Hank was wonderful. Food was delicious. View impeccable.
Lovely celebration in the city.
I am probably not the right person to review this venue. I am not a seafood person, so the menu is limited for me. For a starter, we shared a crab cake. It was perfect...fully cooked , while staying moist, w/a pleasant flavor.
After that, I decided to eat a lighter fare, so I ordered the soup of the day and a side salad. The chicken and rice soup, was more like a bowl of rice topped with some chicken soup. I think the excess rice was meant to cover for the excess salt. Turning to the salad for the remainder of my meal, the ingredients were fresh, although I would have liked more than what appeared to be 1 strawberry, cut up.
Service great. Food on the bland side.
Had a great view near the window. Very nice atmosphere. The food was salty and I felt the food was not a good value. Very expensive for what you get. Service was good.
Waiter was great but the food was not up to our expectation. We have had great food in the past. The plate of 6 oysters was the best part, the steak was over cooked and tuff and the crab cake was mixed with a sauce that did not work together and the fries with the fish and chips had half of them warm and the other half was cold. We like cutters but just not this time.
we would go to cutters again. A little heavy on some of the sauces,( around the crab cake and on the sushi) We went on a Sunday brunch, pre Theater
Food was not that good. Chowder was particularly bad. Lavender cocktail very good.
This is my second experience with Cutter’s, as usual I was overly impressed with the overall experience. I was greeted by our server Adam C. He was not only knowledgeable but also was able to select my wives entreé and impress her. My chicken was flavorful and moist. My wives stuffed prawns were very tasty and filing. I would recommend this spot for any occasion on an adult level.
This restaurant has one of the best water views in Seattle, its near Pike market so is a fun place to visit before you dine. Last time we were there we watched an eagle grab a salmon out of the bay and fly away with it! Food is excellent and the wait staff attentive without being intrusive. That to my way of thinking takes some training so one of my favorites when we visit Seattle
The friendly seating staff upgraded our table to sit right next to the window so we could better take in the spectacular waterfront view. Our waiter was extremely engaging and knowledgeable about everything on their menu. He recommended a signature martini that was hands down the best we'd ever had. He also knew the right times to interject a comment throughout the meal and the right time to just whisk away a dish without interrupting our conversation. The bartender is an absolute artist with alcohol! Our dinners were delectable with fresh salmon and trout and side dishes to die for. The chef's treatment of each part of the dishes was delicious.
We went to Cutter's before seeing Hamilton. The entire staff was very attentive to the fact that we were on a timeline but we never felt rushed. Our every whim was catered to. Nice job, Cutter's! We will definitely be back and I've already recommended this 3 star restaurant to friends.
Thank you! That was a lovely dinner. My hubby and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, great service and great food.
Ambience, Food and Service was great. Ask for Aaron.
We were seated right away in a nice window seat. We had a very nice and collegial waiter who seemed fairly familiar with the menu but got the coho and the king salmon mixed up. The food was fine, the price we felt was a little expensive but you know, the views were great, my companions and I had a great time, the wine that we got was very good and if you had a special out of town guest and wanted to have a view, this place could fill the bill. I think the selection was good.
Calamari was mostly vegetables, very little squid. Meat in Jambalaya was over cooked.
Great service, good wine. Probably won’t go back. Not impressed.
Beautiful view out the window. The food was good but pricey for what you get. Our server seemed distracted - very few people there and she never came back to refill our drinks or ask if we wanted another glass of wine. I'd go back for the view alone.
All four of us have been to Cutters numerous times. We normally love everything from service to dessert. This time, we don't know what happened. Our server seemed nervous and/or unsure at each encounter (maybe they are new?). That kind of set the mood of how everything went. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Both arrived and we asked for some additional condiments for the apps and they didnt come until dinner arrived. We felt the server had forgotten about us until then.
The restaurant was pretty busy (busier times than we usually come in) and the food took longer than normal (for us) to come out. I would say it was the amount of people, however the table next to us also noticed the time it was taking to get their food. The waiter apologized about their wait.
The food was good, not great this time for me and my partner. He had a pork chop and said it was really lacking something. I had a jumbalaya which was pretty good, but was missing a kick or hint of something to make it great. The food from the other two dining with us was also good, but nothing to write home about.
Me and my partner didn't order and dessert, but the others did and got the key lime pie. We all love key lime pie and that was probably the star of the experience. Which is a great experience to have, but we were at one of oir favorite seafood restaurants, not dessert bar.
Overall, we were disappointed with most of this visit, and I am sure we will try it again and make future decisions based on that.
We tried this for the first time - getting to know our new neighborhood. We will be regular diners here. Absolutely delicious & beautiful food. The front desk gentleman was so welcoming and our waiter Hank was outstanding! Delightful experience! Don't miss it!
Great food , awesome view and company
We were in town on vacation and my husband really wanted crab. I’m pregnant so I can’t eat a plateful of seafood, but we checked the menu ahead of time and made sure there was steak on the menu for me. My husband started with oysters which he said were wonderful and then had the crab sampler plate. He was happy with his meal. I ordered filet mignon with a crab topping. The crab and sauce were delicious. My steak on the other hand was not edible. It was dry, very chewy, and difficult to swallow. I would have liked to tell our waiter and give him an opportunity to correct the issue, but we didn’t see him again after he took our order. Someone else brought our food and not once did anyone check to see how we liked it. Additionally, I had run out of water and there was no one to ask for more. My husband ended up giving me his as he had ordered a beer as well. Overall, the experience was irritating. When the waiter finally came over after my husband had finished all of his food, I was able to tell him about the steak. He offered to get me something else, but by that time it was too late.
My prawns were so over cooked I couldn’t eat them.
While in Seattle my wife and I dined at Cutter's Crabhouse specifically for their crab entrees. We made a reservation and were seated within five minutes of arriving at the restaurant, near the window with a view of the bay. It took a couple of minutes for our server to make their way to our table and get our drink order, then proceeded to take ten minutes to bring our drinks. We decided to try the spinach-artichoke dip with Dungeness crab, which was excellent. For our entrees, my wife ordered the crab trio, which consisted of king, snow and Dungeness crab, while I had the king crab. The food was fresh and wonderful and were immediately happy with our food. The manager of the restaurant came by our table and was very nice and engaging, she brought us some chocolate covered strawberries that they had from their Valentine's special the night before. While the food and ambiance of the restaurant were wonderful, the attentiveness of our server was lacking. There were too many times that we had to ask the server for a different section for drink refills, butter for the bread (that never arrived) and to get the bill at the end of the meal. Again, the food was wonderful and the view was great.
It was lovely and the crab was to die for!!! And creme brûlée!! Best service I’ve ever had
Wonderful venue. Food was spectacular and tasty! Would come again.
There were not many choices on the menu. My friend ordered the medallions and they were so overlooked she couldn't eat them. The menu I looked at when I ordered was way different from when I had to order. It was Valentine's so they basically had a very limited selection. We wanted seafood but for this evening would have had been better off going to a steakhouse. Our drinks arrived half way between the appetizer but only after we reminded our server. This was a very expensive evening and we received little in return.
Service was awesome and food was great
We were the first diners on Valentines Day and the wait staff was still preparing tables. they switched out all of the clear candles with red except ours. Then another server went around sprinkling flower petals on the tables except ours. Then they forgot our drinks. Then they forgot the olives for the martini. Then later the manager went around to the tables around us greeting the guests and asking them how they enjoyed their meals but he didnt stop at iur table.
The food was good. I had the crab stuffed prawns. However, there was minimal crab on top the prawns and I felt the prawn shell could have been removed before serving. It was hard to scrape the meat off the shell. View was great! We requested a window but they said they were not available. However, two window tables remained empty the whole time we dined.
Lovely experience at the bar watching some 2018 Olympics opening ceremony and some crab legs and oysters. One of my favorite go to place.
Poor service. Sent pasta back too spicy as a marinara sauce . Presented again with a ton of cayenne peppers. Not sure done on purpose. Offered to take off bill and that’s it. What a rip
We had excellent service and food at Cutters Crabhouse last week. Great chowder with applewood smoked bacon, traditional wedge salad was yummy, succulent crab, fabulous fettucine with a creamy red sauce and prawns, and tasty sourdough bread (at no charge!). Our server was attentive and efficient. Good wines as well. Of course the water view is always spectacular! Great time!
Had a great dinner with clients on Thursday. Adam, our server, was outstanding. The scallops were delish and pared with some tasty squash. The view is the best!
We loved our experience at Cutters. We both have been there several times over the years & noticed a few changes. The restaurant was empty when we arrived & that surprised us. The prices went up (normal over the years) but the amount of food & quality decreased. The scallops were few & SMALL. Very disappointing.
Cutter’s has a stunning view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. One of the best in the city.
Great food for happy hr
The food itself was hit or miss.
The service was abysmal to the point where we had to get up to get our own drinks.
Food was good. Service was OK. Waited almost 15 minutes for a table with a reservation, server was a bit abrupt and forgot a couple of things. A couple of time the server taking care of the next table talked so loudly that my party literally had to wait for him to leave to be able to hear each other. Prices seemed reasonable for downtown Seattle. The view is great. It's a good option for lunch or dinner if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Cutter's.
The crab dip tasted very fishy.
The crab cake was poor. It was overwhelmed by too many other ingredients. The waiter noticed by distaste and did not charge us for it.
My husbands meal was good, he got the halibut and chips.
The cheese curds were great.
It was disappointing that the best food we had was fried.
The hostesses were overwhelmed... we arrived 30 mins early to our reservation. They asked us to sit in the waiting area. We waited for 40 mins and then at 6:10 I asked if we could be seated. They gave me a poor excuse as to why others had to be seated before us. Considering it was a Saturday night at 6:00 pm. They should have been better prepared for the people coming in and frankly more accommodating.
I took my boyfriend out for a birthday dinner. We were greeted right away when entering the building. Hostess was nice, but had to double check if our table was ready for a reservation. Had to wait in the lobby until we got sat down at our table. Waiter was Hank and very helpful. Food was delicious! Disappointed because my boyfriends food was not cooked how he liked it. He ordered the filet Oscar medium but came out looking like medium rare. Had to wait even longer for the food to cook some more in the kitchen. Overall a great experience but a little disappointed that his steak was undercooked.
