Loved almost everything about the whole experience! The only negative was that the tables are very close quarters, so we were constantly bumping into other guests who were walking by. Other than that, it was an exceptional experience and I look forward to coming back!
Always good. Always creative. Never disappointed. Worth every $.
My husband and I had many recommendations to come here, so we did for our anniversary. It was delicious! Definitely a great, 'True Texan' place to eat!
Dai Due never fails to generate an amazing experience!
The Boar is outstanding!
This might be the best staff of all the restaurants in Austin and we've eaten at all of the high-end ones.
We go often and love Dai Due. The menu is imaginative but not to the detriment of delicious. Great food!!
Fantastic food and amazing service
The food was very good, but the menu was limited, particularly for someone with dietary restrictions. We were also disappointed that we were not able to take part in the Supper Club. It had sold out just as we arrived, so we had to watch all the other diners receive their Supper Clubs :(. We were celebrating a birthday and were gifted free dessert, which was thoughtful. Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Delicious as always! The supper club is a must!
Outstanding services and food as usual from Dai Due. Can’t wait to come back for another date night — and to visit the butcher shop for Thanksgiving prep.
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Will go back again.
Great service. Welcoming environment. Food was excellent as was the wine.
Our server was wonderful! Due to a mix-up, our 4th was at the Dai Due tacqueria (20 minutes away) not a problem, even on a busy night. She patiently explained their menu and the all Texas drink line-up, and menu. The food was wonderful, as we shared the wagu steak, the quail, the wild boar confit and the potato side. Oh those amazing potatoes!!!! We loved it all, and washed it down with the Malbec blend....which as she had explained was light (due to the blend of 6 grapes), and went perfectly with the meal. All in all, a wonderful meal, and one I would recommend!
There was one other couple in the restaurant and the waitress did not check on us frequently. I had to go and ask to order a dessert and ask for the bill. I felt it was over priced for the quality of food.
Awesome. Order the wild boar confit.
Menu had several items sold out by nearly 8PM. Other than that the dinner was terrific.
Great food. Recommend sharing entrees.
Heard about this restaurant on my favorite podcast the MeatEater podcast. Immediately purchased Chef Griffiths cook book and my wife and I were already looking for a vacation for a weekend. Austin sounded great so we got an apartment down the street from Dai Due for a few days.
From the moment we walked in I knew we made the right choice coming out to experience this place. The staff was extremely welcoming and informative about the menu. And the food was perfect. Great portions for the price, amazing flavors and execution of the menu.
For anyone in Austin this is a must! Well worth a flight from Detroit to Austin to try out this restaurant.
Tried the Supper Club special...tallow fried chicken! Everything was amazing and the service was excellent!! Will do it again for sure!
We went on a Saturday and got their second menu which came with a soup, entree and dessert. It was soo good! Our waiter was also very friendly.
Delicious! We will be back.
Knowledgeable service and tremendous food. Even though everything is sourced from Texas, it’s not cheap, but totally worth the splurge. Highly suggest the cold meat board.
The food was exceptional as always. The apps and drinks came in a timely manner but the entrees took too long. Everyone at the table remarked. Then when we completed the meal it took too long to wave down the waitress for a check. Normally the service is very good. Will go back but service was average at best. Waitress not engaged.
First heard about Dai Due on The Meateater podcast and felt compelled to check it out because of all the local sourcing. And I was very glad we did, as the food did not disappoint. Everything was exceptional. It can get a little noisy during peak hours. And I suggest getting there early before they start running out of things. Excellent restaurant, highly recommend it.
Food was tasty, but we were given the wrong daily special menu. We still order it but was never told the price also increased by $30. We got lots of meat, but still not worth $130
The food was absolutely orgasmic! This was the last restaurant my mother and I ate at before leaving for home and it was the most memorable and delicious. The staff was tremendous and helpful with suggestions. The restaurant smelled amazing and the food was better. There is a very rustic and earthly feel to the restaurant and you can taste the culinary passion in every bite of food.
Knowledgeable wait staff about the dishes and wine. Shrimp toast and the wagyu burger were amazing!
Not only one of the best restaurants in Austin, one of the best in Texas, thus the world. Easily a 5-star sweep.
Great place! This is a super super cool restaurant. love the concept, hope to return!
Outstanding restaurant. can't say enough about it. The food was incredible. The absolute highest quality ingredients-their proteins are unparalleled, the herbs and greens come from their own garden and everything else is super fresh and locally sourced. Pork chops seasoned and cooked to perfection. Portions are hearty. This is a great place to eat if you have food allergies (no gluten, paleo, keto etc.) as it's easy to do a clean protein and veggies. The service was superb. Loved our waitress. So friendly, helpful and extremely well versed on the menu. Went out of her way for us. We took home several meats from the deli to make a sandwich on the plain (salami, pastrami, roast beef) and some of their housemade rye. My husband said it was some of the best deli meat he's ever had. High recommend this place.
We had the most amazing server - Tracy - she more like a menu guide - totally amazing!!!! Having never been here before she guided us on the best food choices and proper amount. She is very talented and you MUST ask for her to guide you through your dinner experience!! AMAZING!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
Everything was great - food was phenomenal!!
Thanks for a great night
It’s fine, but not that interesting to me. I like the burger, but there are others that are equally good. It’s good if you’re looking for an unusual cut of meat or way into butcher shops.
On my birthday I wanted something new and something special, after all you don't turn 63 everyday.
We live in Marble Falls so it's an hour drive. My wife and I was pleasantly surprised that Dai Due was everything we had hoped. We love wild game dinners of all kinds and this place didn't disappoint. I had the Wild Boar Lettuce Wraps, they were so good we decided to buy some Wild Boar Bratwurst sausages to cook at home. Those were also wonderful. Thanks Gang, you made my birthday special.
Delicious food and great vibe! Will definitely go back!
There are some interesting dishes on the menu. A couple of things were really good. The noise level is high and the tables are so close together and small you can't have a private conversation or hear well. The small tables make it difficult to order much as there is no room for drinks and food. Our server was a star.
We were there at 7:15 on a Friday and they were out of 3 of our menu choices!
One of a kind restaurant with amazing food and drink - it is truly a terrific experience of delightful smells and tastes and setting!
Fresh ingredients and attentive waitstaff. One of our favorite restaurants in Austin.
