D Bar Denver
Drinks: We have an excellent wine, beer and D Bar concoctions menu that suits all price ranges and occasions. We even have a wine made just for us called Mr. Cupcake by award winning wine maker, Charles Smith!! Time for some after work fun? Join us for Nibbles and Sips Happy Hour!
Dining: D Bar isn’t based on one particular "type" of dining. As chefs, we pull from what we personally enjoy eating. Thus, our menu is based on our childhood favorites, inspiration from travels, and simply just "things we like to eat"!
Dessert: Our passion and background is pastry! We have designed D Bar with a unique dessert bar! It's the best seating in the house as you watch pastry chefs create beautiful plated desserts right before your eyes!
Another great experience at D Bar. The service was outstanding. The food was nicely presented and tasted great. The only disappointment was being out of the olive oil cake dessert. However, D Bar always has plenty of other options.
It was crazy loud due to a large party. Wish we could have been somewhat distant from the large group. Everything else was delightful. We will certainly be back.
Great spot in Denver...a GO-TO stop for sure especially if you're a foodie!
Always consistently good and creative. Desserts are not to be missed!
A friend’s birthday. We treat each other each year, once for my birthday and once for hers. Food is always good, desserts wonderful!
Oh where do I begin? Our server was Jason and he suggested the price fix with s'mores and it was out of this world phenomenal!!! The best dessert place in Denver...heck maybe the country! My chocolate souflet was cooked perfectly and the Graham cracker ice cream was terrific! You must immediately stop reading this review and go there NOW!!! and it's in a fun neighborhood!
Food was good but it took close to 45 minutes to get my salad served...mind you...no meat, just a salad. We were not served until we asked what the problem was. We were then served, it was as if the food had bee n just sitting there. Anyway the food was still good and we enjoyed sitting outside!!
Food was very good; however, noise level can get high, while servers need to speak up and watch the attitude.
Awesome from start to finish! Appetizers were great (try the bacon wrapped dates!). My friend and I had avocado salads with chicken and shrimp and WOW! Never been blown away by a salad before. No surprise the desserts were fantastic too. We had the confetti cake, so good! Drinks, burger, and sliders were about average. Server was very nice and restaurant was surprisingly quiet and not crowded for a Saturday night. Pretty pricey but the experience left all of us with great impressions and plans to return.
Service was slow. I took 5 minutes for a server to show up ager we were seated. After our meal we ordered dessert. That took almost 35 minutes to be served - entirely too long. We noticed that our server was also bartending, so my guess is they were short on staff. Not fair to the bartender, but even more not fair to the paying customer - me. Three of us ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. Presentation was good, but the waffle that acted as bread for the sandwich just wasn't right. Too thick and doughy. The chicken filet was good. I ended up eating the filet and leaving most of the waffle. Frankly, they should just stick with traditional chicken and waffles and not try a cute spin. Mac and cheese was the best plate we had. Sweet potato fries were good. The biggest disappointment was the two desserts. Besides taking entirely too long to server them, they were just OK. Price was very reasonable - with desserts being the most expensive (around $12 apiece). Doubt I will return.
Please stop seating people right next to each other when the restaurant Is practically empty. There’s no reason for me to hear someone else’s full conversations because we’re sitting so close to each other when it’s not busy! Very disappointed!
The best seasonal deserts in the country. Stop by every time I am in Denver.
Never a disappointment! Food is consistently great (no matter what we order), the service is second to none and the ambience is refreshing! Love this place. Hands down, best restaurant in Denver! And always, ALWAYS save room for dessert!
For casual dining, D Bar Denver is delightful. Our server was humorous, cordial, and helpful. The food was fine and a real deal at Happy Hour prices. The ambience is cheerful and welcoming. Really nice place.
Overall it is a good placed, very loud inside, not even full. Didn't get to try the desserts, so maybe I missed the best part of Dbar.
Unfortunately, we received terrible service with one of our entrees arriving after the other one was already delivered and finished. Our server never came to check on us and I had to ask someone else for help. We were still charged for the very late food and our water glasses were empty most of the meal. Despite that, the food was delicious and the dessert was top notch. I could do without the TV in the bar area, but I'm not a sports fan. Too bad because this was a birthday dinner and left a poor impression. We may try again, but I will be weary of good service.
We had excellent food, and after a slow start, great service. Our drinks took awhile, I suspect because the bar was slammed. Indoors was very noisy, but we ate outdoors where the noise level was low, and because it was shaded very, very comfortable. Both the sliders and the risotto were excellent, and our thanks to Andrew, our server!
Such great happy hour
We drove two and a half hours for dinner here and a concert afterward. The D Bar was a good experience, but it was insanely loud on a Friday night. The food was amazing, especially the dessert sampler. We ordered the Dressed Avocado, Quinoa Salad, Sliders, Parmesan Fries and the Dessert Sampler with Gluten-free Molten Lava Cake with Pistachio Ice Cream and Raspberry Sauce. Everything was delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. They were a bit too aggressive about clearing plates of food we hadn’t yet finished. They attempted to take our Parmesan fries twice when the bowl was still 1/2 full. Never remove pricey, delicious food from an overweight woman. The restaurant was incredibly popular and extremely loud. The party of three next to us drank too much and cursed non-stop throughout the meal. This was absolutely not the staff at D Bars fault. However, be prepared for drunken, rowdy patrons because the drinks looked as fabulous as the desserts. The hostess was incredibly generous about pushing our reservation back one hour because of traffic getting into Denver. We were grateful for their patience and kindness. Overall the D Bar is a must visit experience, but perhaps not during the weekend.
We had a great time here. We were in Denver for daughter’s wedding. The desserts are amazing! Chef Keegan Gerhard came to our table, chatted, and posed for pictures! Would visit again in a heartbeat.
Excellent appetizers, average mains. Desserts were good but overpriced
Took an hour for them to serve us a salad (no protein, just lettuce and avocado), avocado toast and 2 eggs...they served my boyfriend's food before mine b/c we were in such a rush, he had to leave before I was even served and they didn't offer to comp our food when my boyfriend had to get the car because we were running so late
Great service and a great menu. Will definitely be back!
Waited 15 mins before anyone noticed we were sitting waiting for order/drinks.
Simply amazing. We arrived at the tail end of happy hour and ordered a multitude of amazing appetizers, drinks, and ended on the server recommended Razzle Dazzle. It was such a great night, and we have never had a bad time there:)
This was the first time that I had excellent service. I would go back because she was so good. Previously I was questioning if I would go back.
A good anniversary dinner
Answer really is maybe. Noted in reservation that this was a special occasion, but felt like no effort was made to make it feel special. Why bother asking if you don’t intend to do anything about it. Seated at tiny table wedged next to a pillar. Waiter was ok. Food was ok, but overpriced. My Manhattan was very good. Was not rushed out the door when done, which was also good
Why would you go anywhere else for dessert in Denver?
One of our favorite restaurants for a special occasion!
We got there earlier than our reservation and they accommodated our party well. The service and food was all lovely.
There credit card machine went down and the waiter didn’t explain it completely embarrassing when the manager came out and said that it was their machine finally after it kept declining our cards. The waiter should have explained and it would have been a better experience!
Love your happy hour. Food is amazing...and the American Dream cake is the best!
This was my third visit to d Bar and you excel every time!
The food was really good bar food, but the dessert is to die for!!
Colin and Keegan were amazing. We were even early and they accommodated our reservation!!
Great brunch, excellent service, delicious food
Coming in for dessert and ran into friends. Restaurant was very accommodating and help out us together. Dessert was awesome, as always!
Happy hour worked for me dining early tonight at D Bar. Small plate avocado salad and they even added grilled shrimp to it for me. Perfect size for a meal, nice wine, friendly service and customers, met the owner in passing, and finished with a molten chocolate dessert! Fun place to find while visiting from out of town. May go back another day for a cookie ❤️
Welcoming staff and most excellent food and desserts.
Amazing, as always. The American Dream will never let you down.
