We loved Cuvee! The food was fabtastic. My fiancee was very happy to find out the asparagus soup that evening was vegetarian, and I personally thought it was one of the better soups I've ever had. Her halibut (the fish for the evening) was absolutely amazing. Perfectly pan seared with a balance of crispness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. A flavorful but not overpowering chive beurre blanc capped it off. The service was excellent as well, very engaging and informative, with a good dash of humor. All in all, it was a wonderful evening and we will surely be back next time we are in the area.
Food was average. Wine list weak and inadequate for the region. OK place for dinner but not near as special as the website would lead you to believe.
Love Cuvee. Food is fantastic, service is warm and genuine, and prices are amazing.
We had a fabulous Easter dinner at Cuvée. The food was delicious and service was superb.
Cuvee is a great date night place. The food is wonderful as is the ambiance and service. We will definitely return.
The service was great, fixed price meal choices the we had were great. Pork loin was tender and flavorful, and the fish of the day was delightful.
Great night met all of our expectations
We are longtime diners at Cuvee and appreciate Chef Gilbert Henry's attention to a truly delightful dining experience each time we visit. We have made the trip from Portland to Carlton every winter for many years for one dish: Crab Juniper. It is a seasonal menu item only during Dungeness crab season, usually off the menu around April 1. A blend of exotically seasoned basmati rice, delicate white fish, Dungeness crab, pears, and cream sauce. Other standard consistent menu dishes are equally as good, our friends like the Boeuf Bourguignon. The Prix Fixe menu is $35 for three courses, we feel it is a great value for the quality of food and very pleasant experience.
Unexpectedly fabulous. We loved it. Great service, great wine list, great food.
We love Cuvee! The food and service are excellent. Good wine selection. Love the town of Carlton too.
We were visiting wine country for the weekend and this restaurant is an absolute gem. We had wonderful conversation with the chef/owner and it will remain one of the standouts.
Very good service, nice ambiance, good food, excellent wine list all of my requirements to return to a restaurant.
Excellent French food in the middle of wine country. Very nice dinner following an afternoon of tasting.
Delicious French food at a reasonable Prix Fixe cost.
Fish specials add to the small menu selection
Henri was entertaining as always! Love the food and atmosphere. Perfect!
I've been there multiple times, and always enjoy it.
Loved it, especially the snails!! The food was wonderful. Having lived in France for a while, the food was comfort food for my palate of French food. The servers were friendly. A true find in Oregon wine country!
Cuvée is an excellent French restaurant in Oregon wine country. The food is creatively classic, and always delicious.
Excellent food and a bit different then the usual fare. Service was awesome. Just eeished it was a bit closer to Portland but we will be back!
A charming spot in the whistle-stop town of Carlton! Henri was a great host, blending his subtle humor in every bite! We had a wonderful meal, great wine...all in all, a 5-star evening! We will return, bien sur!
Cuvee is one of my favorite French restaurants and we're quite lucky to have it in out little town of 2,000. definitely a perfect spot, after all the wine tasting, to land and enjoy the incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked food at this establishment.
This small place is superior to any place in the area and, in addition to well prepared down to earth French food, has great prices and a very reasonable wine list. The owner and small staff were wonderful.
AS always, great food, wonderful ambiance. Worth the detour to head out to Carlton!
We had a wonderful meal and a happy birthday party. The service was very pleasant and everyone loved their food!
Excellent food well presented and charmingly served. The grouper and flourless chocolate cake were memorable!
Delightful experience- unique and seasonal appetizers, steak and frites was exquisitely prepared.
We plan on coming back with friends when we want good food, service in a pleasant environment. It will be "special" when we come again. Not the usual diner out for sure.
A hidden gem in the heart of Oregon wine country. The food is to die for - we had the $30 prix fixé menu and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We didn’t know what to expect and were lucky to get a reservation. The restaurant was full of local people from nearby wineries and other close areas. We had salad and soup and then beef bourguignonne. A. Were wonderful. And then Creme Brulee flavored with cardamon and other spices. The total bill was $72 for 2 including tip. We will return. The decor was just like a french bistro hence the name.
Have been here a few times and always enjoy it. Worth the drive to Carlton.
Excellent food and service, and very reasonable prices.
Fabulous evening with amazing food and wine. Henri pays special attention to his guests which makes for a memorable experience!
Food was average, but reasonably priced. The owner kept pushing us to order wine with the meal.
Although a destination for those who live in Portland, it is easy enough to make a day of it in Carlton with all its tasting rooms or in the nearby vineyards. End with a dinner at Cuvee. Really well priced, delicious prix fixe.
We celebrated our friend's birthday at Cuvee over the weekend. The servers were wonderful, attentive, funny, and kind. We may have been a little loud for the others in the restaurant as most of the other tables were intimate two tops. Great place for a date night or special occasion. Unfortunately, there were three of us that had an upset stomach later that night after our meal. If not for that, I would have awarded Cuvee a 5 star.
All around excellent. Wonderful dining experience.
Best place we ate in Carlton. Excellent service and excellent value.
We enjoy the wait staff as well as the food. We know we can get a great meal at a reasonable price along with a stellar wine selection. Their soups and salads are creative and any vegetable coming out of the kitchen is impeccable prepared. Entrees are well cooked but I must admit to loving their desserts best.
We have stopped here: after wine tasting in the area, after showing out-of-towners our part of Oregon, have brought a large family group, and have come for a quiet dinner for two. And we are never dissapointed and always delighted with the menu choices, the artful and delicious meals, the helpful friendly service, the recommended wine pairing, and the way we're made to feel personally welcome and cared for.
