Da Nico Ristorante - Manhattan Location
Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day’s specials.
During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties.
There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!
Nicest guys, we were running late due to weather and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable
Great restaurant and food for a business meeting and family meal.
Everything was great at the restaurant. And I had told them it was my wife’s birthday, and they really made a special event out of that. It was a great experience!
Food authentic Italian food. The back outside patio is amazing, a must if weather permits.
A very nice place and the staff was quite friendly, even when I spilled a glass of wine! they quickly relocated us and the food soon arrived. and it was great! all in all, a nice night out and will be back as soon as we are back in town!
A gem in Little Italy! Delicious pasta, pizzas, and to-die-for desserts!
this is a great restaurant for the family, we were 10 including 4 kids, and everything was perfect, food is excellent.
Very good food, upstairs ambiance not great but fine.
Absolutely fantastic meal. Started with glasses of wine at the bar and then a great dinner. Burrata with beautiful tomatoes, arugula and roasted red peppers followed by a cesar salad. Topped that off with their seafood pasta special- Whole lobster, 4 u-8 shrimp, dozen clams, dozen mussels, with probably two whole cloves of roasted garlic (whole) and the pasta in a white wine butter sauce.
Service was great-attentive but not smothering and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.
The food was ok. Had so much better the previous evening somewhere else. I had high expectations being in little Italy. The service was fine. Not super friendly but courteous and prompt. The ambiance was really dull. We sat in the back patio and there was no music or anything to bring the ambience up a notch. Value for food was ok.
Sat outside in the courtyard on a beautiful day. Ambience great. Food was excellent! Had shrimp diavolo & husband had veal. Always will go back there when near Mulberry St
Great spot in Little Italy. Love sitting in the outdoor garden.
Staff was so rude, I would never go back, too many other nice places in little Italy.
Was there for my husbands birthday. Beautiful place. Great service and delicious food!
Lovely courtyard in the middle of Little Italy! Amazing pizza!!!
The food was outstanding!
Excellent. Will definitely be back.
Service was slow but festival was going on Food was excellent! Meatballs were delicious as was the chicken parm.
It was a busy night (Feast of San Gennaro), but it's not an excuse for a delayed main courses (it was more than 45 minutes between the appetizers and main). When delivered after asking, they are cold, indicating they were sitting in the kitchen for half hour!
We had just landed in NYC and went straight to Little Italy where the San Gennaro feast was alive and vibrant. After searching “best Italian restaurants in Little Italy”, we came across Da Nico and O...M...G, it lived up to it! The carbonara was to die for (coming from an Italian myself that’s saying a lot). My husband had the penne with the vodka sauce and not out was it rich and creamy but it was seasoned to perfection! Even with the hustle and bustle of the feast activities, the waitstaff was attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be going here again!! Absolutely perfect!
Bustling restaurant with a really nice back garden. Delicious food, fun atmosphere.
The food and service were excellent. We sat in the outdoor patio and it was really nice. I would go back again.
New York is filled with fine restaurants of every variety, but if you want an authentic Little Italy experience nothing beats Da Nicos. Carbonara perfectly prepared. And to be in the area around the Deast of St. gernamo was amazing. Go today!
Fantastic. Gave us complementary bruschetta and zeppolis. The stag was great. Very friendly. Great back patio. Would highly recommend
Great resturant. Friends from Georgia came last year and we ate there insisted on going back this year when they came in to ny for a wedding.
The whole experience was excellent especially the food. Service was excellent as well. Vintage Little Italy.
I thought all was very good, sat outside in the back and felt like I was in Italy .
Cuisine authentique Italienne "Old School" avec service Italien typique aussi!! Leplate signature de pâtes aux fruits de mer est à commander (pour 2). Un beau homard, moules , crevettes et palourdes, très bon.
Olson, our waiter, was extremely personable and attentive to us the entire time at dinner. Possibly the best waiter I’ve ever had in NYC! He deserves a raise!
Best meal I’ve had since Thanksgiving.
I will be back.
We were sightseeing around the World Trade Center area all day and knew we wanted Italian from somewhere in Little Italy. After looking at several reviews, the 3 of us opted for Da Nico.
We were seated in the courtyard area promptly and had nice, ice cold water immediately upon sitting. Our host brought bread and took our drink orders within a few minutes of sitting. The bread was a nice, hearty, crusty Italian bread. When dipped in the olive oil, which was conveniently provided on each table, the bread had the perfect flavor you’d expect from any quality Italian restaurant.
I did peruse the menu for a good 10-15 minutes, before finally deciding on an apple, beet, feta and walnut salad, and a Margherita pizza. Amazing choice, if I do say so myself!
The earthiness of the beets, combined with the tartness of the apples and the saltiness of the feta, made for the perfect balance of flavor in my mouth. Although it was served in a nice sized portion, it left me wanting more when I was finished.
The pizza was about 10” in diameter and had a beautifully crisp and thin crust that was just the right amount of chewy. The sauce was a mild blend of fresh San Marzano tomatoes, salt and herbs and was spread on the pie in just the right amount. The cheese was very tasty too with just a slight hint of saltiness. The basil was fresh, and cut into tasty ribbons. The pizza was cut into 8 yummy wedges and was gone before I knew it 🤭.
This wasn’t the end of my tasty meal though. After I stuffed my face, our server told us that the chef wanted us to have some complimentary zeppoles (Italian donuts covered in powdered sugar). I actually think everyone is provided with “complimentary” zeppoles.
Outstanding service! Excellent food.
Da Nico is our favorite restaurant in Little Italy!
Frankie always welcomes us warmly and we feel a very special atmosphere! The food is fresh and always delicious!
If you’re looking for the ultimate Little Italy experience, go to Da Nico and sit in the courtyard in the back!
Everything here was great. The staff was warm and attentive, and the food was great. The free dessert was a nice gesture too.
Really friendly service, fabulous food and great ambiance! We loved everything about it!!
Great shrimp scampi and great soup. Waiter was great. Looking forward to coming back in December.
Love it there. The outdoor seating is so cozy and love the food!
Service was very good. Food portions were huge, but the Specials were so expensive.
AMAZING service, and super fun and warm staff. Food was just okay though, unfortunately! Lovely ambiance and people and still a good experience overall.
The service was impeccable. From the second you are near their front door. You are greeted instantly and showed to a table straight away. Or if you needed to wait it was only 2 minutes. Everything was DELICIOUS!!!!!! Food came out promptly. Water topped up constantly. The staff were ALLL fantastic. The business owner should be so proud. 👌👌👌👌👌 shame we live in Australia and can’t come back everyday 🤣. Because we would
