We visited Seattle in celebration of our 37th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Andra Hotel. We saw HAMILTON and MAMA MIA and strolled around town. One of our highlights was a meal at Dahlia’s and choosing some goodies from the bakery for later! We have enjoyed several of Tom Douglas’ restaurants particularly loving LOLA’S but our meal at Dahlia was perfect!
A new (but oldie) Seattle favorite for us!

Every dish was beautiful and , more importantly delicious. It’s expensive but worth it. Peking duck was a standout, as was the short rib. Be sure to get some coconut cream pie.

As always, the Dahlia was wonderful. Great food. The beet salad and the sockeye salmon were particularly delicious! Great service, good drinks, and a good wine selection.

My hubby & I had tried a dinner date there & I was thrilled to see they had brunch Sat.& Sun., so we made a reservation for Sat. mid morning. I gave them a heads up that I needed a quiet corner booth in my reservation (for special needs daughter). However, when we got there, even though the place was more than half empty, we were sat in the middle of the restaurant at the half booth half chair row of dining. It is hard to juggle a special needs little one in public alone, while my hubby was parking the car, so I just sat down, & it was a problem from that second on for the next 10 mins. I am grateful that when my husband took her out to calm her down, that the server that came by was extremely helpful & upon my request, moved us to the perfect corner booth for the rest of our meal. Our next server was just as kind and helpful. Their bloody mary was PERFECT, right amount of vinegar & back of the tongue spicy bite.
Hubby loved his duck hash, w/ house sausage. I ordered the french toast w/ fried chicken & my complaint is that the menu didn't state powdered sugar was going to be on top OF EVERYTHING, it's one of my biggest breakfast/brunch pet peeves, & my entire meal was covered in it as it arrived. Usually I would send it back, but we were starving & under a time crunch, so I just didn't eat the french toast and the chicken that had it on it and gave it to my hubby, he loved it.
What I did eat was delicious, his duck egg from his hash & a few small pieces of fried chicken.
My daughter had the chicken strips & fries and she was thrilled with them. My only complaint, and this is one I have with every restaurant serving children food, is that it is brought out scalding hot, & a kid is expected to stare at something they cannot have for a good 5-10 mins. YES it was that hot.
Our server was attentive and lovely our whole visit, and even brought us coffee and hot chocolate to go, with the croissants we ordered for a snack for our long day trip we were headed out on.

My experience here was mediocre at best. There is a 20% service charge on the bill (fine, if I get good service). I was dining alone, my server said hello once, took my order, dropped off my food, took away my tea infuser (without asking, I would have loved more water), then dropped my bill off on the table before I even finished my food. I was trying to have a leisurely breakfast and the restaurant wasn't full (his section next to the bar was completely empty save for me), but instead of checking in, refilling my water, and letting me enjoy myself, I had a $27 breakfast for one, without the option to rehydrate, while I watched him flirt with his female coworkers. Totally ridiculous.

The food was simply, amazing. One of my favorite Tom Douglas restaurants. We ordered the crab cakes and 5-spice rotisserie duck and they did not disappoint. The duck was fire roasted - you can see the fire pit because it’s an open kitchen view. My boyfriend had the crab cakes - you could taste it was fresh and the crabs were the star; I’ve found other restaurants to put too many ingredients in their crab cakes, which make it an overkill.

The service was good for the most part - the only reason why I didn’t give service a 5 star is because our waiter wasn’t very attentive, but other employees were around to always help. Our waiter pushed on ordering apps or small plates to share and seemed a tad bothered when we declined to. He also didn’t check on us; regularly, and beverage I ordered came after our entrees arrived, but only after I reminded him twice for it. They were busy, I’ll give him that. All in all, I’d come back for the food!

I've eaten here for 25 years but not recently. It didn't matter. It was just as good as the first time. The table waiter was excellent and service was so very prompt.

My first time here and I was so glad that I finally decided to give it a try. Food was outstanding, the service was great and the whole atmosphere was fantastic.
My wife and I are wondered why we had not come in before this. Highly recommend

Every time I’ve eaten at the Dahlia Lounge over the past ten years I’ve had a fantastic meal! This time I had the fried chicken salad - so delicious and unique! Don’t forget to go next door for some great bakery items to take home for the next day. The server was wonderful too. I’m Grateful!

The food was great as always. The issue we had was with service. The waiter took a long time to take order & was not attentive. We had to wait 15 min after we finished to even get a desert menu & ran away before getting coffee orders. Had to ask for check waiting another 15 min. My boss had to leave before the desert even came. Not a good impression for our vendors.

Love the ambiance. A rush as one enters the restaurant.
Food is a bit too oily and buttery. Bottom line too rich.
We've been dining with Dahlia for over a decade. There not one dish on the menu that brings us back....meaning theres always forget what we ate.Nothing in our memory sticks.
I sense this is important. Is there any signature dish that stands alone. I say no.

Dined here on Valentine's Day and it was perfect! They had a special menu and had decorated with balloons. The ambience was fun and romantic and big city hipster (in a good way) ! The food was absolutely wonderful, beautifully plated and extra delicious!
