Incredible linguine puttanesca - perfectly al dente and bursting with flavor. Great attentive service. Would have liked softly playing music.

What a pleasant surprise to find such great service & wonderful food at such a reasonable price. The Chilean sea bass was wonderful as were the raviolis and the pasta special with seafood. Will definitely return

Food was fantastic. There were four of us and everyone ordered something different--and each dish was wonderful. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. It's a busy place--don't go there if you want a quiet romantic evening. But if you want great food before you go to a show at City Center, this is the place.

Food was authentic for northern Italy and very delicious! Wait staff were Italian and most professional. Love the "old country" feel of the restaurant. Close to theatres also!

Food well prepared and generally good service. The MD would not do separate checks (one for each couple). Determining the accuracy of the bill was also problematic--handwriting scribbling on a piece of paper (no careful breakdown). The bill was probably accurate but I prefer knowing the specific prices for each item.

It took over an hour to get the food on the table, restaurant and only 3 more tables .. so not busy. The Salomon was awful three of us return it as basically it was past it's due the taste awful. I truly do not understand the ratings on the site, how could it have in zagal a 4.. I will never ever recommend a place like this with very slow service and serving you food that may make you sick.

Went post-theater so we were the first people in. Loved the waiter. Very personable. Food was very good. As the place filled up we chatted between tables. Noise level allowed it. Liked the cloth table linens and old fashioned martini glass. Altogether an enjoyable experience.

Great restaurant prior to seeing a show! Additional friends of ours showed up and the host accommodated all of us, and made sure we were well-fed and on our way for the show. Great food, and staff.

Made an open table reservation and arrived 5 minutes before hand. Yes it was later at night but an hour before the last reservation time. Was turned away at the door because they were closed. Ridiculous.

Went for a quick pre-theater dinner. Were seated immediately but waited several minutes for a waiter or the menu. The food was average, as was the pricing. The figs in the prosciutto with figs were large but not ripe. The clams in the linguine with white clam sauce were very large and somewhat tender but didn't appear to have been cleaned, which affected my appetite to be honest. That being said, it's okay for a fast bite before theater. Just don't expect anything beyond having a full belly.

My wife and I were visiting New York, looking for a restaurant in the theatre district. We were taking a bit of a shot in the dark, but were extremely happy with the experience. I would call it very authentic Italian cuisine.

Honestly, I was not that impressed with any dinner we had in NY except for The Melt Shop. My Sprite was flat, tea tasted like it had been sitting for a while. The lasagna. Cheese tortellini and pork chop we're great dishes. I recommend you buy off specials of the day. Overall it was good! Easy to get in and out for theatre.

This was my first time to Da Tomasso. The location, ambiance and service was great but I felt the food was just OK. It just wasn't the best Italian meal that I've had. Again, the food was good but not great.

What a great neighborhood find! Authentic Italian food always offering terrific specials. Well-prepared with stellar service and very reasonably priced! Love the chicken scarpariello! Decor is lovely and cozy and an extra room for overflow. We also enjoy dining at the bar. Great pre-theatre but don't tell anyone! Hehe

This authentic Italian cuisine was bar none the best that I have eaten since being in Italy years ago. They did each dish w the rich savory flavors that brought me back to Rome. The service was exceptional and was the perfect place to dine before seeing our show. I will not hesitate to return on my next visit to NYC. Finally, authentic Italian food done right instead of other versions of Italian fare or pretentious ambiences that tend to complicate the simplicity of amazing Italian food.

Great for a pre-theater meal. Excellent value and delicious pasta! Friendly, attentive, and non-intrusive service. I wanted to find a restaurant that I could bring my 12-y.o. niece to that wouldn't be 'kiddy,' but also not too stuffy. The atmosphere at Da Tomasso was perfect, and the menu had something for everyone from 'tween on up.

My friend and I made a very last minute reservation at Da Tommaso an hour and 15 minutes before our theatre performance began. Our waiter was extremely accommodating and took our order quickly. We shared a Caesar salad, which was delicious. We ordered two specials. Both the veal and the chicken with sausage were excellent. We even had time for coffee. We arrived at the theatre with time to read our programs!
