It was a pleasant meal with the family and we enjoyed our experience. We will return.
Absolutely awesome time...look forward to returning
This was our first Sunday breakfast visit but it will not be our last. The chilaquiles were excellent. We highly recommend ordering the bottle of champagne to customize the mimosa options!
Service was not there we were ignored I had to bitterly get up and finds waiter or manager never go back and will post that n yelp
This was my first time eating at this restaurant, so the food was good and the drinks were excellent. Went there to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and per my request through the app, I was able to surprise him with a special dessert. I was impressed that the restaurant actually pay attention to the special request notes at the time of reservation. We enjoyed our dinner and the Houston Texans game!
Most of us liked our food - the fajita wrapped chile relleno was great. It was really noisy and hard to hear one another at our table. It was a little pricey for what we got. The service was good.
The food is great and the prices of the drinks are superb. Great staff and also there is free valet (tip option available).
Always a good choice. The food is always fresh, the atmosphere friendly. Love this place !
I love this place. Delicious nachos and chili rellenos.
Brunch selection was very diverse and the food came swiftly!
Best Tex Mex I’ve ever eaten. My friends agreed
Cyclone's is a great hangout place with excellent food. The staff was very friendly and, I plan to return soon... and the Houston Astros won their game as I was sitting there enjoying my food.
Great service, great food
My experience was average all the way around, from the food to the service to the ambiance. I had the fish tacos and they just seemed rather bland even with the salsa. I will say the charro beans were the best part of the meal.
WOW. I went to the old Cyclone's in the 80's, and the new restaurant is not the same. That aside, there were some things I couldn't overlook. Just an overall disastrous evening. I feel we should have asked for the manager, but we just wanted out of there, asap.
**There were lots of empty tables. They weren't busy so there is no excuse for what I have written below.
First, it took about 10-15 minutes to get chips & salsa, and we had to ask our waitress for them.
Second, I asked for no salt on my drink rim, I received salt. Not the end of the world but dang, if this was the only thing I would overlook leaving this review.
Third, after sitting for 20 minutes, I found we have no silverware. Rather than ask for yet another thing that is expected, I just got up and grabbed some off of another empty table.
Fourth, the waitress didn't know the menu, and didn't have my husband's order right. But after she asked a question that wasn't necessary if she had it right, it was straightened out. She did admit that she had been there for about a week, so I can let that slide a bit.
Fifth, the crab enchiladas were so incredibly salty, and general unappetizing, they were just not was I expecting.
Sixth, my husband's fish tacos were disgusting. He said he'd had better tacos from a seedy strip center Tex mex joint.
SEVENTH, the waitress asked us if we wanted separate checks, while we were both wearing wedding bands that were EXACTLY the same on our ring fingers. She needs to be more observant of her guests. I've never been asked this question unless I was with a group of women, or several couples.
Won't be back, even if we get a free gift card. So disappointed that I won't even eat my leftovers. They've gone into the trash. Complete waste of time and money.
Going to Hugo's, Xochi, or El Tiempo next time. We've never been disappointed there!
Great food and great service.
This pains me to write as we've been going here for years, but the last few times the food and the drinks were terrible. The meat was a lower quality and over salted, the drinks were watered down and unfortunately the service can't make up for this given the competition is tough in a city dominated by great restaurants. I know we won't be back, but hopefully Management will take notice and make corrections before they lose other customers and great waitstaff.
I had the "Camarones a la Parilla" includes 6 grilled shrimp with melted cheese and jalapenos wrapped in bacon over a bed of cilantro rice, a side of grilled vegetables and a couple slices of tomato and avocado over 1 sheet of lettuce. The Shrimp was okay, but the bacon wrapped around was raw toward the middle. Also the cilantro rice had absolutely no flavor. Overall i'd say this plate is over priced for what it is.
Great time in celebrating our 1st anniversary! Service was very well. Food was great and loved the drinks as always. First time visiting this location but will return
This place was amazing! Our food was cooked perfectly! Much more than we expected!
My service was outstanding and my wife was very, very, very, pleased !
I have my birthday there pretty much every year as it is close to my friends and family and we have a great time with the superb service provided by our favorite server.
We always enjoy our time here. The food is always good and service is great.
End of project business dinner, food and service was excellent.
The food and service was excellent. Enjoyed the Cyclone Anaya soft tacos. Good value in a relaxing environment
We have previously experiences the Town and Country restaurant and went to Durham, closer to our house. The food was good, BUT the restaurant was so noisy that the waiter coud not hear us. In addition the waiter didn't know the prices of the beers. Beers are not listed on the drink menu. He brought us appetizers and entrees at the same time and didn't remove used basket/dish when putting other things on the table.
He brought more water to my husband, forgetting me.
Not to mention the toilets where one door is not closing.
We will never go for a dinner again at this place, even if the food is quite good.
It was no way a good experience.
Very good food. Very good service. Very good atmosphere.
Really average food. Restaurant wasn’t busy when we were seated and it took close to 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and take drink order. Won’t be going back with so many other great Tex-Mex/ Mexican food options in Houston.
Been going to Cyclone’s since the early ‘80s. Yes, Cyclone’s has had its ups and downs over the years, but this location has consistently outstanding food. My out-of-town friends loved it.
The restaurant did not have our reservation. Thankfully it was early enough and they were able to sit our party of 7.
Son’s 25 birthday, pre Astros game meal! Very nice.
The food is good. The base for the margaritas is very acid. Almost ruins the dining experience.
The food was good and the service was very friendly and helpful but, very slow. We ordered very simple dishes and it took over an hour to get our food.
Our waitress did an outstanding job. She was professional but present when we needed to get something. She made great recommendations. Very impressed with the level of service
Very good food, service and all around dining experience. The house margaritas have a little more acid than I like, but that won't keep us from returning!
Start with the parking. HAVE to valet, and I don't like people driving my car. The table we got was good, but dear lord is that a noisy restaurant. It's like people go there who have never been to a restaurant before. The server was very good, and the drinks were tasty. The salsa is something I'd never serve, as it was mostly like ketchup. The food however was much, much less quality than I expected. It was plated nicely, and not a crazy huge portion, but a simple enchilada plate for $18, I expect more effort. My wife was sick that night after eating there, but maybe it was a coincidence. Either way, for a dinner for 4 for $180, I expect delicious food. This isn't the place for that in my opinion.
I'd recommend getting some acoustic tiles for the ceiling, and either re-check your recipes or lower your prices. This isn't Mexican food, its an American representation of what Mexican food looks like (maybe in Michigan).
Always enjoy the food and service. Wish it were a little quieter but always a good experiance.
Cyclones on Duhram is an excellent and cozy venue for any event. The bartenders are super experienced and muy caliente!!
An oldie but a goodie for me. This Houston gem was a first for my ❤️ since moving here from Green Bay WI. We had fabulous margaritas plus happy hour appetizers. Cerviche was my fav but the quest with taco meet didn’t disappoint. Pork tacos and brisket quesadilla were superb! We will be back soon!
