I took my girlfriend here to celebrate our first year of dating. They took several steps to make sure our experience was enjoyable and special. I am very impressed with their service mindset to make sure every customer felt cared for. Great view and great food too!

This was a special evening for my husband's birthday dinner. We hadn't been to the restaurant in several years and when I asked him where he wanted to go, he said let's try "Cusp" again. Dennis was our server and we remembered him from many years ago when we first dined here. We were pleasantly surprised to see Dennis is still there. What a great guy! Service was impeccable and food was delicious! Better than we remember from last time dining here. We learned there is a new Head Chef (Ingrid Funes) and she stopped by our table to ask how things were. My husband had the scallops and I the Sea Bass. Everything was prepared and seasoned perfectly and as a foodie these comments do not come easily. We were pleasantly reminded that we love this restaurant and will be back very soon!

Great dinner. The chicken curry special was exceptional. Wine was amazing value - Cakebread Chardonnay for $57/bottle - I think it was incorrectly priced!!

Great place to go before going to the La Jolla Playhouse.

Our Tradition for Virgo Birthdays. We generally come for sunset dinner, tho the Brunch was Yummy and Fun. Great celebration for my Mom's 90th Birthday. Juan took extra good care of her!

This has become one of my favorite places to take visiting co-workers. The servers aren’t stuffy, the sunset views are breathtaking, the food, drinks, and wine are great. What more can you ask for? I’ve probably been 3-4 times because I know it’ll impress my co-workers from the east coast. Plus, it’s not too far from our Sorrento Valley office and we don’t have to go all the way into La Jolla, which I dread doing during rush hour. I’ll keep bringing them here and one day I’ll bring my husband when I can actually afford to pay on my own and not through my company. It’s pricey for a reason. Maybe for our anniversary next year?

Beautiful views, really cool decor, great ambience. Watch the check, as so many restaurants do, they overcharged for the glass of wine I ordered. I find it is NEVER in the customer's favor so always watch your check. It was only for a few dollars but it's the principal. They corrected the issue saying there was a misprint on the wine list, but again, those mistakes seem to happen often in my experience and never in customer's favor.

Had the seafood pasta dish, which was perfect. My husband had the salmon with farro and veggies which he loved. Sunset was amazing and wine selection good, my only negative experience was the "deconstructed pavlova " which was nothing like a pavlova at all
Super sweet lemony pudding with berries and a sprinkle of some kind of dry thing they called meringue no whipped cream, which might have salvaged it?
So, the desert was a bust but I simply wouldn't order that, and I certainly would return

First time to Cusp for restaurant week.. Sunset view of La Jolla Shore is very nice. Couples tables line the windows for front row viewing. Good for an anniversary or special meal but is a pretty loud place. Food was excellent and well prepared. Would make a return trip with friends

The view was spectacular. We were fortunate to arrive just in time for sunset. The servers were friendly and informative.

We had the 3-course Restaurant Week menu, which had a lot of choices. They did forget the ice cream on one of the desserts - but all the food was delicious.

Chef Ingrid Funes has created a superb menu that rivals a Michelin star restaurant. The food was so great on Thursday night, that we went back on Friday to try other entrees. Both nights were awesome. The sunset view on the eleventh floor was incredible. Cusp is a great jewel of a restaurant with great food, a beautiful view from any table, and excellent service. The photo was Friday's special with a rich mole inspired by Chef Funes' Salvadorian influence. We have enjoyed the cuisine of Heinz Beck in Rome and commend Chef Funes for impressing us with her talents. Bon appétit!

Oh the view and sunset were memorable!!!We loved the unique foods and flavors. The cerviche was wonderful. That halibut special was cooked to perfection. The chef Ingrid came by our table to greet us which was special. Service was attentative.
Only complaint is we had a reservation through open table that offered 1000 points but we received the regular 100.

I just happened to find this through Open Table; we went here after a meeting but had made reservations prior to going.
The food was outstanding starting with the clam chowder (to die for), fresh swordfish special, brussels sprouts and the apricot glazed cauliflower were all absolutely yummy. My husband also said his dirty martini was the best he's ever had.

This restaurant experience was just absolutely amazing. I could not find one thing to complain about. The staff was just exceptional and so welcoming. The manager and chef came out to greet us and the waitress (Dawn) was just outstanding. The food came in great portions, which I was delighted to see. Overall, a 10/10 experience. A must go to in San Diego.

Ok, so... the food was ok. Nothing special. Main issues were:

- No Hostess at the desk to greet and check us in. Stood around for a good 6-7 minutes with other people in line also waiting.

- Waitress said it was her first night at work. Very pleasant person, but we felt like she had nothing else to do. She kept coming back to our table, literally, what felt like every bite we had. Maybe extra training needed to give guests "space", and let us enjoy our meals.

- Location of the 2 Top tables at the window felt like we'd been banished to the naughty corner. Views overlooking the Gas Station and Parking Lots may be ok, but maybe a full sized table would make the feel of the experience feel better.

The venue, food and service was great. The only complaint I have is that the wine list is very thin and large jumps from one wine of the same style to the next priced wine. In some cases a red cost $34 and then the next red of the same style cost 94. Also, only two or three of the same varietal to chose from.

Good food but not really a fine dining restaurant. More of a happy hour place . It was typical San Diego Asian meets Mexican fusion. Good but I'm over it. Restaurant felt run down. Our server was great. As usual no one dresses to impress either.
