About Da Vinci Italian Restaurant
Da Vinci Italian restaurant is an authentic bistro serving the classic foods of Italy and Sicily. The restaurant is named for the great artist Leonardo Da Vinci, and the interior of the dining room is decorated with much of the famed painter's works. The lighting is equally as attractive, with many of the regular white lights replaced with pink bulbs that give the whole place a softer feel.
Da Vinci specializes in pizza and other Italian classics. The top of the menu features a "build your own pizza" section in which allows patrons to mix and match the roughly 20 toppings Da Vinci offers. The rest of the menu is filled out with various pasta and grilled dishes. Favorites in this section include a linguini with clam sauce, eggplant parmigiana, cacciatore and Da Vinci's homemade sweet Italian sausage served with mushrooms, garlic, onions, peppers, marinara and penne.

Da Vinci Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
we enjoy the soup and salad and the large portions that come with the meal. Service can be spotty at times, also avoid Tuesdays and weds. the head chef is off and I found the kitchen less than adequate those days. I love there claims in white wine sauce, seafood combo on linguine in white wine sauce, I only give this order to head chief if you want it made right. also eggplant and veal combo.
my chicken was bland and veggies were boring -- i just ordered that cuz my friend who is a health nut -- ordered it -- but it was bland and borning -- the chicken breast -- and veggies bland....tasted like hospital food.....also come on!!!! One freaking garlic roll??? Give me SIX please.....also very small piece of cheesecake for my friend's birthday -- yeah I know it was free -- but come on -- it was enough for two bitefulls.....but place itself was very nice.
We were 8 people for dinner and no one liked their food. The sauce was thick and no taste except 2 pasta dishes which were so spicy it was inedible. I had shrimp parm and it was thickly breaded with tons of sauce and medium shrimp. Now we all know why we have not returned in several years. It is a local restaurant and thought we would give it a chance again. Not happening.
Our service is normally very good but this time it was abominable. Everything served wrong, to the wrong people, things forgotten. and then brought when almost finished some things never arrived.
If this was our first visit I doubt we would return. Bu tafter many many visits we will forgive the transgressions and return
WE WERE REFUSED A TABLE FOR 6 IN THE "FAMILY ROOM" (WERE WERE TOLD THERE WERE INCOMING RESERVATIONS)
HOWEVER TEN MINUTES AFTER WE WERE SEATED IN THE VERY NOISY AND CROWDED MAIN ROOM A TABLE FOR 6 CLEARED AND WAS NEVER OCCUPIED AGAIN, WE ALSO WAITED ALMOST A HALF HOUR BEFORE RECEIVING WATER
We were a table of nine teenagers, middle-agers, and seniors. Each of us found items to suit our tastes.
The food was properly seasoned and fresh tasting. The kitchen is very accommodating and allowed substitutions.
The "family room" is a great place where large parties can sit at a round table and
enjoy the good and conversation.
Tucked away in a typical ares one-story mall with plenty of parking, It's definitely worth a trip for a moderately priced, casual lunch or dinner.
The young staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive...very professional.
A perfect place o dine and catch up with family we hadn't seen in a while.
This was my second visit and was consistently good as the first.
this is the first time we ate in the first room, not the large table room. the tables ere too close together making it difficult for me to get around with my walker. the table was wobbly and it was hard for me to get up. we eat in da vinci all the time but had never had a round table in that room. I think all the round tables should be in the second room.
The food was excellent and the portions were large. The server was rushed and didn't take the time to listen to us. Out of 8 people we had 6 entrees and a pizza to share with 2 diners. The pizza came out at least 10 minutes before the entrees and when I mentioned it to the manager she did little to help. She offered to reheat it but did not do anything else.
Chicken Scarpiella is what my husband orders, and finds Da Vinci does it the best of all the restaurants around. I ordered the linguini with white clam sauce. However I only had 2 shells on the linguini and the clams were chopped into the pasta. I usually have lots of clams on top with clams in the shells. I was a little disappointed in the presentation this evening on the pasta.
The rolls were hard like rocks. We asked for other rolls, but they were just as hard.
Our table for 8 was in a terrible part of the room, very very noisy and the staff did not want to acccomadate us in changing the table to two empty ones in the other room as they were saving it for people who had reservations. I also had a reservation, but that did not seem to matter to them. We were in the middle of the room with a very noisy group next to us and the kitchen noise right nearby. I know now in the future to only ask for a table in the family room when we are a large group.
This is a really fine restaurant for southern Italian food. Their tomato sauce is excellent and you definitely get your money's worth. Speaking of money, it's very moderately priced! If you want a parmigiana dish, try one of the combinations of chicken veal, eggplant, shrimp! And the garlic dinner rolls are tempting to eat, which if you do will assure you will take some of your dinner home in a styrofoam box!
Good solid Italian restaurant. With our Open Table reservation the restaurant had our table set up with menues and waters before we arrived. The two dining rooms were very open and not overly warm & cozy. Service was fast, polite and timely. Garlic & plain rolls were both good and brought without asking Portions were large and they offered a number of Italian combination dinners which you don't find often. Oddly we weren't offered dessert although I know they have them and it wasn't anywhere near closing time. I think it was just an oversight. While I wasn't seeking a dessert I know that group would have ordered some if asked. The wine list was ok with two selections of wine by the glass per wine type. We will certainly return.
This was our first visit to Da Vinci. My first impression was the big round table that we had. We were nine in our party and I hate the rectangular tables because you only talk to your immediate neighbor or the person opposite you. So right there we were happy.
Then the food was great. I had the veal and peppers and it was excellant.
The rest of our party felt the same way about their meals.
And the service was good. Our waitress was pleasant and a good sport because she took a lot of ribbing from a couple of our men.
We are looking forward to a return visit.
Our New Year's Eve table for 10 was fantastic. We were seated at a round table in a corner and had three people serving us. The food was wonderful, water glasses constantly filled - garlic rolls hot and plentiful - not rushed - all in all a RETURN performance - especially on New Year's Eve. We all loved it
Everybody and every thing about the restaurant is terrific. The hostess was very accommodating in seating us, the server was knowledgeable and fun, the food was served hot and the portions were enough so that we had take away for dinner the next night. We were not rushed through our meal. This was our first time at DaVinci and it will not be our last. We will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant.
The restuarant is really well setup. with ample table space and yet brings the diner into contact with the overall energy of all the other diners. Menu is very good with something for all and the portion size was extremely generous and well prepared and tasty.
