Since it’s restaurant week/month, we decided to take advantage of the deals and booked at cutters. The waitstaff seemed a little put off that we asked for the restaurant week menu as they didn’t offer it or even mentioned it when he was going over what they had available. My friend ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes entree. It didn’t come with mashed potatoes, they substituted with fingerling potatoes which would have been fine if they had mentioned that when the food was brought out. We finally flag our waiter down and asked about the mashed potatoes, inquiring if they had run out. But the response was “the first batch was really runny so he’s making a special batch just for you”. Which was somewhat condescending and again they seemed put off that we would ask. While this isn’t the most expensive restaurant, it’s still pricey especially for the service we got. It may have just been a bad night but honestly it was my first time there and I have to say I won’t be back, even for the restaurant week prices.
We loved our server and the amazing food. They thoughtfully designed a safe pathway for people to get to/from tables with social distancing, and felt very spaced from the other tables in our area.
Great food. Great view
We went there over a year ago and the food and service were fantastic. This time, the food was awful. The chicken was dry and tasteless and the fish and chips looked like they came from Long John Silvers or a school cafeteria. It was an utter joke for the amount of money we paid.
As for service, we sat with empty appetizer plays at our table for a good 16 minutes. Servers and bussers walked past us multiple times and nothing.
I am still horrified that I paid almost $100 for one of the worst meals in all of Seattle. Total tourist trap.
There was an error with the ticketing system (I think that is what prints the orders?) Food took longer than expected but staff remained friendly and brought extra bread and really stepped up to let us know they were sorry and that they value our time and patronage,
Service was very slow. Took an hour to get entree. Fish and chips were greasy and fries were stale. Nice view, that's all
Great atmosphere in the dining room with the water views. Service was fantastic. Ordered the halibut special - tasted good, but slightly overcooked and dry. Plate came with a healthy side of vegetables.
Our server was a new guy named Josh and he was just great! Complementary, went out of his way to be helpful, very sociable, and just downright polite!
The atmosphere is amazing with a great view of the water from anywhere in the restaurant. Service was fantastic. Employees were great and appeared to enjoy their jobs which makes for an even greater experience.
My husband and I went on our anniversary lunch here 4/3/21. I flew for San Diego, CA and he’s in the Navy stationed in Portland, OR.
I made a reservation online but came in 45mins early. They were very nice and gave us a table by the bar where we can order drinks while waiting for our table which only took 15mins of waiting time, considering we were early.
Our server, Ethan, was very nice and has a great customer service. He made sure we’re comfortable and explained the specials and also checked on allergies to make sure we’re good.
The food was good, one of our appetizer was the crab and artichoke dip — it was amazing! I would definitely come back if I’m around the area again.
We went for lunch on 4/3 and were seated very promptly. They were very accommodating and offered suggestions for those of us with dietary requests. Service was great and everyone who worked there wore masks and very mindful of personal space when serving our dishes. We sat at window table and had a beautiful view of the Sound. It's a great place to impress out-of-towner friends for good food, ambience and experience. We ended up dining for 3 hours and never felt rushed.
Limited menu and dated/worn. Staff and service were good
This was disappointing on a few levels. Only 3 of their 8 entrees featured crab. For a crabhouse, this was a poor showing, but the real kicker was the type of entrees. One was clearly their crab and artichoke dip from the appetizer menu on a slice of bread called an open faced sandwich. Extremely rich and overloaded with mayonnaise with precious little crab. The other one was a crab sampler with 3 types of crab, one of which had run out. The third was a rich cream pasta dish that was off the choices if you do any carb watching at all. I had the fish and chips that was actually quite good which is why it got 3 stars instead of 2. However, I went to a crabhouse for some crab and I ordered fish because of the limited choices and availability.
Excellent view. The steak was great and cooked perfectly. Crab sampler was good, king crab claw was huge and hard to crack with the small utensil provided. Only complaint was having to ask for bread and drinks after waiter had visited the table twice already. We will hope that they’re just working out the kinks just getting back into indoor dining. Overall a great experience and look forward to trying more of their food after they open up the whole menu when this Covid settles down.
Had a great time at Cutters- thank you for being flexible with us and our seating preference. Can’t wait to come back and visit post COVID!
We had a lovely experience, with the view and manager being the best part. Service started off strong, but lacked throughout. Food was good, nothing spectacular.
Menu was lame. And their crab sandwich was not a crab meat cake like most places. It was bread with crab and artichoke dip slapped on it. I'm glad I asked before ordering.
The salmon was done perfectly as were the vegetables. But one great dish does not an outstanding menu make.
Expensive but worth it. Food was memorable. I had the pear blue cheese salad and the crab trio
Very nice atmosphere, friendly waitress, good entrees!
Dungeness crabs, pasta, everything was good! What you’d expect for a fine dining experience!
Great food and great service
Service sort of disappeared as the meal progressed
Server seemed like she wanted to go home but the food was amazing!
Excellent service, we all had seafood which was cooked perfectly, and the crab was fantastic.
Cute and simple. The food was good. The service was great!
Wonderful view and friendly service. Such a great spot next to Pike Place Market.
The food was delicious but the sunset view at dinner was amazing. The restaurant followed all COVID procedures. They currently have a limited menu so I would suggest callling to see if they are serving your favorite dish before going.
the view was amazing. Dinner was delicious. Will be back.
Outstanding service! They made the best of COVID protocols and we had a lovely mother-n-son dinner. Not sure why the clam chowder tasted terrible to both of us, but the 3-kinds of crab huge sampler made up for it!
Made reservations for Valentines Day. I was on time but there was a bunch of people standing next to me who also had reservations. After 35 minutes waiting in a small cold dark area during covid my date and I were uncomfortable. The host simply said that the people before us were late and were taking too much time dining and he had been trying to get them to leave the restaurant so others could eat. Pretty much ruined the carefully planned out evening. I will never return to this restaurant. The restaurant vibe was totally off. Not romantic. You would think since the industry is really struggling dude to the pandemic that we would’ve been given some champagne while we waited. Or a friendly check in from a host letting us know how things were progressing. A free appetizer. Maybe put some extra seats out so we could all spread out social distance and wait in comfort. Offer a glass of water. Nothing. I walked out.
Amazing food and our waitress was amazing! Whitney was fantastic! Only thing be aware the man checking in for your reservation was incredibly rude and dismissive and we waited 20 min past our reservation since he ignored me twice on trying to check in!
It was FREEZING in the restaurant so I kept my jacket on the entire time and my husband was cold the entire time, his food came out cold while mine was warm so they didn’t plant that out too well, the waiter only stopped by once besides to ask what we wanted for dinner/drop it off to us, but the view was nice. It was expensive for the experience we had.
fantastic food and awesome service, will be back to try different dishes
Spent $30 for an Uber to get to the restaurant, just to show up to locked doors and no lights. While I understand the snow was a hassle for everyone, not informing your reservation holders that the restaurant would be closed is absurd, especially after requiring a credit card deposit to make the reservation.
Losing money on the Uber to get there, then having to wait in the snow for a long time waiting for another to get us when so few were available (and pay for it yet again), really just seals the deal on this one.
Happy Valentine's Day, Cutters.
they took my reservation but were closed :( I drove all the way from bellevue
I got called the previous day regarding our reservation but then the following day they were closed. I wasn't called or given any warning.
Good steaks as well as seafood. Great location with nice view of the bay in back.
Great service
My husband and I were there on our recent honeymoon and had the crab sampler. It was the best crab we have ever eaten!
We had a Great time!! The gentleman that seated us is great at his position. He accomidated us immediately with seating even though we were early for our reservation.
