CView Restaurant at the Qualicum Beach Inn
Great food, waitress was friendly, didn’t feel rushed.
Enjoyable, thank you.
Ate in the bar area. good appies, pizza and drinks. Staff friendly and efficient.
We were made to feel welcome upon entering, and service was prompt, attentive, and unobtrusive. The seafood chowder was filling, and the Caeser Salad fresh and generous. My companion had the fish and chips again, and it was excellent. We had not had the best service on a previous visit, the first day of the new menu in late November, and are happy to see all parts of the lunch experience is excellent.
Have been numerous times, never had a bad meal. Next time will be doing prime rib night which is always a treat.
It's one of the higher end places you will find in Qualicum. I have been there in the summer when the patio is hopping and the view of the water is fabulous. The other night my husband and I went for a quiet dinner and we sat inside with a view of the fireplaces - very cosy! The menu is good and they were very happy to modify almost any item to be vegetarian. We will definitely make this a staple of our trips to Qualicum. And thank you for letting us use the electric car charger!
Various family members dine at CView regularly. I often bring my mother for dinner on our own. I always ensure that we have a table that respects the comfort of elderly guests. This particular reservation was a treat for my mother and her husband. They were given a very poor table, one exposed and in the midst of too much traffic and not sheltered from the noise and hubbub of activity. Disappointing for me to get that as feedback.
4 "orphaned" couples with no family nearby enjoyed a wonderful meal together at the Cview. Staff was outstanding! Dinner was delicious - all three choices! Thank you for making our Christmas a fantastic time!
Very pleasant experience with excellent service from our happy smiling waitress. We were there for brunch and had a choice between a continental buffet or ordering from the menu. Preferring the latter, we were served a very good traditional breakfast with endless coffee at a very reasonable price.
Not until i hear positive comments on the food , the seafood portion of our meal was under cooked and cold, prosseco was flat. desert was excellent as was our server.
This restaurant is consistently awesome!
The waitress was exceptional. She modified the salmon dish (needed to substitute peppers and spicy sausage). She and the chef did great. Perhaps a bit more selection - halibut??
We had an enjoyable brunch. The staff were friendly and just the right amount of attention. The food was good too. The only thing is there was far too much of it. We were all seniors and it would be nice to have a lighter fare menu. All of us left about 1/2 of what was served and none of us were able to take the leftovers away. Such a waste.
The salmon was a bit dry, the paella was a bit dry but overall very tasty. Love having the musician playing in the background. Unfortunately the night we were there we also had a small child at an adjacent table that was disruptive. I love children but placing a family with a small child in the centre was not the best for others, maybe thought could have been be given to placing this group on the periphery if it was possible.
Hi Catherine! Thanks for your comments! The salmon is a new dish for us and so far people have been loving it! I will make sure out team take care when cooking the salmon and address the paella too! As for your experience with the children, sorry! It's hard to find the right place for a family. The next time you end up sitting next to an um... undesirable neighbors ask your server to move you. I't usually no problem whatsoever! Thanks again for your help making our new menu better!
we love the ambience , the service is excellent.
my butternut squash ravioli with brown butter was excellent, I would definitely have it again.
the seafood spaghetti I felt was overpriced, not enough seafood for the $
the QBI Caesar salad was unusual, chunks of fat on the ham, would not order it again.
we live in QB and really do love this restaurant , we'll be back.
Hi Greg! Thanks for your great comments. I also love the ravioli it's a great new dish on our menu. I had ithe seafood pasta last week and it was packed with Prawns, mussels, salmon and sable-fish. I will have a look at our portion size and make sure we are giving enough seafood! Our Caesar is new and people are loving it. We are trying 'lardon' instead of bacon bits. They are sometimes fatty, which does add flavor. Sorry Greg, and thanks for your help with our new menu ! 0
It was very noisy when we were there as the restaurant was full and there was a singer too. We could not hear the singer because of the noise. Our table for six was made up of three separate tables pushed together so we were a fair distance from each other which, added to the noise level, made it difficult to have a conversation between ourselves. There was a new menu and I had already looked at the menu online and chosen my meal but the site had not been updated so my choice was no longer available. The service was good and the food was also good. I probably won't return to this restaurant.
Aggie...NOOOOO! I am sorry you found things a little noisy. We love our live music and our lively dining room and we will certainly try to find to a quiet corner of the restaurant on your next visit. As for the website, thanks for the heads up. We have updated our menus now and made some great last-minute changes to make things even better. I'm glad you enjoyed the food and service, and REALLY hope to see you again! Thanks for your help in making C-View Restaurant even better!
Excellent service with outstanding food! Highly recommend!
Food was good. We waited over an hour for our food and we had our 2 grand children with us. 2 tables that came in after us got their food way before we did. Had to wait and ask for a spoon to stir our coffee as none were supplied with the cream and sugar
Very disappointed in the length of time it took to get our food. Even when it came it was several minutes between dishes for the various people. Our table of 6 won’t be back as we will find somewhere else to meet our family for breakfast/brunch. What is worst we even made a reservation
The server was nice but overwhelmed.
Sorry we are not picky people and rarely give negative replies but the length of time we had to wait for our food was not acceptable
I drank 3 cups of coffee and 2 glasses of water waiting. The others who had tea were never given hot water refills.
You get a D- for our experience

Great location, easy to park, good access for elderly and wheelchairs. Great view. Lovely staff and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend.
CView never disappoints. The food, service, presentation, ambiance are always excellent and this was no exception.
This is the second time we have dined here and again we were not disappointed. Food was delicious, all four of us had a different dish and we all were very pleased. The bar manager is a sweetheart that makes a mean Manhattan! All the wait staff were terrific. Would definitely recommend it and will be returning ourselves next time we are in Qualicum Beach.
I was disappointed with the service it was poor. We were left waiting for our plates to be picked up . He was not very at tentative.
I really wish they would bring back the Brussel Sprouts and edamame beans too. They were excellent. Menu has gone more Pub like .
I love restaurant and go there a lot. It will be 3-4 times in the past 10days.
The Restaurant at Qualicum Beach Inn has great ambiance, good value for what you get
This restaurant is a favourite of ours, and they never disappoint. The food is excellent, and service prompt. The inside of the restaurant can get a bit loud, but outside is wonderful. And quite the view!
We were having breakfast mid morning so the restaurant was pretty quiet so enabled us to have a nice relaxing meal. Great food and the gentleman serving us was attentive and pleasant. We will be back.
Paul was our server and he was a great host. Cocktail and wine wonderful, as was the ravioli. But the seared tuna dish would have been better with a different side - the succotash and un-dressed arugula was a strange accompaniment and not very good.
My wife, daughter and a good friend celebrated an evening out together over good food and good wine. The service was top notch right from the reception, to our waitress and all the support staff. Very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious as was the wine and beer. We were probably quite loud. We laughed, ate, drank and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. What more can I say.
Our dinner was fabulous. It was truly a memorable night and we were ove r joyed with the waiters help finding the right wine. We LOVED it!
This is our favourite restaurant on Vancouver Island! Besides the food being great and nicely presented, the ambience is amazing, the glass balls on the wall and the big white fixtures above the banquettes make the room magical. We try to celebrate every special occasion here
Best meal I had while on the island!!
Butter Chicken was incredible!!
Our second visit and the ambience was just as nice as the first visit. Sadly, due to staff shortage, our wait for the table was long and the service was not as spot-on as before, which was no fault of the staff. The Tuna Bowl, the shortribs, and the pasta were all superb, as was the Grey Monk Pinot Gris. Must mention that all at the table noticed one bottle of the Pinot Gris served appeared to be short of wine. Odd, but we all observed this. We question if the bottle had been opened, some served, and then the capped bottle returned to the bar? Nonetheless, we will certainly return.
Food was awesome and so was the service! I would highly recommend it
Food took a long, long time to come. When it finally arrived, although my wife’s dish was hot and fresh, it was evident that my halibut had been sitting for a long time. Fish batter and fries were limp. Tartar sauce and coleslaw were as warm as the rest of the meal. Tasted good, I ate it, but disappointing.
Waitress was very pleasant but made no attempt to address the long wait.
It is a beautiful spot, will probably go back, but we were disappointed on this visit.
We love this restaurant! Good service, good food, good ambiance and beautiful sunsets!
Good atmosphere, hood food . Service was marginal. Our waiter seemed to be rushed and did not do the niceties such as water refills etc. They need more serve staff.
Management should have interceded with children of a family dining at the same time as us. The parents did not control their children. Dinner at8:00 pm shouldn’t include children running around the room.
Our waiter was unable to greet us and present menus. Another waiter had to get us water after he saw we were not getting served properly. Not impressed.
Our dinners were all amazing, waiter was fantastic, wonderful spot with a fabulous view.
Our only complaint was the noise level was quite bad but we enjoyed our meal immensely.
The food was terrible! I ordered the special which was prime rib. What showed up on my plate was not prime rib but some version of roast beef. To their credit, they didn't charge me for the meal. My wife ordered butter chicken which also was awful. Instead of being buttery, it consisted of a red pasty sauce. We will never go back to this place for dinner!!!!
Parents anniversary
The food is always outstanding, very fresh and innovative! Great ambiance and staff efficient and so friendly.
