This is mom's Italian cooking if mom was a great cook. Been here forever, still here and always good and reasonably priced. Try any pasta — puttanesca, pesto, clam sauce, they're all good. In the mood for rich? The lasagna. Veal, fish, it doesn't matter what you order, you'll walk out happy. If only they delivered everywhere.

This is a superb New York City neighborhood restaurant. It is away from the both the crowds and prices of the theater district yet perfect before or after the theater (the several blocks walk is good for you!!). The food was excellent homemade Italian and the prices definitely less than a similar restaurant on 45th Street closer to Broadway. It was quiet enough for conversation and the waiters provided good service. Go and enjoy!

It’s got an old school Italian restaurant feel. Almost mob-like in the sense that I was put at a table in a side room. Two different waiters asked if I wanted water three times before I got it, so that’s why the service rating is low. The food was ok not great. Typical Italian food, but my pasta was almost too al dente bordering undercooked. It’s definitelt a pre-theater place for tourists as the waiter was surprised we were from the neighborhood. It isn’t anything special.

Staff was great. Small interior but food was outstanding (we all ordered off the specials menu) and dessert's were equally as good. Very reasonable for NYC given it's location (Theatre District) . Will definitely visit again.

I've been here twice now, and both visits were great. Had the fish special both times, and both were very nice. The second visit was a weekend evening, and the place was packed, but manageable, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was bit of a character, which helped make it fun.

We were quite displeased by the service. The waiters pressured us for our order as if they were closing up after us, although we had made a reservation, it was for a typical post-theater meal, and they admitted a party of four after us. When the bread arrived, I could barely eat the rolls. I told the waiter, and rather than apologizing and bringing us a fresh basket, he went to the back and got us two rolls, which he practically threw at us. Bye-bye, Da Tommaso

This restaurant was our fourth or fifth choice, but it ended up being fantastic. The food was classic Italian - exactly what we were looking for and it was VERY good. The wait staff was professional, friendly and efficient. It's a cozy little place but being from California we loved the ambiance and the coziness of it all. We were going to the theatre after and it was also super convenient to wave down a cab.

Needed a good place to eat in the Times Square area with my family after a Broadway show. Food and service was amazing! My family said it was one of the best meals and service we have ever had. Love the authentic Italian staff and European service!

Very classic Italian. No specials or interesting twists on entrees and pricey considering it was lunch.
Service however very nice.

We needed a place close to the theaters but not one that would break the bank. Found this place and we’re glad we did. We arrived before our reservation but were seated immediately. My mom had her walker and my hands were full of theater merchandise but they put all of it in a safe room while we ate. The food was delicious and we cleaned our plates. I highly recommend this as an affordable option for a fancier dining experience. The staff could not be nicer!

DaT is our go-to restaurant when we convene from out of town. It has been this for at least 15 years. When we were younger we would convene 5 to 6 times a year. Now that we are older and so many have passed we convene more like twice a year. DaT has always come through - welcome, food, service, leisurely pace. A TRUE GEM!

Great night out! We got the seafood salad for an appetizer - tangy and delicious and for dinner my husband got the chicken special with sundried tomatoes and shiitake mushrooms (amazing) and I got the spinach ravioli with bolognese sauce (wonderful). We ended the meal with the tiramisu -(beautiful).

Happy date with my husband

Food was fantastic. There were four of us and everyone ordered something different--and each dish was wonderful. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. It's a busy place--don't go there if you want a quiet romantic evening. But if you want great food before you go to a show at City Center, this is the place.

Food well prepared and generally good service. The MD would not do separate checks (one for each couple). Determining the accuracy of the bill was also problematic--handwriting scribbling on a piece of paper (no careful breakdown). The bill was probably accurate but I prefer knowing the specific prices for each item.

It took over an hour to get the food on the table, restaurant and only 3 more tables .. so not busy. The Salomon was awful three of us return it as basically it was past it's due the taste awful. I truly do not understand the ratings on the site, how could it have in zagal a 4.. I will never ever recommend a place like this with very slow service and serving you food that may make you sick.
