The outdoor patio was perfect and the weather was even better. Sunday brunch was good.
Great experience! We sat at the bar, had drinks, appetizer & dinner. Carlos (bartender) was friendly, professional & attentive. Good job all around.
We went at 10 am. Was very quiet. Quick service. Has a nice patio. Everything was fresh and nice portions.
Their brisket tacos!! Best tacos I've ever had. And their drinks were delicious. Great service as well.
The food was mediocre and the price. Nothing stood out from a quality point of view to draw us back.
It was amazing!!!
Enchiladas and tamales were very flavorful. Slightly salty. Margaritas were great
Wonderful service and food
We were a party of 8 and sat outside for lunch. Everyone seemed pleased with their food. I had chicken and brisket nachos and chopped salad and both were very good. Others liked the fajitas and guacamole. Someone said tortilla soup was nothing special.
We always get our Cyclone Anaya’s fix when we are in Houston. Dependably good food, margaritas, and service!
It was a very disappointing lunch at Cyclones! We will not rush back.
Went with two family members and a friend, on last minute reservation. This restaurant is in a lovely, vibrant neighborhood in Rice Village area. On arrival, we were directed to a great table and had very attentive service. Shared appetizers (queso, guacamole and ceviche) and family-style combo fajitas were high quality; margaritas were a hit - even having ordered three different ones between us! Service was spot on - non-intrusive but very proactive and responsive. A must-dine if you are in Houston looking for quality Tex-Mex!
Good beef fajita nachos. Great prices on lunch specials. LOVE the patio seating.
Waiter took a considerable amount of tine to get drinks, order was missing things, food was cold like if it was sitting there for a while. For those prices i would think you would have an amazing meal, sadly it wasnt. We have been to other cyclons and at least the food was very tasty.
Had to wait over 30 min for drinks and 45 minutes for food…. restaurant was only 25% full and our party was still barely attended to. Had to ask for a waiter multiple times.
Nice place and really good food
We were seated next to an exit door that staff used nonstop and it banged so loud every time they went in and out. I ordered a half order of nachos (as I always do) and was brought a full order. I mentioned it to my waiter and he argued with me 3 times saying I ordered a full order. Then he just glared at me and said what do you want me to do angrily.
Nothing special. Food was ok but not pleased with the location they sat us. The place wasn't busy when we came so plenty of empty tables yet they sat us at the table right in front of the restroom doors and at the entrance of the kitchen where besides the traffic of servers with food, it seems to be the social area for the staff that weren't busy (waiters, busboys, kitchen staff) and they were socializing rather loudly disregarding the customers who are trying to enjoy their dinner and company.
Won't go there again 😒
Wonderful lunch with a friend at Cyclones! They offer a nice Restaurant Weeks menu, but both of us opted for the Build your own. Delicious brisket quesadilla, beef chalupa for my friend, beef fajita quesadilla & chicken enchilada for me. Alejandro took great care of us and the food was fresh & delicious.
Park on the street in Rice Village or use the Hanover Garage.
Server was unenthused to be our waitress, and
Servers were attentive and helpful. The mea was excellent. We had a large party and no one felt rushed or lagging.
Great Tex Mex, and I love their other menu items too. Service is always great!
Great food and great service.
Food not the same doesn’t have as big a variety of food choices anymore and dish was poorly made
Haven't been in awhile but my wife and I were craving some cyclone Anaya's. We ordered the usual ceviche and enchiladas Anayas. Anticipating the same goodness we have loved for many years we were surprised by the change of menu. The new ceviche was lacking in flavor. The old ceviche always hit the spot. The new enchiladas anayas were basically lightly fried tortilla with cabbage and guacamole. CABBAGE on enchiladas....but I gave it a shot. Not good but not horrible, edible. I was hoping for that signature adobo sauce. My wife sent the ceviche back and got the chicken tacos. The chicken tacos were like something I could get at a local taco cabana!!!! Menu changes are OK but not at the expense of signature dishes. At least keep them as a option. I was informed of new ownership that may have changed those two dishes but don't try and reinvent the wheel.
I would definitely recommend their del Mar enchiladas! It's made to perfection from the gods!
This reservation was very dear to me and my family considering my dad was recently released from the hospital and it was Father’s Day on top of his first outing since being in a hospital for 6 months.
As we were seated i first went to the restroom to wash my hands and upon washing my hands in the ladies room there was a huge unsanitary trash can near the sink catching a leak from the ceiling. My first thought was they have leaks granted it rained a little that day. Off to the table my daughter sat down and her seat was soaked. As I looked in the ceiling there is another leak. I immediately looked at the waiter and asked to be moved. Without any urgent response as if he didn’t care. He then asked did I want a manager im like yes since you insisted but clearly I need a new table. Considering my disabled dad in a wheel chair and special needs sister. This could have easily went wrong and of course I didn’t want them to have any accidents. The manager then comes moved us as the waiter still looks in no way of attempting to trouble shoot on his own. I then asked for a different waiter whom was much nicer but the experience was not a good one to say the least. Highly disappointed.
We love coming here and sitting with Alex (with the ponytail)
We chose the Rice location to celebrate my dons 29th birthday. My party sat out on the patio and the weather was great, the service was impeccable and I will definitely be visiting this location again.
It was our first time but we absolutely loved it. The environment, the food, the drinks everything was amazing
Great food and the margaritas were phenomenal. Our waiter Alex was excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable.
We thought the food was prepared with too much oil and fat. It was too heavy. Other than that the flavors and quality were very good. Nice restaurant.
Service was not great, food was good.
We had a Mother's Day brunch and we loved the Mimosa's! The food was fine - but my taco was a bit bland/dry (needed more side items like guacamole, etc.) We did have difficulty with parking as we came to the restaurant before the valets' arrived and it wasn't clear that we could park in the parking garage next door. That could have been handled better. Otherwise, our wait staff was great!
Extremely poor service on a Friday night. Would not recommend.
The food and drinks were both great. We can about 2 hours before closing so maybe that’s why the service was a bit slow, but other than that everything was great.
Jocelyn was fantastic. Attentive. Professional. Friendly.
The salsa was not impressive. Service was good and loved dining on a patio.
We sat on the patio, great food, great view, and great meal!!
We were seated quickly, the waiter came over got our order and everything continued to flow smoothly, which made our overall dinning experience GREAT!
