local favorite, this BYOB restaurant is a nice choice for an intimate date or casual dining. The restaurant serves a special four-course tasting menu for dinner, between Tuesday and Thursdays (4:30 - 9 pm). Da Soli also boasts an upstairs loft (hosts 35 people) that can be reserved for private events such as wedding receptions.
The meal started with a basket of sliced white fake Italian bread and it was very stale. Like it had been sliced at 8 in the morning and sat out all day. The food was nothing to write home about — I can't even remember what I had and it's been less than a week. I do remember the mussels appetizer because the sauce was very good, but the mussels themselves were old and fishy. Probably won't be going back.
Amazing service, AMAZING FOOD!!!! The upstairs area was amazing and perfect for my boyfriend and I.
My wife and I both enjoyed our dinner at Da Soli. The appetizer of spicy chicken sausage with crispy ricotta, figs and balsamic reduction was excellent. We had the chicken Romano and Flounder oreganato and both were very good. A nice alternative to our usual Italian spot.
Our seating was right on time even though it was very busy, food was excellent and so was the service. I am looking forward to a return visit to Da Soli.
The food was really good. Not really impressed with the location being inside an office complex. With regards to wait staff it was terrible. The woman seemed so confused and was very inattentive to our needs. Not one that i would put on the list for a return visit
First time visit. $60 for 2 salads & 2 main dishes. Very good start. Potentially a haddonfield gem but will need to go back again.
Overall an ok experience. One waitress for multiple tables resulted in a below average experience. Main dish was good but salad was not.
What a hidden gem in the little mall in the middle of Haddonfield. Fabulous food! Our favorites were the Artichokes A La Romano and Seared tuna with shitake mushrooms over pappardelle . Charming atmosphere, rustic but upscale. A real winner! We'll be back often!
Went for the first night of Restaurant Week. Food was FANTASTIC. My Husband and I got different things so we could share. We will go back again.
The food was amazing! We were seated near the door and it was a little cold in the restaurant.
A larger party came in after us and we couldn't hear each other after that. Luckily they came in when we were just about finished.
Our waitress was very attentive.
Not just a typical Italian restaurant.
Our meals were delicious. Service was enthusiastic, if a bit harried. Seated in the corner, maybe they did not get around enough to refill my water glass. Very noisy atmosphere. Next time I will ask to be seated upstairs and see if that's any quieter. I will definitely return for the food and reasonable prices.
The food and waitress was fantastic! The food delivery was extremely slow though. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we did not leave until 11 because the food took so long to come out. It was a party of eight, but still seemed to be too slow. This was our second time with a party of eight and our first experience was more like two hours which is what we expected.
They are not pretentious, the food is as good as you will get in any italian restaurant that won't break the bank. Never disappointed in the food I eat here. Friendly staff. The atmosphere and setting are not why you eat here. Its about the food and they do a great job.
Dining with friends on Saturday night of Valentines Day weekend. The food was fabulous and the service wonderful! We had an 8:00 reservation, were seated on time, and we were not rushed. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Service not good tonight. Server overwhelmed with to many tables. The kitchen was so slow. Entrees took 2 hours to come out.
One entree was too spicy to eat. The 2nd entree had only 2 shrimp and the veal looked like ground beef patty.
The ice cream was old and tastelessness, The berry ice cream was very hard, had to chop away at the ice cream to it break apart. I should have returned the dessert. We did not even receive a comp to make up for the horrible meal.
Server was very attentive.
Overall the food was good. The server suggested chicken sausage with figs but it was terrible. It was like cardboard with balsamic glaze and a few figs. I was so excited to try it but very disappointed. I told the server who just looked at me when I told her to please take it back that we did not care for it. (All 3 of us did not like it.) Server never offered to bring anything else and did not take it off the bill. We really enjoyed the short rib flatbread and supli (risotto balls). The salads were very good but small. Entrees were good especially the pasta with shrimp.
Service was just ok at best. We had to ask 3 times to get additional bread and people clearing the table never smiled once.
Short ribs overdone, dry, salty and chewy. Husband's meal salty and over cooked too.
The service was a little slow. It took a while for our food to come out. When our food did come out it was delicious!!
This was our second visit but was a bit disappointed that there was so much time in between our appetizers and our entrees. Food was delicious but my Veal SanMarco had hardly any veal in it and my husband had the same complaint about his entree the Fruite de mar.
The hostess was very kind in helping me rescheduling our arrival time as our friends were driving from a distance and would not be able to get to the restaurant for our reservation in time. Our server was great too.
We will be back. Overall it was a lovely evening.
Appetizers were good. Gnudi was ok but the short ribs were a bit dry and very salty. Dinner moved very slow as a large party seemed to slow everything down.
I love Da Solinfor it's fantastic and delicious food and vibrant atmosphere. I've been there many times and have always had a great mean and experience.
I love the food here. The pasta is to die for!! Always have a great experience, but the cheesecake we got wasn't very good. I would expect it to be much better at this restaurant. Other than that, it was great!
Food was delicious but service was incredibly slow. Dinner took over 3 hours.
We went last week Friday, December 3 and had a great dinner. Service was also excellent. The only complaint is that the space is way too loud. Had a hard time talking to our companions. They need to find a way to absorb the noise. Otherwise all was wonderful.
The food here is amazing. You will be hard pressed to find better Italian food anywhere. You may find different food but rarely will view find better food. The tuna was perfectly prepared with the incredible freshly made pappardelle pasta.
The fresh spaghetti was springy, light and flavorfull. Risotto amazing.
The sausage with fig appetizer is incredibly rich with flavor.
I am planning to go back
On a recent visit to try out the new menu, I was very disappointed with the basic meal that I ordered. Veal Limone is a simple classic, but my meal was unflavorful. The veal was tender, but there was no lemon flavor at all. The pasta with the same sauce was starchy and listless. Salt nor pepper were provided on the tables. Even a request for hot pepper flakes couldn't save this meal.
The room is small and my chair was constantly being knocked into by the wait staff. Not a very relaxing atmosphere.
Server was friendly. Service was fast. Food was good but they couldn't get the filet medallions right. Something was off about the taste. So they offered us free desserts.
The food was great, however next time we will go on a weekday when the noise level will probably be less and service better.
The food is absolutely amazing restaurant! The PERFECT BYOB restaurant (& location)
From start to finish. Appetizers to the desert (not to exclude the home made brandy!)
The Boneless Beef Short Ribs and the Gluten Free Roasted Pepper Gnocchi are two on my favorites!! Yes! Gluten Free, I had no idea. Definitely wasn't lackin in taste!
Visited the restaurant with myself and three friends we were all so pleased with everything!
Can want to return and add some new favorites my list!
We wanted to find a new place to go for dinner for my wife's birthday. We decided to try Da Soli and were very impressed with the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience. We had a great time and will definitely go back there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something new.
I heard mixed reviews from friends so I finally decided to try it. The food was bland, I added salt to everything and I never add salt.
Another great meal! I've never been disappointed with any of the meals I've had at Da Soli; Been there several times with either my girlfriends or my boyfriend. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the draft I felt on my legs. It was a little chilly and the back door must have been open. Otherwise, dinner was wonderful.
We had a party of eight and all had a great experience. The menu was diverse and appealed to everyone, our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious! We all commented that we will be back to this neighborhood gem!
We went here for the first time for our anniversary. The reviews were really good. We got there and the place was packed! I was really excited and our food came out. I got chicken and my husband got the pork and they were both very overdone and tough. This was the first time I was ever here so I don't know if they had and bad night or what. I was disappointed though.
Finally got a chance to try Da Soli. It was a Friday night and we were a bit skeptical when we arrived at 7 pm and there were only 3 tables taken. We started out with an appetizer of figs and chicken sausage with a balsamic glaze...YUM
I had the Chicken Limone which was delicious and my husband had a fish special that he really enjoyed. We will definitely go back!
This was our 3rd visit to Da Soli. We had very good meals all three times. My fiancé and I both love the local BYOB's. This restaurant will now be on our favorites list!
We were on our way back from DC headed north and decided to stop by Da Soli. First visit there when restuarant opened 4 yrs ago was excellent. However, now the food was poorly prepared. The salmon was over cooked. The seafood pasta was overcooked and gnudi was salty. The apple cake was under cooked and the service was spotty.
The bill ran us $150 for 3 people and were extremely disappointed.
We will certainly not be coming back to this restuarant.
After some high expectations we were totally let down. The service was terrible. We were seated quickly but after that it was all down hill. After being seated we waited well over 20 minutes to even be recognized by anyone, ok but again after that it was down hill again. Our party of 4 were finally served after about one and a half hours. Food was mediocre at best. Not planning on returning.
