Food was OK, just a little warmer than room temperature. Service was horrible, not friendly at all.
The service was great! Everything was fresh and seasoned well. The pasta was cooked perfectly.
Fantastic food and service. This is a little known hot spot in Tysons Corner. It is now my go-to restaurant to take clients at lunch and for evenings with my wife. We love it!! Super impressive!
Very good veal and service
This place is a throwback to the family owned italian restaurants (read non-chain). There was no input from a focus group in terms of this place but that it what gives it charm. The food is very good not great, the ambiance is a bit dated but that in itself is the allure. The achilles heal is the service, I had to walk the staff through the service (e.g. can we get bread, can you take our drink order, will you please bring a menu). The place was about 25% full, not sure what the staff was doing on a Saturday night at 7 but they must have had a meeting in the back. It is also off the beaten path. In short, they are an interesting place to try being held back by poor management.
The restaurant was almost empty and we had to ask a couple of times for several things like lemon for ice tea. The salmon was overcooked, too dry and the coffee was cold. Others said their dishes were good.
Our dinner was excellent! There are very few good Italian restaurants in this area and DaDomenico is, in our opinion, the best. The food is always fresh, abundant and perfectly prepared. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, close by but not overbearing.
Love this classic style, old school haunt that harkens back to the trusty 80s family italian restaurant. The food is fine but the service during our last visit just wasnt up to speed for what we paid. Long waits, inconsistent timing, etc just couldn't justify the $100+ tab for two. Part of me hopes they can update and improve without giving away that nostalgic charm.
The place needs a decor refresh
Very quaint Italian restaurant, hospitable and good service. The food was very good with everything we had. They even treated us to a sample of a creamy dessert that was excellent. Would recommend and would go again when we're in the area.
The food and service were great. The atmosphere is a little dated the same song kept playing in a loop, but our waitress kept it friendly and fun.
The food was outstanding!!! The service was great.
We had a great meal. The veal chop was excellent and so was the veal Marsala. I highly recommend this restaurant since it is an excellent meal was beginning to end.
Da Domenico probably started when Tyson's Corner Center was about the only other thing around the area. Now, it's at the end of a closed road because of the mushrooming development in "America's Next Great City." Let's hope it holds on because the food certainly makes it worthwhile. Everything we had was delicious starting with the simple but very flavorful Bruschetta. For one of the main dishes we had the Monte Cristo which came with at least six large shrimp topping a generous portion of long pasta in a light sauce. The other was the Pollo Romana, lightly breaded chicken breast in a fresh mushroom sauce. Both dishes would be hard to top at any other Italian restaurant. For dessert we had the Dark Chocolate cake which while excellent seemed a bit overpriced at $9.00. We topped it off with double espressos which had just the right balance of strength and bitterness. As long as it's there, we will return to Da Domenico.
Sorry. Usually we love it. Been going since the original owners in the 80’s. But Valentines at 7:25PM it was chaos.
No host, hostess or owner. Tables available but wait staff was in the weeds (It was before 8). There was a couple waiting in front of us and we stood there for 5 minutes. When 3 more couples arrived we called it quits. We wanted to get home before 10 and it looked like that was not going to happen. Our first date was there 34 years ago...our last there was 2/14/2018.
Too bad. We didn’t eat there but the review would not let me submit without all answers. The food is usually great. The ambiance has gone down since they packed the bar area and glassed in dining area with more tables. The noise was low because the place was only 1/3 full.
Been coming here every Valentine's Day for the past 4-5 years. Every year the quality of service lessens. Luckily the quality of food remains delicious. I understand that Valentine's Day is like Superbowl for restaurants, but you would expect to get all the help you can get and then some. The host/manager/waiter consistently left the door causing a line to form multiple times. Our server was nice but definitely overworked. Everyone around us definitely had a hard time getting service. Food was delicious but probably last time we return.
I had looked at the menu on Open Table and found the prices to be reasonable. However, when we showed up we were given a Valentine's Day menu with prices that appeared to be about 50% higher. Also, the service was not that great and portion size on my linguine with clams was pretty small for $27. I'd consider going again, but only if I checked the prices on their website and brought a printout with me.
Da Domenico is our go-to restaurant for Valentine's Day. As always, it was wonderful!
Area staple consistently cranking out very good standard Italian fare. Items from the grill are their best dishes.
Food was excellent! An old time favorite for us for many years.
Lovely Staff and wonderful food. Great choices on menu.
Recommended by a friend and found DaDomenico's charming and delicious. The staff couldn't have been better. The food well YUM !
Food was excellent and great service. We will be going back soon. Prices reasonable.
Overall a good meal, but one of our dishes was overlooked. This was after specifically asking for it (salmon) to be cooked so there was still pink. Not only was it over cooked, the waiter didn’t seem to care when we pointed it out.
This was our third year in a row to celebrate my husband's birthday on Christmas Eve at Da Domenico. The food wasn't as good as usual, but we were there early in the day and maybe the kitchen hadn't geared up yet. We've been for Valentine's dinner, too. The back room is charming and romantic.
Haven't been here in years. Food was wonderful. Staff was great I can't stop talking about it. I will go again soon and hope all my friends will also.
We went for a special occasion dinner after a night at the movies. It was a perfect end to a wonderful evening. The food is amazing, the waitstaff super attentive, and I always look forward to finding an opportunity to drive from the Frederick area to enjoy this restaurant.
I took my team out to lunch, 8 people, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had dishes ranging from chicken to veal to linguini and clam sauce. All were very good and the guys really enjoyed the flavor and authenticity.
Maybe it was so quiet because of the time...that was the best feature, along with very good waitstaff/service. The bread and our wine selection was nice, but the food was just OK. Linguine Cleopatra was very heavy and the some of the seafood in it was rubbery when it should not have been. Veal dish looked mass produced, with slices of cheese melted on top. The decor is ok but facility really needs an overhaul. The ceiling was downright scary.
This place is a hidden gem! Tough to find if you use their actual address as it’s actually on pinnacle drive not chain bridge. The pasta dishes we all had were delicious. Veal was tasty and service was professional which is very rare these days. Great place.
Great food and ambiance. Candle lit and romantic although the ceiling could use some work.
DaDomenico seemed authentic. The food was good but nothing outstanding for the cost. Most of the party ended up getting the specials as presented by the waiter which in all cases was priced more than most menu items. The only person getting the lasagna on the regular menu said it was good. The sauces were good, the pastas seemed authentic but not served al-dente as I would expect at higher priced restaurant. The mussels were disappointing and the sauce seemed a bit thin on flavor--i'm used to sponging the sauce with bread and it wasn't worth it. I've had better at home.
We all felt so special, we were treated with smiles and extremely courteous service. The food heavenly, my chicken Marcella so tender I thought it was veal! Our guest could not stop complementing her delicious choice of a meal! Delicious, delicious, delicious.
Food and service were excellent. Authentic Italian food. Appetizers (San Gennaro, calamari and prosciutto/mozzarella) very tasty and done well. Chicken parm was a if hit as was the ravioli and fish special. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
The food was amazing. Delicious and authentic. The atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. There was also a larger group seated who were having a great time talking and laughing and it was not bothersome at all. Good restaurant for a date or for a family dinner.
The food is very good; it was authentic, the portions were good and presentation and the service was good too. It is family business that is very comfortable but nothing fancy.
I returned to this resturant after 17 years (anniversery dinner) and can honestly say noting has changed. As I remember, the food and service remains great! What I did expect some change was the inside decor and furnishings, but it has not. The place looks exactly as it did way back when and therefor looks very dated. If you can get past that, then not a bad choice for casual lunch or dinner.
Yummy. The food is excellent and the staff is very responsive. Hard drive to get to though with all the Tysons road work. Worth the hassle.
Excellent dining experience for special occasions and for hosting friends from out of town
The meal was excellent. The waiter did not rush us. Construction is a bit of a problem, hope they finish soon.
