This is the best Italian restaurant in Northern Virginia and one of the best in the Washington, DC area. The food is excellently prepared and the taste is spectacular! The service is excellent and always ready to accommodate your needs. With all the construction going on in Tyson’s Corner area, the restaurant is a little difficult to get to, but well worth the effort.
This is a special restaurant with an outstanding staff and authentic Italian food! It’s my favorite spot for a personal business dinner!
Amazing food and wonderful service. It’s one of our favorite places. I highly recommend dining here, no matter the occasion. But they know how to make special occasions even better!!!
Great food to accompany dinner with our friends. We will be back!
In town for meetings. Not wanting to eat at the hotel, selected DaDomenico. Excellent choice. Service, food all great. Will be back again when in town!
Well done, Da Domenico! Hadn't been there in a while - glad I came back.
Authentic Italian in every way but the address. Thank you for a memorable dinner!
It was a Friends Birthday. Our waitress was Anna and she was wonderful!
Traditional Italian fare done nicely. Same for restaurant and staff. Like going back in time.
The veal chop that is supposed to be there specialty and the best in town was tough and fatty and was very disappointing. Things have really gone down hill there from what is used to be!
Great attention to details, excellent food, and highly recommend.
Phenomenal food and great service with fun humpr!
Seafood fra diavolo special was good, mixed salad good, mozzarella special good - just not great.
Da Domenico dinner was horrible. Spaghetti was terrible, was over done, the sauce looked muddy, very thick and not a juicy tomato sauce at all. It appeared as though the spaghetti and sauce was days old. They presented the spaghetti as a round thick ball instead of a layed out portion with a very nice sauce topping. The veal was hard to cut and not very tasty, and the caesar salad was so thick with salad dressing it wasn't very good. In a party of four, three of us did not enjoy this dining experience. There are far better Italian restaurants in McLean and Tysons so avoid Da Domenico.
Very good! Food was outstanding!! And the wait staff was superb!
Excellent food and service. Decor could use updating, but it was a great meal and we would go again.
Traditional Italian fare, served in a quiet, old-school atmosphere.
Everyone enjoyed their food although three of us got the same special - Cleopatra which was great!
Wonderful, charming Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food is spectacular. This is always my go-to place to bring clients. They rave about it.
Not being from the area, I was somewhat thrown by the entrance to the restaurant, which is in a strip mall that is sort of run down looking. But the entrance to the restaurant itself is fine. The dressed up appearance is a little surreal compared to the other stores. When you walk in, it's quite a surprise with colorful deep red walls, white tablecloths - it adds up to a nice restaurant, but not stuffy at all. We sat in a booth which was very nice.
The service was quite attentive. The food was very good-it was clearly made and presented with a lot of pride. I haven't had good Italian food in this area before, just chain stuff, but this is the real deal. My husband and I had seafood dishes which were exquisite. My cousins had fish and chicken, which were good-I think the scallops and lobster tail were better. The sauces did not smother and overwhelm.
Dessert was clearly homemade tiramisu, which was fantastic.
So if you want to get away from the sheer volume of glitzy, chain restaurants and the overwhelming eating at the mall experience-dine here for authentic Italian fare. If you come from an area or family where you are used to eating superior Italian food-you will be glad you ate here.
Traveling with my wife to see sights in DC. Celebrating birthday and we’re looking for a romantic, authentic small Italian restaurant. DaDomenico fit the bill. The halibut in wine sauce was perfect, very generous portion and the seafood linguini was a feast for the eyes as well as the appetite. An entire lobster tail, huge shrimp, and tons of mussels. Scallops were available but by personal preference I asked them to be omitted. Our waiter, Jose, was courteous and helpful and suggested a wonderful wine. An Italian Primitivo well worth the price. Tiramisu yo top it off and so we highly recommend DaDomenico’s to anyone in the DC or McLean area.
Took my parents for Father's Day weekend, Saturday night. My parents are from out of town, and Dad just requested "Italian." I'd been here about ten years ago, and remember it pretty fondly, but my dad was ecstatic! Ravioli was melt in your mouth; trust me, Dad is a total foodie and snob :)
Good wine list, I loved the cannoli, and my mom was happy too. Convenient, comfortable, delicious; and the service was top notch. Thanks!
The food was too salty for us, but the bigger concern for us is that the entree had small olives that weren’t pitted. One person in our party broke a tooth. I didn’t break a tooth, but I did have a sore tooth.
Great food great prices
The food was excellent and a good value.
The lads were great with the service, and the saltimbocca was brilliant. I had an Amarone by the glass. Nice. We’ll be back.
Food was delicious and wait staff was very attentive and polite. I'd recommend this restaurant for a date or for any special occasion.
It was wonderful
We came for our anniversary and loved it!!! We just had them prepare whatever they wanted and each course was cooked to perfection. The service was second to none with great attention to detail. The veal was tender and the tiramisu was the best I ever had!
Fantastic experience as always -- friendly and excellent service, superb cuisine, and wonderful and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Delightful evening. Will visit again! Great service and food!
I saw high ratings and expected really good food, but turned out everything was just mediocre, nothing special. I’m a vegetarian so I’m limited and hard to pick. I was either going to pick the eggplant parmigiana or the potato dumpling with mozzarella, the waiter suggested the potato dumplings with mozzarella and tomato sauce, and so I picked that one. I should have went with the eggplant first. My 2 friends’ meals were mediocre too, the rockfish and chicken francese was nothing special. It was such a shame because a more neighborhood friendly Italian place could have been better than that. We also ordered the tomato mozzarella caprese and caeser salad as appetizers and they were nothing special either. I have had tomato mozzarella better at other Italian restaurants. I’m not coming back here for this price. Thank you.
We chose this restaurant for its Italian ambiance to celebrate our 47th Wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was sensational.
We will definitely return in the future ! Beni..
DaDomenico is always outstanding. Old world charm, excellent food, terrific wait staff, quiet but inviting dining room. We had lunch recently, shared a buffalo mozzarella appetizer, very good. One had pasta with veal ragu, it was tasty and a big portion for lunch. Other diner had eggplant parmigiana, also excellent. We shared a panne cotta which was outstanding. For the money this restaurant is a great value.
Great across the board. A gem. Will go back
I had not been back in a few years so was pleased to see the restaurant is basically the same in terms of ambience and overall cleanliness. I had a business lunch and although the dining room had few customers at noon, it was half filled by 12:30 pm. The acoustics are good so you could have a quiet conversation and not be overwhelmed by the noise from the kitchen and other tables which made it very relaxing. I had the ravioli Genovese which was delicious and a substantial portion size for lunch. My colleague had the lasagna and it was also a good size portion. Lunch came with a small salad and bread. Just the right amount of food. The wait for the entrée was a little long but the food appeared fresh. The servers were attentive and watchful but didn't interrupt our conversation which I appreciate it.
Da Domenico always impresses. The food is great and the service is beyond amazing-always friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious. Best gnocchi my wife has ever had. The veal chop never disappoints. Service was perfect. My wife asks a lot of questions, and the waiter was patient and made excellent suggestions. The cannoli reminded me of what I used to get in New York, absolutely delicious.
Excellent service, extensive menu and very good food.
Salad, appetizer, and main courses were outstanding. Dessert was mediocre. Will definitely return.
