Beautiful restaurant with a great ambiance. The staff was so nice and the food was delicious. We had a great time here and felt safe to eat indoors despite covid.
The food was outstanding... we both had pasta.. the artichoke appetizer was delicious as was the bruschetta. The service was excellent and friendly. We will DEFINATELY be back!
Went here for our anniversary and the food was AMAZING! We got the Cacio E Pepe Bucatini and the Bolognese and we're still talking about it - the waiters were cleaning our table in between each course and the manager was super funny. Highly recommmend the burrata and the drinks were spectacular!
The owner is always kind and welcoming!
His staff always go out of their way to make us feel at home!
Excellent food every single time!
This was one of our favorite go-to Italian spots in the city before Covid and even after everything that has gone on this year in the city, their excellent service, and quality has remained unwaivered. Their pastas are as fresh and homemade as ever, their sauces are out this world and their meats are cooked perfectly. With safety precautions in mind, our dining experience was perfect and we would happily return and recommend them to anyone looking for a fresh delicious Italian meal.
Great the outdoor seating was not that great and comfortable.
Loveley loveley time there...
Da Claudio was one of the most memorable and enjoyable dining experiences I've ever had. The entire staff was attentive and helpful and the food was just incredible. Run here, sit outside and enjoy!
Great waitress- so nice and patient with our table!!
Will definitely be coming back here! Food was delicious and service was excellent. The street was also blocked off for outdoor dining so no traffic noise.
Great experience and food
On Friday evenings, and all day Saturday and Sunday, Ann Street is blocked off for the convenience of Da Claudio patrons. That makes it a more pleasant experience than when cars are going by almost next to your table.
I also like that on the bill, Da Claudio has a QR code that allows you to pay (including specifying your tip) with your phone, so you don’t need a server to take away and come back with your credit card; you just pay with your phone and leave when you’re ready.
Perfect place for a delicious dinner and exceptional service!
Da Claudio has their outdoor seating mostly set up in former parking spaces on the other side of Ann Street from the restaurant. It’s a good alternative for those who live in the area of City Hall where Beekman Pub, Augustine or Temple Court are no longer available. One advantage of Da Claudio’s location is that because Ann Street is a narrow street with multiple-story buildings close by on both sides, you can count on having shade in the summertime without worrying about what direction the sun is coming from. That will unfortunately turn into a disadvantage once the weather cools down.
Downtown gem. I usually go with a pasta for dinner but this time went with steak. Wow...peppercorn sauce with steak put it over the top.
We could not have been happier. Food delicious. Service cheerful and attentive. Atmosphere festive. Effort A++ in these difficult times. Thank you Claudia, Linda and your lovely wait staff. :)
The staff is always very welcoming, warm, and friendly. The food is even better! A truly authentic Italian experience!
Da Claudio normally doesn’t have outdoor dining, but they have a few tables and chairs on the sidewalk plus have taken over some parking space across Ann Street for an outdoor seating area. Not the best ambiance, but it works.
Great meal. A waitstaff that’s welcoming and provides guidance on the menu. Convenient location. Delicious food. What more could you ask for?
Neighborhood gem! Staff is excellent!! Highly recommended.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Staff was great.
The restaurant was terrific. A perfect place for a quiet dining experience. We were there for over 2 hours, not rushed, and enjoyed every course. The service was excellent, and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about wines - We selected one from the RAVA vineyard. Excellent! We had the special burrata appetizer and the outstanding risotto special, made with farro ( I think?). Anyway, tasted lovely.
All in all, wonderful.
I liked it a lot overall. The location was great for us. The ambience was a little dark.. resto perhaps a little too large. Decor needed a purpose. Food was really good. Service was A+. Wine which was recommended was amazing!
This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.
Service was nonexistent. Food was overpriced. It’s like no one cared that we’re were there.
Meat and cheese board was so-so. The pasta dishes are INCREDIBLE. We had the fusilli and the gnocchi and they were out of this world.
Tasty food and generous portions. I usually go here for business lunches because you will always get great service. Def didn't disappoint.
Really good food on both the classics and creative fare front, great staff, wheelchair accessible, elegant but not too much. A perfect place for a celebratory meal or meeting an old friend.
Both dishes we had at Da Claudio were amazing - the rosemary pappardelle and the lasagna. We went for our anniversary and were treated to a fantastic tiramisu and sweet chocolate anniversary note as well. Thank you Da Claudio!
Fantastic meal! We even met a new friend, a single diner sitting next to us! Great experience. We started with the crispy baby artichoke hearts with spicy breadcrumbs. My wife had the scallopini with roasted vegetables and I had the calamarata, a seafood medley and lobster sauce. No room for dessert; the portions were huge! Everything prepared and seasoned expertly!
Nice vibe and cocktails were great!!! Food very good. Even bread basket lovely.
We love Da Claudio! The food is amazing! The service is exemplary and the atmosphere in modern yet inviting. It is our go-to restaurant!
We live close by and our friends recommended Da Claudio. It was crowded on a cold S
We love this place! The food is always excellent as is the service. Perfect place for bringing family whose visiting, going on a date or even bringing a client. Never over crowded but never awkwardly empty. Always a 5 star experience here!!!
Always a pleasure. Homey. Friendly and great food. A family tradition
Great service, delicious food and cocktails. Good gluten free options too!
Excellent food and service!
Da Claudio is a solid choice if your are looking for a good Italian restaurant in lower Manhattan. It's convenient if you are visiting the 911 Memorial Museum (about 6 minute walk). The food is reasonably priced and well prepared. Portions were about right. The chef was able to accommodate a special, off-menu order and prepare it well, which is always a good sign. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgable. Service was about the right speed; neither rushed nor slow. The decor is modern and fairly minimalist, maybe a bit casual for some (e.g., bare table tops) but still attractive and inviting. Importantly, sound baffling added to the ceiling keeps the noise level down, allowing conversation at a reasonable volume (a big problem in many restaurants). Overall, I recommend Da Claudio.
Love, love, love...Excellent service, food and ambiance, oh and wine and dessert. Highly recommend.
Great food quick service. Lasagna and gnocchi was to die for.
