Cuvee Ratings and Reviews
We didn’t know what to expect and were lucky to get a reservation. The restaurant was full of local people from nearby wineries and other close areas. We had salad and soup and then beef bourguignonne. A. Were wonderful. And then Creme Brulee flavored with cardamon and other spices. The total bill was $72 for 2 including tip. We will return. The decor was just like a french bistro hence the name.
We celebrated our friend's birthday at Cuvee over the weekend. The servers were wonderful, attentive, funny, and kind. We may have been a little loud for the others in the restaurant as most of the other tables were intimate two tops. Great place for a date night or special occasion. Unfortunately, there were three of us that had an upset stomach later that night after our meal. If not for that, I would have awarded Cuvee a 5 star.
We enjoy the wait staff as well as the food. We know we can get a great meal at a reasonable price along with a stellar wine selection. Their soups and salads are creative and any vegetable coming out of the kitchen is impeccable prepared. Entrees are well cooked but I must admit to loving their desserts best.
We have stopped here: after wine tasting in the area, after showing out-of-towners our part of Oregon, have brought a large family group, and have come for a quiet dinner for two. And we are never dissapointed and always delighted with the menu choices, the artful and delicious meals, the helpful friendly service, the recommended wine pairing, and the way we're made to feel personally welcome and cared for.
We were celebrating my Mom’s Birthday. Saw reviews of Cuvee wanted to try. Came in with a reservation for 5:45 pm. Received menus. Quite a few items on the menu were not available. Asked for two different bottles of wine for our group and instead of saying they did not have them, waiter stuck nose in air and shook his head no. Food was just ok.
Sorry to say, overall conclusion from my group, a must miss!!
We loved EVERYTHING! Delicious food, a few, but extremely excellent selections, professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a small but wonderful wine list, creative appetizers and desserts and very well proportioned and prepared entrees. A fantastic surprise and lucky find in little ole Carlton, worth the short drive from the bigger city of McMinnville, or Dundee, Dayton, and Newberg...or, for that matter, even Portland :) Highly recommended!
The food was good, but I was expecting something more. For the price of the prix fixe menu ($30), it's a good value. The service was decent. It's a small restaurant, so when a large, energetic group came in, the noise level went up considerably, and we left.
Cuvée is a true gem. It is my must do whenever I am in the Willamette Valley. The food and the ambience are fabulous making me feel as if I am in a bistro in Providence.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for refined food not to mention the great prix fix menu price.
