Exquisite seasonal food, knowledgeable waiters and a serene setting--a perfect place for a special lunch.
Everything is great!!! Just need to upgrade everything... meaning interior and exterior! The fence got to go! They’ve been there for so long just need new design/decors... In order to attract new & younger crowds.
P.S. They can also lower their prices down a lil bit.
Fabulous menu and excellent cuisine. Decor was very tasteful and sophisticated. Waitstaff were very knowledgeable and prompt.
Great food. Good service. They had a long list of off the menu specials that the waiter went through too quickly. The description of the specials could have been better. Tables are close together so you hear the people at the next table. All the staff were very nice.
Quiet, intimate, Exquisite, delicious... Perfect place for lunch
The best food in Houston--however, it is priced to match! Worth it every time, especially if the specials are good, which they nearly always are.
Best restaurant in Houston!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary in a quiet corner table — late night fantastic. Will be back again soon.
I hadn’t been here in 15 years and it was 15 years too long. To this day, I think they have the most authentic Italian food in Houston. They also sell bottles of their olive oil that comes from Sicily. I have several reasons to come back soon.
The best of the best!
Our favorite restaurant in all of Houston. The truffles are to die for.
Very disappointing! First of all the table that they put us at was right in the middle of the walkway so all night waiters were right over our heads. I ordered the tomatoes and burrata salad which was not very good and ordered the Dover sole which I usually love but it tasted fishy...did not seem fresh. My husband had a special, blue crab ravioli and he was ill that night. Needless to say I would not recommend it.
We have saved this restaurant as “our” place to celebrate our anniversary. The food, service and ambiance are exemplary.
No full bar! That is important to know. Only beer and wine, no liquor or cocktails. We didn't know that going in. Not a huge deal though. Food and service were absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend.
Fabulous place. Just wish the delicious wines were not so expensive. The truffle risotto is well worth the $.
Great place for Valentines Day. Delicious food and amazing service. Nice space for special occasions too.
DaMarcos is my favorite restaurant in Houston! To top it of, I am a native Houstonian going on 55 years.
This was our second time at Da Marco. The food is always excellent and the wait staff is very professional. Unfortunately, this time the restaurant placed my wife and I next to a table of ~15 men. It was incredibly loud and we couldn't hear each other for most of the evening. If the restaurant is going to entertain parties of that size, they need to be in a separate area of the restaurant so as not to ruin the ambiance for the rest of the patrons.
My experience was diminished by Open Table accusing me of missing My reservation . Might want to reserve directly to avoid the hassle.
Outstanding! Service and dining great. Has a superb Anniversary celebration with a memorable evening
Great place to eat, food fantastic, service is excellent. The wine list is extensive, albeit quite pricey.
Service was attentive but not polished. Lots of clattering silverware for example. Lots of movement. Lots of popping in briefly and seeming like there were always other things needing attention elsewhere. It felt like the service was trying to show how good the service is rather than simply being good.
This was our first time for lunch at Da Marco. There were many choices, including daily specials, that were available for their fixed price Businessman Lunch. Each dish was delicious and beautifully served. The wine was excellent. We will go back for lunch, as well as dinner!
Consistently excellent. It's the best Italian restaurant in Houston
The food was g
We sat at the worst table in the restaurant, right next to a waiters’ station, where they all congregated without any regard to us. Our food was good, but both my husband and I were disappointed with the linguini alla olio with Argentinian shrimp. It came with a ton of cherry tomatoes and no olive oil. The linguini and shrimp were delicious, but the addition of all those tomatoes ruined the dish for us.
Outstanding! Year after year, DaMarco continues to be among Houston’s finest restaurants, in my opinion. Dining here is very similar to dining in Italy: the finest ingredients prepared simply. I had the Dungeness crab antipasto with white asparagus and favs beans. Excellent! My husband’s antipasto was burrata with arugula and fresh tomatoes. Entrees were veal and risotto and spaghetti with sea urchin and crab with chilies. Perfection!
I’ve seen several bad reviews on here & I’m really shaking my head. You must literally have no palate to dislike this place. Tonight the crudo & burrata were exceptional. The braised short-rib & burrata risotto was superb. The wait staff was also excellent tonight. It’s expensive, but it’s good to splurge sometimes. I will be back.
su pasta y rissotto con trufas negras es deliciosoooooo
It always consistently delicious and the service is impeccable
Wonderful food and great attention from staff.
Always our favorite restaurant for business/ casual/ fancy— all the above! Thank you!
We were tremendously rushed by an uncivil waiter who ruined our experience!!
We love love love the pastas!!!
Everything is just first class. Best service in town, great food, gentle atmosphere.
New Years Eve
We've gone to DaMarco now on four or five occasions. We've always had good to great food, and this time was no exception. However, the excellence of the food could not make up for the rudeness and incompetence of our waiter, Steven.
It's possible he was drunk. He explicitly told us, two or three times during the meal, that he was NOT drunk--but why did he feel the need to keep repeating that fact? Anyway, he was incredibly rude. He seemed to fancy himself a kind of wine expert. When we declined to ask for his help in choosing, he seemed upset--even offended. Throughout the rest of the meal he made a number of snide comments directed toward the person who had chosen the wine. Their gist was that what we were fools, who had made a grave mistake in trying to chose the wine on our own, without his expert advice. All this despite the fact that he in fact knew much less about wine than he imagined he did. (When he brought us our bottle, a Barbera, he referred to it as a 'nebbiolo from the Piedmont.' Except that Barbera is NOT made with nebbiolo grapes, but with Barbera grapes. If you are going to be patronizing, Stephen, at least don't be ignorant.)
I won't go on to list all the various ways he was unpleasant; we were all four of us celebrating for the holidays and we made an effort not to let his demeanor affect us. However, I doubt I'll be returning to Da Marco anytime soon. If I do, I'll insist that Stephen not be my waiter.
Great meal. My go to Italian when in Houston.
I had been here many times, always enjoyed all the dishes. Excellent lunch, food is always great. Service is ok, unpersonable.
