Spoil yourself with cocktails and Bayou classics at Cypress Grill. This bustling restaurant is famous for its Louisiana-inspired menu which features brunch specials like shrimp and grits and Creole Eggs benedict (made with pasture-raised, certified organic eggs). The menu also lists a fine selection of seafood dishes, including local favorites such as fried catfish, blackened tilapia and shrimp Po-boy. For a little of everything, try the restaurant's special “Troy Favorite Lunch”, which comes with chicken, muffuletta and andouille gumbo.
Cypress Grill is a popular pick with many of the local residents, who visit for the daily happy hour specials and live music (over the weekends). It makes a nice place to enjoy drinks with colleagues or friends. Flip open the drink menu and choose from a tidy list of cocktails, wine, spirits and beers. Cypress Grill is open Mondays to Sundays.
Food was absolutely awesome. Definitely great Cajun place in the heart of Texas. Cajun Hash incredible especially with the hollandaise with it. Yum
Service was good. Food was good, but I like Razoo's more
We have dined at Cypress Grill many times over the years. We've never been disappointed. This week was the exception. We arrived exactly at the time of our reservation. The young man who greeted us seemed a little confused. He told us that we would have to wait awhile to be seated. This is the exact same thing he told other diners who arrived without reservations. This has never happened to us before. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated. This is exactly the way diners without reservations were treated. I hope this was a one off for that night. If it continues, we'll rethink dining at one of our favorite restaurants in Austin.
We especially like bringing our own fine wine and paying only a modest corking fee. Rebecca is an amazing server!
Cypress Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin.
The food was authentic New Orleans. Great seafood gumbo, fresh fish with delicious sauces and great variety. The Hurricane and Sazarac were great.
One of our favorite spots for good food and friendly staff.
Cypress Grill has a nice selection of main courses and appetizers, some of which are at special prices during Happy Hour. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and had not needed the reservation, but the place filled up quickly after, about, 6:30 p.m. so we were glad we had made the reservation anyway. The cocktails were delicious, the main course was excellent, the desert was well worth it.
Great dinner at Cypress Grill, as always! It's one of our go-to restaurants to take the family.
We love Cypress Grill. Consistently great food in a comfortable atmosphere.
Cypress Grill is my go-to place for all kinds of events. From a date night with my spouse, to a gathering of family or friends, we are always treated well. The waitstaff, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen all work together to make the dining experience great. Laissez les bons temps rouler - EVERY DAY!
Service was prompt, waitperson courteous and friendly. I loved the grilled trout with menuiere sauce, sauteed squash dish and garlic mashed. We arrived during happy hour so I also enjoyed a half price mojito which was very nice. However, my son was not happy with his chicken fried ribeye. He said it was thin and not good quality.
Exceptional food! Long wait if you don't have reservations.
Exceptionally excellent food. Consistently good. For 10 years now, this has been one of my favorite Austin restaurants. Never had a disappointing meal here and everything on the menu is delicious.
The restaurant was extremely busy so that was a good sign but we didn't have to wait too long for our food.
We found this place by accident and were pleasantly surprised. Good food.
We enjoy the Saturday/Sunday brunch which lasts until 2:30. Their breakfast menus is very good as well as the lunch portion.
Everyone enjoyed their food and plan on returning. I was a little disappointed that we arrived and the two different couples in front of us who were walk-ins were seated at tables and then when I indicated we had reservations, we were told all the tables were now taken. We had to wait a bit for someone to leave in order to be seated.
The food was great and I like that they display work by local artists
I had the omlette at brunch and it was fantastic. I also love the service at Cypress Grill.
This is a very nice restaurant, and a Louisiana style cuisine, which is executes very well. However like most such food, avoid the fried stuff. The host was super friendly.
The blackened chicken was great, I love this place. The service is outstanding.
Everything was great. Food and Service was excellent.
The food is great. The service is great. I love this place.
The food was fantastic!!! Definitely going back.
Great food! Live the brunch items and their food never disappoints!
Had an outstanding waitress that gave us recommendations that were good. The cafe au lair could've been a little hotter and it was very noisy. But we'll go back because the food s good!
We love Cypress Grill. We have a Saturday Breakfast Club that gathers there, and we have for years. The Brunch is wonderful as are their entries . It is a great neighborhood restaurant. The bar is a fun place to visit and watch sports.
We have eaten at Cyrpus Grill several times and find it excellent every time we go. We do not live in Austin so we can only go when we are in town, but I would recommend it to anyone who likes Cajun food.
I just love this place! I was worried because it was on such a busy street, but parking was easy, the other diners were fun and diverse, and the food was terrific. The owner, Dave, was there and attentive, but not intrusive.
We will definitely come back.
