If practise makes perfect, then the curries at Curry Mahal deserve an A+. Located on the Station Road in Sidcup, Curry Mahal restaurant has been serving up superb Indian cuisine since 1968, and the recently refurbished dining room is always popular with regulars and local curry connoisseurs. With its contemporary décor, stylish artworks and buzzy atmosphere, Curry Mahal is family-friendly and has a menu to please even the fussiest food lovers. We highly recommend the Mysore Chilli Chicken – lightly buttered chicken cubes tossed with green chillies and yoghurt; the Tamarind Duck served with fresh spinach leaves; and the Birballi Lamb Chops marinated with fresh herbs and barbecued in the tandoori oven with pilau rice.

We didn’t get as far as being able to rate the food on this occasion, which we know is very good from past visits. No table available. They asked if we booked via Open Table, which I confirmed. Waiter walked off without a word not to return. We left after 10 minutes!

Been here many times. Always busy and good atmosphere. Service always attentive and food was as good as it always is. One of the best Indian restaurants in an area where this is plenty of competition.

Another great meal at the Mahal, only spoiled by the very loud group of ten young woman on the table next to us so conversation was impossible. Can't fault the quality of the food or service though. Just won't book for a Friday night again.

Unfortunately did not enjoy this experience this time. Wine not chilled . Bland food 🥘 and poor service . Never used to be like this. Has to improve.

The service was pretty bland and yhe food dissappointing as opposed to a previous visit - the waiter was pretty rude - taking away some main course dinnet plates prior to the whole party of four finishing their meal.

Great curry restaurant with extensive menu and gave our party a free chicken dish which was delicious. Friendly helpful staff would go again

The husband decided to whisk me off for dinner last minute on Friday so we booked about an hour before we were due to eat. On arrival the restaurant was very busy and there was a slight wait for our table but that was all okay as we were offered a drink while we waited. To be honest this is our favourite Indian restaurant to eat it, the service is outstanding and the staff can't do enough for you! Although it was rather busy and it was a bit of a struggle to sometimes hear what we were saying to each other I still cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
