About Cypress Grill
Spoil yourself with cocktails and Bayou classics at Cypress Grill. This bustling restaurant is famous for its Louisiana-inspired menu which features brunch specials like shrimp and grits and Creole Eggs benedict (made with pasture-raised, certified organic eggs). The menu also lists a fine selection of seafood dishes, including local favorites such as fried catfish, blackened tilapia and shrimp Po-boy. For a little of everything, try the restaurant's special “Troy Favorite Lunch”, which comes with chicken, muffuletta and andouille gumbo.
Cypress Grill is a popular pick with many of the local residents, who visit for the daily happy hour specials and live music (over the weekends). It makes a nice place to enjoy drinks with colleagues or friends. Flip open the drink menu and choose from a tidy list of cocktails, wine, spirits and beers. Cypress Grill is open Mondays to Sundays.

Cypress Grill Ratings and Reviews
Please look at my private note to the restaurant. The restaurant is good but the connection between the app and the restaurant is unsatisfactory. The host or hostess did not seem to be familiar with the app and therefore could not connect with the confirmation number and that is not satisfactory.
The restaurant is good. My question now is how do I get the confirmation number acknowledge as my friend and I did in fact eat breakfast at the restaurant this morning. Yet we had a host and hostess who were unable to confirm on the app that we were there. Thank you, KJ
Cypress Grill was an overall positive experience. The food was good but not exceptional. We had a large party (7 people) and the service went smoothly. Almost all expressed a favorable impression of the food, except for the gumbo. My Eggs Benedict were okay but that's it.
I guess I went in with my expectations too high, the food MENU was great but the actual food itself lacked flavor and seasoning. I couldn't see myself or anybody I was with returning. I had the seafood platter with red beans & rice and mustard greens. The greens didn't have a ounce of seasoning and the beans just were plain nothing special, the crab cake was generic almost tasted like something out of the frozen food section, the fried shrimp were good decent size and seasoned. My mom had the shrimp and grits which she didn't too much care for, she wished the shrimp would've been real Cajun style shrimp instead of just some boiled plain shrimp, and the grits really didn't have a pinch of seasonings.
I just wouldn't call this a Cajun Restaurant, BECAUSE EVERYTHING LACKED the most important part or Cajun food...FLAVOR!
The noise level in your restaurant but last Friday night was especially loud. In particular, there was a table that included several children who appeared to be uncontrollable. I use the word appeared because the adults did nothing to try and quiet them down or stop their running around the tables.
I understand it's a delicate conversation, but would be nice if someone from your staff could address these types of situations.
We've been going here for years, but over the last couple of visits the service has been inattentive. A couple of times we have had a hard time getting any attention from wait staff after our initial order (to get a second round of drinks or dessert or whatnot). We gave up on a second round of beers because the waiter never came back around and it took so long to get our beers the first time. We had planned on getting dessert, but had to abandon that, too. I still love the food. Please put a little more focus on the service, though, Cypress!
At the suggestion of some friends my wife (of 45 years) and I decided to try Cypress Grill for our anniversary dinner. We were treated professionally and with respect from the moment we entered the restaurant. Our waitress, Rachel B., was excellent, attentive to our wants but she did not hover. The food was wonderful, as were the cocktails, and we did not feel at all rushed. All in all a very pleasant experience.
My husband and I enjoy this restaurant. The quality of the food is consistently excellent and the servers are knowledgeable and provide just the right amount of attention. We introduced our friends to this restaurant on our last visit and they loved it and plan to return.
Thank you for asking. My family and I have been customers of Cypress Grill since it opened. It is in our neighborhood and we like to support our local businesses. I have to say that we were all looking forward to a delicious Cajun style brunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant decided to do a buffet brunch, which was not advertised anywhere on their website. They serve brunch every Saturday and Sunday until 2:30 and although you are not able to order the full menu, you can order most items on the menu. That is what we expected. The Easter brunch consisted of cold eggs, cold grits, overcooked boiled shrimp, tasteless étouffée,burnt pancakes etc. Not at all what we expected. They didn't refresh the food until the warming tray was almost empty and the food was cold. From now on, we will go to Evangeline's for our Cajun and Creole food.
