Spot on Italian food in a comfy, spacious atmosphere with impeccable service. Their homemade pasta specialties are delicious as well as the desserts and complimentary Italian bread. A must try in Fidi!
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant; always count on good solid food!
Dinner with a friend.. nice outside seating .. food and service were good
The service that we received was top-notch. QUALITY! All of the staff were polite, attentive and went out of their way to be sure everything flowed smoothly from sitting-down to walking out the door. We haven’t experienced such a level of service in a long time! Food was fresh, piping hot and delicious. We enjoyed everything but are still talking about the Buratta with pistachios and roasted peaches. (!!) Restaurant was a great atmosphere, very clean, nice lighting, perfect volume for background music. We were in NYC for four days and this was BY FAR our favorite dining experience. So happy that we went!
Excellent pasta - fresh and cooked perfectly. Will definitely dine again.
Great! Accommodated is at closing without issue. Perfect service at the bar. Food is top notch.
Delicious food and very caring and personalized service.
Terrific meal from start to finish. Staff and management make the difference here though the kitchen delivers with solid and updated Italian classics. Limited but good value to be found on the wine list. Definitely recommend and I’ll be back.
The food was OK but not outstanding. The Ceasar salad was sub-par which is unacceptable for an Italian restaurant. Very limited selections for the main course which my be an effect of the pandemic but not going to help them recover business.
Overall great experience. Food and service were great. The wait staff worked together to get everything done. We did not feel rushed. We ate outside since it was a beautiful night and it was fine. Desserts were great - and larger than we expected (not a bad thing - just keep that in mind). House Red Wine was very good.
Food, Negroni and Wine are excellent as usual. It’s great this restaurant keeps good quality throughout difficult time.
One thing I appreciate about Da Claudio, and some other restaurants, is the ability to pay through a QR code. On this occasion, however, the software (Toast) wasn’t working properly, and wouldn’t let my charge go through until I removed the tip. I finally paid the check through the app and left the tip in cash.
We sat outside, so noise was not within the restaurant’s control. Service was slow but friendly. The kitchen was slow, period. Not sure why, they weren’t all that busy.
I had cacio e pepe, which is my Italian restaurant test dish. Theirs was solid, not exceptional. Everything else was very good, and the olive oil served with the bread is delightfully fruity. Portions are large.
As usual, the food and service were impeccable! Claudio, the owner was there and was his usual gracious self. Raul, the bartender, makes a mean martini!
Las raciones pequeñas, y el sabor de la comida muy básico
Great food. Great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was incredible and the staff was friendly and hospitable, one of the best meals I've ever had.
The service was great, very friendly and welcoming. The food was good.
Lovely modern Italian in the heart of the Financial District. We were greeted warmly on arrival and seated at a very comfortable corner table towards the back, where we had a partial view of the busy kitchen. Staff was welcoming and attentive, checking in often to see that we were happy throughout the meal. Excellent Caesar salad was followed by a pasta bolognese made with wagyu beef--deep, rich and out of this world. All was accompanied by marvelous fresh bread and a bright olive oil. It's rare when the details are all perfect--a great find! Recommend highly.
So happy Claudio and Linda had reopened after Barazini and had to see they had a chance to take a break and visit Italy this summer! This was our first visit.
Overall the food was fresh and tasty. The octopus sadly was not charred but simply grilled. The combo with potatoes, tapanade and capers gave good flavor. Pasta with lamb ragu was tasty, though minced lamb cut differently (shred perhaps) would have been better. Caesar salad was tasty with parmesan chips as a nice touch. Price point too high at $15. Salad though was enough to share and a tad too much dressing
Service was uneven as single server for all tables with one in training. All fixable though, as finished app plates remaining on table, no offer for parm cheese etc. Leonardo bus boy was fantastic.
Got to support C+ L post covid and will give it another shot.:)
This place is a gem! The staff are friendly, engaging and attentive without being overbearing. The food was outstanding and came out at an excellent pace. Apps, entree, dessert, drinks - excellent!!! We are outside so the noise was NYC. Inside I bet was as wonderful as the service. While we were outside we could hear the staff engaging with their neighbors which made the experience even better. If you haven’t been - go!
The food and drink are fantastic. The service couldn’t be better. Second time to visit this place. Lots of outdoor dining. The one multi seafood dish is world class.
Food delicious, as always. My mother and son friends from the Philippines joined my at an outside table. The service was attentive and warm-hearted. This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Lovely and attentive service and consistently excellent food
Excellent food and ambiance. Staff were friendly and restaurant was clean.
Great food, excellent customer service.
Loved the decor and the indoor seating arrangement was very good as it still gave each table the much needed space in these times of pandemic related dining experiences.
The service was very good, attentive and prompt. Food was wonderful, tasty, fresh and just exact in flavor. Cocktails were lovely too.
Enjoyed the experience and will definitely add this to my regular restaurants i would visit in the neighborhood.
Two thumbs up!!
Da Claudio is definitely a place I will schedule more of our corporate dinners when we are in town. Lovely atmosphere, amazing service (really, really amazing), terrific food. They took care of all 9 of us in spectacular form. All 9 of us really enjoyed our meals!!
Thank you so much for making our first dinner in NYC a great one!
We were in town fir the Van Gogh exhibit and stayed at the Millenium. This had good reviews and was close to the hotel. It did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated. The service was phenomenal. I had the Waygu Bolognese and my boyfriend had Rigatoni Amatriciana. His son and daughter-in-law met us there and he had the Spinach Fettucini. We started off with a watermelon burrata salad and a frito misto. All superb. They have a wonderful wine list and lovely desserts.
Great fun and friendly restaurant! Great service and food. Would definitely dine here again.
My absolute Favorite Italian restaurant in NYC! Claudio, Linda and staff make sure you have an excellent experience.
Da Claudio Ristorante was a wonderful spot for a nice and charming dinner. If you’re looking for a basic pasta dish, you won’t find it here however. With a spicy Black Linguine and seafood medley dishes and pasta rings, the menu items were different than most anywhere I’ve been. A modern, but classy interior mixed with fantastic service of great food made for a wonderful night out.
Honestly, this place has really gone downhill post pandemic. Food was bland, service was terrible. I used to love this place, and now I’m never coming back. Save yourself and pick a different place. We left very unsatisfied.
I love eating here. My friends and I always have such a wonderful experience.
Dominick and his crew at Da Claudio go out of their way to ensure a quality meal and impeccable service. Since I work in the area, Da Claudio has become my go to spot for entertaining clients, office staff and friends. The wine list is expanding and the prices are reasonable. The pasta dishes are prepared to perfection and the chicken Milanese is one of my favorites. They have set up a decent outdoor "patio" right on Ann Street that is closed off to vehicular traffic in the evening.
I highly recommend Da Claudio as a neighborhood spot for those who work or live in the Wall Street area and for visitors who are looking for an excellent, reasonably priced Italian meal.
Our first visit...we weren't disappointed. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious(the grilled octopus app was off the charts). Da Claudio's will be on our restaurant rotation in NYC.
Great food options for meat and veggie lovers. Attentive service.
Great food, good service, ambiance. Prices are relatively reasonable.
In NYC for my second business trip post-COVID and stopped in to Da Claudio. Highly recommend! I had the Pasta with Wagyu Bolognaise - really delicious. My only problem was that I would have loved to try multiple pastas and I could only eat so much! This is a place I would seek out if in that area of NYC again. Also super friendly and attentive service. Go check it out.
