D Bar Denver
Drinks: We have an excellent wine, beer and D Bar concoctions menu that suits all price ranges and occasions. We even have a wine made just for us called Mr. Cupcake by award winning wine maker, Charles Smith!! Time for some after work fun? Join us for Nibbles and Sips Happy Hour!
Dining: D Bar isn’t based on one particular "type" of dining. As chefs, we pull from what we personally enjoy eating. Thus, our menu is based on our childhood favorites, inspiration from travels, and simply just "things we like to eat"!
Dessert: Our passion and background is pastry! We have designed D Bar with a unique dessert bar! It's the best seating in the house as you watch pastry chefs create beautiful plated desserts right before your eyes!
Slooow service. Never got asked for drink refills or if I needed anything after we got our meal. Took super long to get our drinks and meals.
The noise in the restaurant was so loud that it was difficult to carry a conversation or even order. The server first approached us and said they might be serving real food anymore. We had a reservation for 8:45pm and came from the Springs, nowhere did it say they stop serving real food at a certain time. I explained that and he went to heck. They let us order, but we had to rush and hadn’t even ordered drinks yet. Then he got the order wrong. He brought too many orders. He forgot completely about my daughters’s coke float and when I reminded him, he brought a root beer float instead. Which the menu said was $7 and we were charged $8.50 for it. She just drank it because it was nearly impossible to get his attention. He didn’t seem apologetic or to care. I still tipped 15% because I’m a decent person, but he definitely didn’t earn it. The prices are very high. I got a lobster roll, which was yummy, but put me back almost $25. My glass of house Cabernet was $14. The desserts were good but not amazing and the prices on those are very expensive too. I would rather go to a nicer place for the price, with better service.
As always, the food was amazing with the exception of a couple components missing from my lox au croissant but everyone else got what they ordered. The service, however, was slow. We were in the middle of the restaurant but it felt like we were tucked away and forgotten. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but that had never happened to us before, being forgotten like that.
Fabulous food that offers variety and distinct flavor profiles! Inviting and friendly food!!
Great for Brunch
Great location, specially for a Funday-Sunday brunch. Food is light, interesting, good variety and delicious. I expect more desserts options from the D-Bar.
Martin was an incredible and attentive waiter. Always great food and drinks.
Waited 1hr and they never took our order. Terrible service.
The menu was broad to fulfill all our needs and the food was amazing. Waitstaff was nice but busy and the food took a long time to come out. All and all a very wonderful meal. Not to mention dessert!
The service was friendly and perfectly timed to our needs. The food was amazing and I wish I had the ability to try each dish served. We will be going back soon.
great atmosphere and friendly service. i was greeted with a smile by all servers and workers. very spacious, came in early to my reservation and was seated almost immediately. our waiter was very attentive and understanding. amazing unique food, both presentation and flavor. 10/10 will return.
Great ambience, very high quality food, and service was outstanding.
The desert is just amazing. We had the tasting plate and will be going back.
The service was incredible. It’s definitely the place to go for desserts. Thought the level of noise was too high.
Love D Bar! This particular experience we weren't acknowledged for quite some time, but once a server noticed she was great. Their cake and shake is unreal.
Great full page dessert menu that made the experience special. They do need to get a real steak in the menu though
My sister, boyfriend and I had so much fun! Food was amazing, wait staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back soon :)
This place never disappoints. They did just raise their prices but I still love the pizza salad sandwich.
Poor service and salty food.
Not the place for an intimate evening and be prepared for tea party sized portions.
Loved the food & atmosphere. The staff went out of their way for us making our dinner extra special!
One of my favor places to dine. Took a friend that has never been. Food was good (like usual). However, took longer than expected, specifically dessert. Our server was not attentive either.
Service was AMAZING, food was outstanding. Super fun place to brunch!!!!
Soo.....here's the thing. I LOVE the food at D bar. Blown away every time. BUT I was so disappointed with this visit. I specifically said in my reservation this was a very special night. It was my fiance''s birthday, we had gotten engaged a week before and we are both teachers working summer jobs and trying to have a nice night out. It was SO loud where we sat, took 10 minutes to have someone bring us water, they forgot to put in y fiance's drink order and our food and had to come back to put it in again. I watched 4 different people be celebrated (in the same way my girlfriend had been the year before) with a sparkler in their dessert and even with being reminded by me and mentioning it several times we didn't get any of that. We waited every step of the way. Got A refill and had to wave her back at one point just to get the water refilled. This was supposed to be a special night that I had thought their would be some kind of recognition for and instead I found myself just wishing we had gone to Steuben's down the street, paid less, heard each other during dinner, and felt like we mattered.
Fabulous. That’s all you need to know. It was fabulous. Unlike your 50 character minimum that I’m now filling in.
Delicious food with a variety of options and good service. Was a little noisy inside.
Another great experience at D Bar. The service was outstanding. The food was nicely presented and tasted great. The only disappointment was being out of the olive oil cake dessert. However, D Bar always has plenty of other options.
It was crazy loud due to a large party. Wish we could have been somewhat distant from the large group. Everything else was delightful. We will certainly be back.
Great spot in Denver...a GO-TO stop for sure especially if you're a foodie!
Always consistently good and creative. Desserts are not to be missed!
A friend’s birthday. We treat each other each year, once for my birthday and once for hers. Food is always good, desserts wonderful!
Oh where do I begin? Our server was Jason and he suggested the price fix with s'mores and it was out of this world phenomenal!!! The best dessert place in Denver...heck maybe the country! My chocolate souflet was cooked perfectly and the Graham cracker ice cream was terrific! You must immediately stop reading this review and go there NOW!!! and it's in a fun neighborhood!
Food was good but it took close to 45 minutes to get my salad served...mind you...no meat, just a salad. We were not served until we asked what the problem was. We were then served, it was as if the food had bee n just sitting there. Anyway the food was still good and we enjoyed sitting outside!!
Food was very good; however, noise level can get high, while servers need to speak up and watch the attitude.
Awesome from start to finish! Appetizers were great (try the bacon wrapped dates!). My friend and I had avocado salads with chicken and shrimp and WOW! Never been blown away by a salad before. No surprise the desserts were fantastic too. We had the confetti cake, so good! Drinks, burger, and sliders were about average. Server was very nice and restaurant was surprisingly quiet and not crowded for a Saturday night. Pretty pricey but the experience left all of us with great impressions and plans to return.
Service was slow. I took 5 minutes for a server to show up ager we were seated. After our meal we ordered dessert. That took almost 35 minutes to be served - entirely too long. We noticed that our server was also bartending, so my guess is they were short on staff. Not fair to the bartender, but even more not fair to the paying customer - me. Three of us ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. Presentation was good, but the waffle that acted as bread for the sandwich just wasn't right. Too thick and doughy. The chicken filet was good. I ended up eating the filet and leaving most of the waffle. Frankly, they should just stick with traditional chicken and waffles and not try a cute spin. Mac and cheese was the best plate we had. Sweet potato fries were good. The biggest disappointment was the two desserts. Besides taking entirely too long to server them, they were just OK. Price was very reasonable - with desserts being the most expensive (around $12 apiece). Doubt I will return.
Please stop seating people right next to each other when the restaurant Is practically empty. There’s no reason for me to hear someone else’s full conversations because we’re sitting so close to each other when it’s not busy! Very disappointed!
The best seasonal deserts in the country. Stop by every time I am in Denver.
Never a disappointment! Food is consistently great (no matter what we order), the service is second to none and the ambience is refreshing! Love this place. Hands down, best restaurant in Denver! And always, ALWAYS save room for dessert!
For casual dining, D Bar Denver is delightful. Our server was humorous, cordial, and helpful. The food was fine and a real deal at Happy Hour prices. The ambience is cheerful and welcoming. Really nice place.
Overall it is a good placed, very loud inside, not even full. Didn't get to try the desserts, so maybe I missed the best part of Dbar.
Unfortunately, we received terrible service with one of our entrees arriving after the other one was already delivered and finished. Our server never came to check on us and I had to ask someone else for help. We were still charged for the very late food and our water glasses were empty most of the meal. Despite that, the food was delicious and the dessert was top notch. I could do without the TV in the bar area, but I'm not a sports fan. Too bad because this was a birthday dinner and left a poor impression. We may try again, but I will be weary of good service.
