CView Restaurant at the Qualicum Beach Inn
Excellent meal and service
Beautiful Patio Seating!
Paul, our server, was wonderful.
Everything was great! The waiter was personal yet professional.
I would have liked some soft music in the background ..but all other was good !
Food was great, service was fantastic, prices were reasonable. Overall a great experience.
Had a lovely dinner. The food, service and location were all wonderful! Highly recommend.
The mussels from Lasqueti Island was amazing. Spot prawns on the salad was pretty small, end of season perhaps. We were seated outside by the glass patio with a wonderful view. Our order came out in timely manner and the drinks ordered from the bar was quite good. Our server, Felix was efficient and friendly. Overall, it was a great ending to our mini vacation. Highly recommend this restaurant. (Unable to upload images)
Came for Brunch, @ 11.30am told had to wait until 12 to order off the lunch menu. Waited, ordered and then had to wait 45 minutes for our meal. Meal was good, but the cost of a soft drink @ $4.00 is outrageous (that's a 1600% mark up)
While the service was fine and the food good, the presence of music was reasonable but should be background - not the loud intrusive music that was provided. Add to the ambiance do not take over the room.
We had the special tonite which was a 10 ounce pork chop that was juicy and cooked just right. We love that the university students are back, always fun to catch up with them and it's always great to listen to Gary!
The lovely view, good food and great service were all somewhat diminished by the excessive noise level.
Average busy-ness when we were there for an early dinner, but the ambient noise was very annoying.
Felix, our server, did a great job!
Food was quite tasty & the decor & view are lovely.
Everything was absolutely delicious! We felt well looked after and it was one of the best meals we've had. The view was also amazing!
It was a little too noisy (question on noise level doesn't have appropriate answer choices). Food is fine, but few organic or ethical meat choices (if any at all). Eg. no organic veggie, no free range (or organic) meat. This is disappointing (as was the sourdough bread with the sandwich). Overall, it was fine.
Dinner for a group of six was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the food, view and service
We frequently hold our ladies lunch at C View. Your staff is excellent. Unfortunately two of the ladies had the quesadilla and once again they were not good at all. I had ordered quesadillas on a previous visit and they were not good at all and we had give our server our feedback. We were hopeful that changes had been made but they were just as bad. I gave this feedback once again to our server. The rest of our party had lovely meals so it is a shame.
Food was excellent. Waitress very nice and friendly. View is lovely.
Horrible food. I mean REALLY? Instant Mashed Potatoes!!!!! Overcooked steak (ordered medium rare - was served well done). Menu claimed "red wine demi glace" but no such sauce was served... whatever it was (I think a chicken stock based concoction) it seemed to be thickened with corn starch! It had a slimy appearance and consistency and tasted BAD. Waitress said to make up for the missing red wine in the so called demi we should just drink more red wine. Not amused. This place used to be pretty good and was the best around Qualicum Beach. No longer. We will not go back. Do not waste your money on this place.
Our waiter Paul was excellent. Very efficient but not obtrusive. 5 stars for him.
This was the third time we have eaten at this restaurant and I was a little disappointed in the service. We had had our server before and he had been excellent - in fact is made that experience exceptional but on Saturday, I don't know if he was off or the kitchen was off. It was a busy, sunny Saturday evening and we were seated quickly at a beautiful table. We were celebrating three birthdays that evening and the view was perfect. It took quite a while to be acknowledged, have drinks ordered, served and then our meal order placed. Another server actually brought the food and we were never asked how it was. Dessert and coffee was also slow and were never asked if/what we were celebrating although it had been mentioned on the reservation we made. I truly don't think the lack of service was all the fault of the server but he is the face of the restaurant and it was sub-par that evening. The food was good but not enough to make up for the service. Not sure if we will be returning.
With my Aunt from Calgary
8 in our group, none of us had a bad meal. Very tasty and well seasoned. We will be back.
Lovely view where we were seated
We did go to this restaurant on Saturday as well and if they say we did not show up it was their error.
The food was good and the service good depending on which server.
We had requested a window seat and we were told everyone in Qualicum Beach wanted a window seat and so those of us that travel seem to get second fiddle. However on Saturday when they said we did not show up we had a window seat. So the message I get is don't make a reservation.
Overall the food was excellent, the service excellent and the Ambiance good.
Although I, and my 2 guests enjoyed the food and the fact that we had a table with a view, it was very noisy in the restaurant; perhaps due to the fact that there were screaming children just a few tables over from us. I would recommend that staff ask the parents to remove the children before it becomes disruptive to others.
This is a great place to eat, good seating plan so that majority of the tables have an ocean view. The tables on the patio have a glass screen, that protects from the sea breezes. Food is good and service is prompt and efficient.
Great view, lovely Restaurant with loads of seating outside. Our server was great
Always our favourite for date night; great food, great atmosphere & great food.
We visited CView on NYE. I was quite disappointed, though I am willing to cut the restaurant some slack on some aspects on the basis that it was NYE. We were seated at a table in a corner in what was really the bar area. I had a lovely view of the inner workings of the bar, and my husband of the wall. We were also seated along the wall adjacent to the wine cellar and every time anyone came in or out, the door would slam and give us a fright. Wasn’t conducive to a relaxing or comfortable dinner. The food was reasonable. The main courses were good - meat was well cooked and sides were nice. We had the Brie and Pear Bruschetta to start - this is better suited as a dessert than an appetizer as it is very sweet. The Poke was mediocre at best. Desserts were pretty good. Service was so so. Overall, wasn’t impressed. Did meet someone last night who encouraged me to give it another try and might do so in the future. Wouldn’t rush to it though. Sorry CView - I really don’t like giving these kinds of reviews...I’m hopeful it wasn’t reflective of your standard.
A beautiful setting. Intimate but comfortable. Excellent service. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends and family!
Excellent meal once again at the CView restaurant, I had the linguine pasta with butcher block beef, so delicious. Highly recommended.
It was also nice to have the live entertainment this year , the young lady singing was very good.
Cant wait for my next visit.
We were on a weeks R&R and drove to the Qualicum Beach Inn for dinner. The food and service were very good and it was quiet enough to have good conversation. The price was reasonable for the quality and amount of food you received. Would highly recommend it.
The Qualicum Beach inn is one of my favourite restaurants in town. Always like taking friends
there and also eating out with my husband. Highly recommended. c
Food was mediocre at best. I had pork ribs. I cook them way better. Skin should have been removed and they had not been slow roasted properly as not as tender as they should be. Someone else had the beef ribs and felt that they weren't that great either. The starters were pretty good though so have to say if I went again I would stick with 2 or 3 of them for my meal.
It was my husband's 66 birthday and they made it very special... great food and lovely complimentary birthday dessert.
Love this place, my favorite is the outdoor space but it being fall now we were inside with a gorgeous few of the ocean. Great service, delicious food.
Barbequed pork ribs were well done but dry (too little sauce in the cooking). Potatoes Au Gratin -- which were wonderful on a previous occasion -- were undercooked, significantly; the potatoes in this dish should never be "chewy", let alone tough...and these were. Surf and turf (with scallops) was very good. Cheesecake and vanilla ice cream (two dishes) were superb.
Was a great dinner loved the food but bought a 90 dollar bottle of wine and it was crystallized at the bottom and was poured into my wife glass great wine but crappy ending we told the manager and he didn't care not even a sorry so the whole experience was great for are aniversary besides the ending due to the managers lack of caring. Wasn't a big deal but should have been handled better
We have enjoyed many meals at the Qualicum Beach Inn. Unfortunately on Friday, September 22nd @ 7:15pm the music was too loud. We couldn't hear ourselves think, never mind hearing the person next to us or across the table. We inquired if the music could be toned down. When this didn't happen, we didn't order and simply got up and left the restaurant. We'll check next time to see if there will be loud live music playing and then decide whether we will make a reservation or choose a different location.
Enjoyed our food, the service was good and the view is beautiful. The noise level is quite high when the restaurant is full and live music is playing, although the Jazz singer was very good.
We came for a birthday dinner.
Definitely not disappointed. The waiter was delightful, the food exquisite, and the wine, superb. Definitely a great place to bring out-of-town company for the ambiance and a wonderful dining experience!
