Cutters Crabhouse Ratings and Reviews
Was a bit disappointed in the food. Had crab stuffed prawns with risotto. The worst risotto I've had in any restaurant, ever. It seemed to be just regular white rice overcooked with some vegetables. The shrimp was a bit dry and seemed overcooked. Overall, while the location and views were great, the quality of the food wasn't what I expected. Not sure I'd return.
we went for dinner before the Theater. We waited for nearly an hour for our food and when it arrived it was tasty but not hot we didn't receive any bread or adequate attention during the long wait. we had to have them box up our food after a few bites and leave to make our show. Our waiter sent over the manager and he was apologetic, but offered no compensation. Not sure we will go back.
One of the reasons we eat here every time we visit Seattle is that the crab cakes are GREAT and normally the service is very good. For some reason the server brought our salads with the appetizer and then the table was very crowded with plates. Also, when asked for a booth (there were 5 open) the hostess was not very accommodating.
We decided to visit Seattle to see our son for Thanksgiving. A week in advance we were lucky to get reservations at Cutters. The Thanksgiving Turkey dinner with all the trimmings was absolutely wonderful, the flavors were incredible, I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Attended the restaurant for Thanksgiving. The clam chowder & salad were tasty. Our main course steak oscar was mediocre. The cut of meat was not of high quality. The dessert was terrible. The creme brulee was runny & not cooked. The pumpkin cheesecake was the worst cheesecake I have ever eaten. The pumpkin pie was adequate. This is the first unpleasant experience that I have had at this restaurant. The service was good. The restaurant was over the top busy that evening.
My family enjoys coming here for Thanksgiving Brunch. The menu includes a traditional Turkey dinner but also offers a variety of other choices including steak, pasta and seafood dishes. The prices are very reasonable. The staff has always been very nice and efficient.
We do have to say very strong drinks that were delicious. Food was pretty good, service was good but more casual than then ambience. There were lots of interesting things happening in the restaurant that night. Found it interesting that the white table clots were covered with paper , Made it feel a little cheap which did not match the price tag
The clam chowder was very disappointing. I dined there for lunch a few months ago and it was the best clam chowder. There were a lot of clams, the potatoes were cubed individually, and the taste was perfect. We went for dinner and it was obvious that the chowder sat in a heated pot all day since all the potatoes melted and were hardly any clams. It looked and tasted like paste -- very disappointing.
This restaurant did not meet our expectations. When we walked in the host was having a tizzy fit because I have a patron who change seats and he was inappropriate with his language. The food was really not good friends were over cooked red snapper was completely dry. Service was very very slow and inattentive. One of the low points of our trip.
The view of the Puget Sound was spectacular and a great way to spend the evening with a good friend. Thumbs down for the clam chowder. It tasted a day old and was luke warm. The crab combo was delicious as well as their kale salad.
Food was great, service was great, I had a wonderful experience except for the group of loud drunk women who were seated next to us. One of them disappeared for a half hour and her friends were loudly talking about how she was puking in the bathroom. This was a lunch reservation and these women were smashed and yelling and still ordering drinks.
Service was friendly but didn’t substitute or had to be asked twice for items requested. Crab legs were thin and over cooked, fried fish and chips were soggy, and everything had garlic in it, not just the items listed as such on the menu. For a waterfront restaurant experience with visiting relatives I’ll go to Ivar’s next time.
