The food was very flavorful, I loved everything I orderd. The server was extremely friendly and made me feel as if I was her number one priority. Thanks for a great first experience.
We LOVED everything about Cuvee Bistro! The food was outstanding, service fantastic, and atmosphere perfect! Our server Brook made our dining experience very special!
The bar area was loud and busy, luckily it is separated from the dining area. You only get one piece of bread instead if a basket. Your drinks come out before you've been given the dining menu. Otherwise, the food was good although The grilled veggies were very salty.
Excellent meal, very impressed. I am a chef, so I understand the details and this restaurant was great about the details. Excellent will be back when i am in Destin.
An excellent restaurant, exceeded my expectations. My wife and i had dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and, to date, this is by far the best restaurant we have found for that celebration. I had read other reviews, but my wife was shocked when told that there was a search on for black napkins, since she wore a black dress. It was a great surprise to her that the staff would go through this to save her from lint from the white napkins getting on her dress. We have spent far more for a much less satisfying experience. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone that travels to the Destin area. Though we only get to the coast every couple of years, we will definitely make plans to return.
On a recent night out, I had the pleasure of dining at Cuvee Bistro. To begin the service was excellent and the staff were simply amazing! Attentive at all times, impeccable knowledge of the menu and extremely personable. The kitchen staff, led by renowned chef Tim Creehan showed why the restaurant continues to impress fine diners consistently. As recommended by my server Collin, I ordered the sea bass and it was "Da Bomb"! The portion was extremely generous and oven roasted to perfection with jumbo mushrooms in a miso broth. This is a must-visit for all occasions. I'll definitely be back!
I had hoped for the price to be blown away by our meal. There were 5 of us dining ad we had 2 appetizers and we each tried a different entree and no one was blown away. The service was really good and so was the food but i had hoped for more. $31 for a nice size portion of sea bass but that is about all I can say about it.
If the meal had been better we may have stayed for drinks, coffee or dessert but we were all ready after our dinner was complete.
I love this restaurant. The staff really gets it in terms of service and the great vibe. The chef makes incredible food and you can tell he is passionate about the whole experience from the meal, to the friendly staff and the great ambiance. I will always come back when I'm in town. Cuvee is a pure gem!
In any Tim Creehan restaurant you can expect the food to be superb. The roast chicken and Venison dishes were spectacular. Disappointing is the wine list which inly lists US wines. Think that dropping French and Italian wines will result in some loss of customers as many of us love these wines. What Tim may have forgotten is that many of us don't care for California's Oak style Chardonnay's. My suggestion is to bring back more variety as these fabulous wines are not made in China.
Phenomenal restaurant. Outstanding server, Chris Struck.
Best menu in Destin. Many excellent choices in both appetizers and entrees. Service has been spotty, but was great this time. I am not a bar person, but the bar scene as you come in is very lively.
We come Every year while on vacation. Sometimes we even think about going more than once. The food is amazing along with wine selection. The staff is extremely friendly upbeat and knowledgable. We sat at bar prior to reservation for 30 min and the bar tender a introduced himself and the other bar tender which I've never seen before. We live 30 min from new Orleans which is known for their top rated restaurants but we look forward to cuvée every year.
The roasted chicken with Madeira sauce was excellent and the roasted brussel sprouts were the best I'd ever had. The ambiance was nice until a loud group was seated close by. We also had the grouper and loved it. The service was very good as well.
We had a great time. The food was very good, especially the fish. We will go back again.
Good Happy Hour.
The bar and adjacent areas seemed as though they could become a bit noisy, but we were seated in a small room that was very quiet, which is what we wanted. The service was excellent. My husband had lamb shanks, which, upon tasting, I gave one michelin star. I had soft shell crab over mashed sweet potatoes with a yellow pepper sauce. A brilliant combination of tastes; however, I did not rate the food the highest because the consistency of the crab indicated to me that it had been frozen at some point. The wine list is pricy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our selection--can't remember what it was except that it was a red from Australia--maybe Penfolds Shiraz? The house-made Key Lime pie was good but ordinary. We would definitely go back.
Absolutely wonderful food, very high class dining
Foof was excellent and beautIfully presented. Wine list was very good but a little too much on pricey end.
Very attentive wait staff and excellent food. Sound level louder than desirable sitting closer to bar and very crowded that night, but definitely a great place for quality food and close to home .
Great Food but it was just too loud to fully enjoy the moment. Sorry.
I was entertaining a very large customer and the restaurant lived up to all expectations. Top notch food and service. We all enjoyed the experience.
As usual Chef Tim Creehan's offerings were above par. The spinach salad was prepared to perfection. The Grouper Vince cooked and presented well and the New Zealand Venison wask cooked just right, not gamey and accentuated by the sauce. The Key Lime Pie and Creme Brulee were decadent. Had to ask for rolls, but apart from that another excellent dining experience.
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish primarily because of the dining room staff. The food and wine were very good too, but service is an important part of the desire to dine out.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. It was the second best on our trip (Basmati's in Santa Rosa Beach was the best). The food was really good. The fish choice named after Vince Gill was delicious. They had good martini prices. The service was great. Would definitely go there again.
My wife and I have come to Cuvee Bistro that last 2 years for our anniversary (2011 & 2012) There is a reason why we have come from Louisiana 2 years in a row to eat here....it's AMAZING!!! Starting from the reservations to the actual experience, they go out of their way to make your event a special one. Both times, I requested that they write a specific message to my wife on her desert plate, both times they knocked it out the park. From the moment we walk in, the customer service is beyond great. Every employee speaks to us with smiles and eager to please. I read a review on here about the food not having any taste, that person probably does not have any taste buds! I HIGHLY recommend this Cuvee for anyone wanting a special night!
Great food and service
We love Cuvee!! Always go there when we are in Destin.
We really enjoyed it.. It was our first time there and we loved it...
My wife and I had our 25th Wedding Anniversary Dinner here on Aug 1 2012 and the dinner was good and the drinks were great.
They always have a wine that we are not familiar with but we leave with a new favorite.
When I saw the menu on Open Table, I was so excited to visit this upscale restaurant in Destin. But I was surprised to find 2 of the appetizers (fried green tomatoes and fried eggplant) plated almost exactly the same and sitting in the same sauce which was average to say the least. The fried eggplant had a lemon custard on top that actually had a skin on it as if it had been sitting on the counter for an hour. The brie in the eggplant, I found delicious and innovative. My son LOVED the burger and the staff seemed to know about everything on the menu. We opted out of dessert because of the overall food experience. My hubby said that the descriptions did not meet the taste. Not really meant for foodies.
Place was very nice. It can be romantic if the noise level wasn't so loud. You have to walk through the bar area to get to dining. Food was great followed with prompt service.
Bison steak was large and very tasty. Crab spring rolls appy? Not so much. Sides were extremely salty. Odd, but all in all not bad I guess.
This was our second time to go to Cuvee. Our first experience was awesome, this time...not so much. The drinks did not seem to have any alcohol, tasted watered down. The food was ok, but not as tasty as before. Spinach Salad is great. Chocolate Crepes were great. We will go back, but this time was disappointing....especially since it was a birthday celebration.
Arrived with a party of nine with reservations and promptly seated. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about menu and helpful.
Three kids received off menu meals. Best dining experience in Destin in two trips.
Knowledgeable and courteous wait staff. Excellent selection of wines. Food preparation, presentation and taste is unsurpassed.
Our meal definitely rates as one of the best we have ever had!! We have been coming to Destin/Seaside for years and have never eaten here but I know we will definitely be back soon. The flatbread pizza was a hit for all of us....the Grouper Vince, the pork chop and fresh vegetables were awesome as well. And let's don't forget the chocolate crepes........OUTSTANDING!! The setting of the restaurant was very relaxed but also VERY nice. It was a great night all around!!
In my travels, I've not yet found something in Northwest Florida that rivals other Southern cities. This restaurant is just okay. The big issue my friend and I had with the entrees and dressings and such was an overabundance of sugar. I know we are in the land of the South, but I wasn't expecting the grouper sauce to be something I could have poured on pancakes. Anyway, won't go back next year, and the quest for something tasty here continues.
We felt very rushed. We were fed and out in less than an hour. One of the orders of sea bass was very tough. We thought the menu said a salad comes with entree but. Missed where it said for some amount of money. The restaurant was dark making it hard to read the menu. I would have thought the waiter would have asked if we would like a salad with our entree. We spent a lot of money for a not so good fast food meal.
We went here recently on our all girls trip to Destin, but was disappointed. I had the filet which I ordered medium rare and came out definitely medium to medium well. Also, the wine list is not very impressive. Our server was either nervous or new to his job. Dropped a fork, brought the wrong cocktail to my friend, and forgot to put down steak knives before food showed up.
