Perfect lunch with friends! Wonderful waitress, Excellent food! No noise! I had their great grilled cheese and cup of tomato soup with a piece of coconut pie -- what's not to like?
Delicious Valentine’s Day dinner and drinks! Good service.
I considered canceling our reservation due to the on set of the snow, but glad we decided to stick it out. The food was excellent and the service didn’t waver due to any anticipation of being short staffed.
Lovely spot downtown! Original Tom Douglas restaurant with locally sourced whole foods and cozy atmosphere. The service was outstanding (20% tip included in check as part of keeping staff well paid). I ordered the crab cakes which were delicious and came recommended. My date ordered the 8 oz skirt steak and was equally delicious. Loved our experience and would highly recommend
Our favorite go to place for lunch, excellent menu, perfect service and great ambience, don't miss going to Dahlia as we call it...
Dahlia Lounge is five star every time. Service, food, ambiance, everything top drawer!
Food was very tasty, though not as good as their sister restaurant (Lola). I was hoping that their cappuccino was larger and better for the price. Also, while the food was very tasty, I was hoping for a bit more of a cozy experience and larger brunch menu.
Loved this restaurant! Food was delicious and the service great!
Came here for a post-race brunch. Got seats at the bar right away. Yummy mimosa, okay coffee, fantastic orange French toast with brûlée’d bananas and the most generous, perfect side of bacon a girl could ask for. I will go back just for that. Note that 20% tip is built in; two of us for breakfast, one mimosa each, was $90. No wonder we don’t do brunch very often anymore.
The crab cakes were delicious, although quite small and only two. It was served with a very small amount of sauce spread on the bottom of the plate, but it was no trouble to ask for more. It was quite an expensive dish. The duck was truly excellent. OK, it had fat, but that’s was made it so moist and delicious. Creme brûlée for desert was perfect.
Had the Coho Salmon; it was great. Dessert even better...grapefruit pavlova.
Great service and nice atmosphere. Food was good but not great except grilled cheese and tomato soup was superb. Donut dessert was also quite tasty.
Maybe the best bread salad I have ever tasted. Dungeness crab cake 5 star. Nice wine selection . Great knowledgeable service .
As always, the food was terrific, but service was hurried. Glasses were whisked away with a sip left, plates were taken away when side dishes were still full, so we had to scrounge a fork. Disappointing.
Dahlia's Lounge is a must every time I go to Seattle. We had the Seafood small plates...all of them... and each was delightful. Fresh with nice subtle flavors. Staff was friendly and most helpful with recommendations.
Regarding the food... I had the cod. It was overcooked and dry. The grain served with it was soggy.
We split a scallop appetizer. It is hard to imagine serving a smaller portion.
All in all, neither of us was impressed, I am sorry to say.
Regarding the service... We showed up a bit early and were seated very quickly. Service was there when we needed it, and everyone was very nice.
Solo dining is not my favorite thing, but the Dahlia Lounge made it a pleasure. I was given a lovely quiet booth with which to enjoy a 1920's Manhattan, a warming bowl of cauliflower soup and delicious Dungeness crabcakes. The service was attentive and considerate, the room woody and beautiful.
We love the restaurant, food, and atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Delicious food. Gracious service. A little on the expensive side.
Lovely, great place to share
Everything was perfect. Went back for lunch the very next day.
A wonderful dinner, marred only by a sub-par dessert (I didn't love or finish my pavlova)
Food was good but I was expecting a little more given the food network revie
Great food. Great waitress
The service was REALLY slow, other than that great food
Food was good but way more expensive. Tipping is a mandatory 20%. Our waiter was good but he didn't really manage our dining. He took our order and then basically disappeared until it was time to solicit for desserts. Food servers brought entrees while we still hadn't finished appetizers. Very awkward as they expected us to clear our plates to accommodate their placing our entrees on the table. I always expect the waiter to manage the dining experience and it didn't appear that this restaurant is set up for that. And one of my top peeves ... servers started clearing plates before everyone at table was finished. I just found the service to be shoddy and not worthy of an automatic 20%.
This is probably my favorite Seattle restaurant. The menu never looks all that appealing, but the execution is always flawless. I've never had anything that I didn't absolutely love.
It has been some time since I've dined at the Dahlia Lounge and selected this restaurant as it is walkable to the Moore Theater. My niece and I shared a lovely bottle of French Rose while we enjoyed a lovely meal with great service. Starting with the Alaskan Scallops prepared with pears, arugula and sun choke chips, then splitting the prime rib and substituted the mashed potatoes for the new boiled potatoes. Absolutely fantastic, yet the gem of the night was the desert. Kumquats, lovely sauce with a meringue topped with slices of grapefruit - light as air and perfectly balanced.
Great time at Dahlia Lounge. Their host was very accommodating when we needed to adjust our reservation. Food was excellent and well priced!
Such excellent food!! Bread Salad, Crab Cakes, Banana cream pie!! Yummy! ryan was a great waiter also!. Loved the decor we had a wonderful booth to people watch. The Hostess was awesome also. We'll definitely be back!
Great food and great service. Perfect place if you're going to the Moore Theater.
Great food. Good atmosphere for business discussions.
it was too expensive in that their food quality was really not special at all.
We are vegetarian, and my frustration is the menu changes that vary the number of potential choices for us. When I made the reservation, I checked the on- line menu and there were lots of vegetable side dishes, appetizers and two entrees for us to choose from. When we arrived, we still had two entrees, but other choices had markedly dwindled. We have eaten there in the past and had much fun trying a variety of things among us- this time, we all had to order the same thing because that was all that worked for us. Being aware of this problem, a restaurateur can try to make side dishes and appetizers veg friendly by structuring the dish in a way that the meat can be left out and still enjoyed.
Dahlia is our go to restaurant for special occasions. It was our daughters 12th birthday and we made a reservation in advance on Open Table and requested a booth and mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived at our reservation time, we were told by the hostess that they did not save a booth for us because they had so many walk-in customers and they didn't want to say no to their requests. We were in shock that they would prioritize customers that walked in over those that made reservations! There was one booth left but we were told that it was reserved for Tom Douglas' friends. Funny, that they didn't give that booth to another customer.
Anyway, we decided to wait for a booth and were seated after 15 mins. We had a fantastic waiter and the service was perfect which almost made up for the horrible hostess. The food was very good and the donuts with the spreads were a hit as always, especially with a candle in them for my daughters birthday.
Overall, despite the booth situation, it was wonderful meal and evening.
Very nice ambience, service and food. The service was great, should probably order more appetizers than normal if you are sharing (small), entrees were good but maybe not their best night, the Tom Douglas standby desserts were great (made to order donuts and triple coconut cream pie)......overall a good experience.
Not really their fault but there was extremely loud party of eight in middle of restaurant and their acoustics couldn’t handle it. We all got to experience their dinner.
Great food! Watch out for the 20% gratuity automatically included in your bill, especially if you like expensive bottles of wine. Never understood why high-end restaurants don't just charge a flat fee for opening up a bottle of wine, regardless of price of the wine. Seems crazy to pay $20 trip to open up a $100 bottle of wine, let alone $40 for a $200 bottle of wine.
The cod was amazing!
Food was okay. Pork chop over done. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very nice.
