The food was excellent- however service was below expectations and there was an automatic 20% gratuity.

Food is good as always. Service was always good at TD’s restaurants. I agree with the 20% gratuity / service charge .... all the time Except this brunch. Our waitress was ... careless.

She took our order, delivered the food and didn’t want to spend a *Second more for her tables.

There’re yummy condiments came with our meals. We tried to find out but the waitress was not available. Of course, we found out what it was until our food was almost gone .....
A. disappointed. brunch.

Thank you, Dahlia Lounge, for the great food and drinks. No thanks to our server.

The server was as helpful as she could be but I won't be back for lunch unless you find it to offer more than one GF menu item. The spinach salad was pretty bland. Eating GF is not a fad - for those with Celiac it is a required way of life. We like food too and would hope that leading restaurateurs like Tom Douglas would offer choices for great food without the gluten.

In the beginning.......there was the Dahlia Lounge. Now, there is a Tom Douglas empire, but the Dahlia Lounge remains in tip-top form. Everytime I go there for lunch, I try really really hard NOT to order the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup; but alas, I can't walk away from the crunchy bread, the melted cheese from heaven, and the second best tomato bisque I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. (Yeah, I *do* think mine is better....but just by a skosh.)
If you're popping into Seattle, this is the one restaurant you need to eat at. If you live here, you already know what tastiness awaits you. And if you haven't been to the DL in a while, come back. Your old friend is just as lovely as the last time you visited.

After a civil wedding ceremony we dined at the Dahlia Lounge with our "witnesses". The waitstaff treated us royally, even presenting us with a wedding gift! Our excellent cake was from the next-door Dahlia Bakery (the cake came with a card signed by the entire bakery staff!). We will never forget this wonderful evening. Thank you Dahlia Lounge!

First time visiting Seattle and picked Dahlia Lounge to celebrate my birthday with friends. Restaurants tend to be quieter right after the holidays so, the atmosphere was probably quiter than usual- it was a Wednesday night but so nice to be able to hear/have conversation with our friends. Got there early enough to enjoy the tail end of Happy Hour- their signature Red Dahlia drink is a beautiful pre-dinner cocktail- I had 2! I loved getting the complimentary assorted bar snacks: nuts, olives and popcorn. I also enjoyed some fresh little oysters! Our friends had the bread salad and fries to start- both tasty. For my main entree, I ordered what Giada DeLaurentis said is the “best thing [she] ever ate in Seattle”- the Lemon Scallion Crab Cakes. I must say they did not disappoint. It was certainly a complete meal but not too heavy because they don’t fill their crab cake with filler, so I had room for dessert. DO NOT skip their coconut cream pie! I rarely order dessert but it was my bday so we got that + the made to order donuts. Incredibly delicious! I probably could’ve finished it all myself! My husband and his friend enjoyed their Pekin Duck and petite steak entrees. Our friends are Seattle-natives and it was also their first time dining at Dahlia Lounge for dinner- the wife had enjoyed brunch there before and they bakery and they loved it. It was the perfect dinner to a beautiful birthday spent in Seattle.

Are waiter was new to the Dahlia Lounge but we appreciated Brian's efforts and his personality. The only complaints were because the latte's were lukewarm at best.

Very impressed! Excellent service on a very busy New Year's Eve. One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. He had the duck and I had the braised beef short ribs. Couldn't have been more tender. Perfection is the only word to describe our meal from appetizer through dessert. The donuts for dessert are a must try! It is definitely a foodie's destination.

The love of my life just got home from 3 weeks in Michigan taking care of her ailing father. He passed away on Winter Solstice & it’s been a sad, joyful, exhausting experience for her. I thought it’d be nice to have brunch at the Dahlia between airport pickup & getting her home. The Dahlia never disappoints, the food is always delicious & the service is always top shelf.

The food was great as usual, but there were no specials the evening we went (which I thought was strange, but the server acted as if that was typical). Our service was pretty slow. At first I thought she was just trying to not interfere in our conversation, but as we lingered for what seemed like forever after the last bite of dessert was eaten and the parking garage was closing, I had to ask for the bill.

Christmas Eve lunch at the Dahlia Lounge has been an annual event for my family for 27 years! We always sit at our favorite booth and the food and staff are fantastic. Of course besides a great menu we always order their (not on the menu) fries with homemade aioli and homemade catsup. These were a hit when my children were little —but we still enjoy them as our appetizer as adults. We love the decor and food is always great. You have to have the coconut cream pie and the pear tart! Yum

This is my first time at the Dahlia Lounge. I took my sister for her birthday dinner and it was a treat for both of us! We both had the petite steak with a side of fries followed by fluffy and crisp bartlett pear tart with bay leaf ice cream. The food and service was wonderful. I would like to comment on the noise level though as it didn’t feel like a “Lounge” since people’s conversation competed with the music and the noise got louder during our dinner. I would suggest a table away from the bar area if one wants to a quieter dining experience. Other than that, it’s a nice restaurant.

Disappointed. I’ve wanted to eat at Dahlia Lounge for so long and was thrilled to finally get reservations for brunch. The device was impeccable, but the food was disappointing. The eggs in the Benedict were overdone and the pork loin in it was very tough. Others in our party had the spinach salad, which was fine, and an omelette, which was okay. Won’t be going back.

We went for my friend’s birthday celebration and the food was disappointing. The server was great but the overall experience was a let down. My friend ate duck and I had steak. Neither one was flavorful and for this reason we felt we overpaid for dinner. In the past I have only ordered crab cakes there, and I was sorry that I didn’t this time. Maybe they would have been yummier. We did order bread and butter and that was delicious.
