Raffaele always delivers - great food, attentive service and a very nice experience
This was the perfect place to take my friend for his last dinner in NYC before moving out of state. He wanted to order one of everything on the menu - the choices were so good he couldn't decide.
The martinis were tasty, the wine divine and the food exceptional. I will be returning again with others before my friend comes back to visit.
I make sure to dine at Da Raffael every visit to NYC. Authentic, incredible service and delicious food.
Amazing Italian restaurant! Wonderful mixed salad to start. The monkfish was simply divine. And the dessert crepes were fantastic. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. It’s definitely worth seeking out!
Unique dishes you are unlikely to find at other Italian restaurants. Like having dinner at a neighborhood place off a small piazza in Roma.
Must go to this restaurant! Raffaele is the sweetest owner and his good is delicious and service is amazing. The ambiance is so cute and intimate and the neighborhood is so cute. Pay him a visit!
The best! Every visit - he never ceases to disappoint!
Wonderful evening - food, service, ambience. We look forward to returning.
We noticed that they were having issues abiding by the NY State mandated covid regulations, including overcrowding and too many non-diners waiting without masks.
Overall this was an incredible experience and so glad we found Da Raffaele. The food was glorious and we loved that the chef/owner was so attentive and present. Our only concern was that there appeared to be far too many people seated inside. It was well above the 25% requirement, and was probably even over 50% occupancy.
Tables are spaced out safely for current Covid restrictions. We were offered mini arancini gratis with our bread, which was a nice surprise. We ordered the stuffed artichoke hearts for appetizer and they were delicious. The pasta was fresh and tasted homemade. Dessert of cannoli was also very authentic and delicious!
One of the chefs was not wearing his mask in the kitchen until I told the owner. This is unsafe and would prevent me from returning to the restaurant.
Loved it. Fabulous food. Chef was very visible and engaging.
Everything was Perfect, From Food To Service 👌🏻 Definitely Recommend 🙌🏻
The most personal of service. A classic Italian restaurant with the chef owner offering his suggestions, his service ,and his only too happy changes to an order to please his clients. A little jewel on First Avenue near the UN.
Great food as always, and good outside dining option.
Excellent, nicely priced food and wine, however, place is a little noisy even when not crowded, and service is a bit haphazard. That said, definitely worth a visit!
Excellent service and food!
Lovely little neighborhood place. Excellent food and service.
Favorite neighborhood restaurant. Outstanding food and service. Go there!!!!!!
Always a great experience!!
Very good Italian food and very pleasant service! Ended up being a bit on the pricey side but still ok for NY standards. Really liked the atmosphere and will definitely go back. Had the duck breast and some tiramisu, both very recommendable.
We always enjoy the great food and friendly service at this establishment. The lamb chops and monk fish are to die for!
Food is amazing, great presentation and great service!
Very nice experience !!
Great food, atmosphere, and service.
The food was excellent but service was very rushed and unattentive
Cozy and affordable place
Da Raffaele is one of my favorites in the area near the United Nations. The menu has a good selection and is authentic Italian. The service is friendly and efficient. The pappardelle ragu is very good. Restaurant is very suitable for a business lunch.
Hidden Gem in NYC. Owned and operated by authentic off the boat Italian who sources his own fresh foods daily and makes the pasta fresh. Price wise for NYC I have yet to find a better value meal for what you get for the price. Service is impeccable and very attentive. Many specials in addition to the regular menu that are all delicious. Ricotta Cheesecake and Pistachio Tartuffo to die for. If you haven’t tried it I strongly recommend and don’t think you can be disappointed.
my wife and I come to New York 3 to 4 times year and I feel this was one of my best dinner , not necessary to go on the Amalfi coast
The place offers a large variety of fresh food. I liked dining here. The employees are always very welcoming, pricing is convenient and the place is always neat.

Excellent food and service! Scungilli Fradiavolo cooking perfect, not many restaurant have anymore. My wife order lasagna Bolognese with besciamel superb better than Bologna.
My wife and I always enjoy whatever we get. Great atmosphere and always nice to see Rafaelle there working hard. He’s such a nice guy!
Old style Italian restaurant and I mean it as a compliment. Quiet, friendly service, excellent food. Will definitely adopt it as a neighborhood spot.
