We visited CView on NYE. I was quite disappointed, though I am willing to cut the restaurant some slack on some aspects on the basis that it was NYE. We were seated at a table in a corner in what was really the bar area. I had a lovely view of the inner workings of the bar, and my husband of the wall. We were also seated along the wall adjacent to the wine cellar and every time anyone came in or out, the door would slam and give us a fright. Wasn’t conducive to a relaxing or comfortable dinner. The food was reasonable. The main courses were good - meat was well cooked and sides were nice. We had the Brie and Pear Bruschetta to start - this is better suited as a dessert than an appetizer as it is very sweet. The Poke was mediocre at best. Desserts were pretty good. Service was so so. Overall, wasn’t impressed. Did meet someone last night who encouraged me to give it another try and might do so in the future. Wouldn’t rush to it though. Sorry CView - I really don’t like giving these kinds of reviews...I’m hopeful it wasn’t reflective of your standard.

Excellent meal once again at the CView restaurant, I had the linguine pasta with butcher block beef, so delicious. Highly recommended.
It was also nice to have the live entertainment this year , the young lady singing was very good.
Cant wait for my next visit.

We were on a weeks R&R and drove to the Qualicum Beach Inn for dinner. The food and service were very good and it was quiet enough to have good conversation. The price was reasonable for the quality and amount of food you received. Would highly recommend it.

Food was mediocre at best. I had pork ribs. I cook them way better. Skin should have been removed and they had not been slow roasted properly as not as tender as they should be. Someone else had the beef ribs and felt that they weren't that great either. The starters were pretty good though so have to say if I went again I would stick with 2 or 3 of them for my meal.

Barbequed pork ribs were well done but dry (too little sauce in the cooking). Potatoes Au Gratin -- which were wonderful on a previous occasion -- were undercooked, significantly; the potatoes in this dish should never be "chewy", let alone tough...and these were. Surf and turf (with scallops) was very good. Cheesecake and vanilla ice cream (two dishes) were superb.

Was a great dinner loved the food but bought a 90 dollar bottle of wine and it was crystallized at the bottom and was poured into my wife glass great wine but crappy ending we told the manager and he didn't care not even a sorry so the whole experience was great for are aniversary besides the ending due to the managers lack of caring. Wasn't a big deal but should have been handled better

We have enjoyed many meals at the Qualicum Beach Inn. Unfortunately on Friday, September 22nd @ 7:15pm the music was too loud. We couldn't hear ourselves think, never mind hearing the person next to us or across the table. We inquired if the music could be toned down. When this didn't happen, we didn't order and simply got up and left the restaurant. We'll check next time to see if there will be loud live music playing and then decide whether we will make a reservation or choose a different location.

This is our "go to" restaurant for special occasions. It's not cheap, but the food is always first-rate, excellent service, stunning view. I recommend this venue constantly, and every time we have visitors to our area, this is where I make reservations. Love it!

This restaurant is one of the few on the ocean in Qualicum.
It has well trained staff and wonderful ambiance, both inside and out on their patio.
They have a great menu with a tasty variety!
The sit-up bar is really nice too, once again, it's the staff that make this place a great licences restaurant!

Made a reservation requested inside view table. Didn't get the window seat, service was slow.... waited a really long time for tea & coffee. Table of 4 that came in after us got their drinks before us. Got maybe 5 pieces of potatoes, no jam, no saucers for our cups. It was a little bit busy and the staff was very nice. I have been there many times, but will wait a while before going back again.

i had visited previously and had the guiness short rib made that night by chef shaun,it was so amazing i could not wait to go back again, so i took my wife there for our 20 yr anniversary wanting for her to experience the best in the area with a great patio scene,we were so excited,BUT, i remember from the last time that you guys cook your veggys slightly under,so they are crispy, im sure thats how they are supposed to be, but i have an upper denture and i specifically requested them to be well steamed so they were soft, they arrived harder than before and very crunchy, i could not eat them, so she took them back and some time later, more veggys arrived, again not soft, and that took more than 15 minutes. i asked for the rice dish to be replaced with roasted potatoes or a baked potato with gravy, last visit shaun made awesome roasted potatoes for me and a nice helping of yummy gravy, not this time, shaun was not there,so his kitchen second guy put 6 potato wedges on there with no gravy, i was actually quite surprised and dismayed again, and then the rib was good , but barely heated up,it showed in how it separated when cutting and how it tasted, very disappointing,Also, i asked the waitress for a double crown and coke with only 3 ice cubes(dont like a watered down drink), it came loaded with ice,
believe it or not , i am not a picky person, but when i spend that kind of money on a dish and have had it before, then everything i have mentioned above is totally unacceptable.

the server was great, she handled my bickering very well and gave us a $14 discount on the meal ticket, but when offering us a free desert .......i was now in a bit of a bad and dissapointed mood and took my wife to the patio on the water at the shady rest for cheesecake and drinks.
I have my own business, and even though we get crazy busy and backed up at times, i never cut corners at the clients expense, they always get my best
I love your restaurants set up,but consistency is key in the kitchen

Our reservation was at 6:30 and the restaurant was busy, but our outside patio table was waiting, the service was excellent and food delicious. My husband and I shared the CView Brushetta and the Squid for appetizers and we both ordered the salmon dishes ....all were fabulous. As the evening started to cool the Manager, without requesting, started to move the patio heaters around the tables to warm all customers. A much appreciated move.

Welcoming reception at the door, excellent service, excellent food perfectly prepared, lovely views of the beach. Has lovely outdoor patio area protected by glass from road noise and dust. Ample choices on the lunch menu. I had the avocado sandwich and romaine salad which were very good indeed. Previous experience with dinner menu was also very good. The braised ribs were awesome.

I was raised in, and have worked in the service industry my entire life- and through my past experiences, would not choose to come back.
To start our experience we were sat beside a roudy table when requested a quiet seat, we moved over on table to allow a little more privacy, and when the server came she assured us this was no problem. She went to take a drink order and realized we were sat with no menus. Once the host returned with those, he commented and apologized but he had to rearrange his seating as we had inconvenienced him by moving.
The menu was beautiful- we ordered Carlmelized pear and Brie bruschetta, delicious flavours but VERY dry and not enough pear to notice. We ordered nachos to share- the beef was dumped on the top and as we asked for extra cheese, it didn't appear present. And what cheese we had was also placed in the same spot, leaving most of the tortillas bare. There was minimal dip to accompany. The service was minimal and the waits were far too long for a lemonade a coke and a plate of nachos.
We have experienced better quality of service from Boston pizza- but you guys take it for the view.

Great service. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and helped. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. We didn't venture out to the patio though. So not sure if the patio is wheelchair accessible. Washrooms are located in the main hall, to the left of the front desk. When walking out of the restaurant. Great view of the water. Food was perfect. From appetizer to desert. Definitely will be back when we visit Qualicum again.
