The Hostess and our Waitress were most welcoming and accommodating, so it was a good choice. Likewise, noise level allowed us all to participate in conversation and discussion. Three of us had the Grilled Cheese with Dungeness Crab accompanied by a small bowl of tomato soup. Our only negative comment was that the soup, while tasty, was barely lukewarm when it was served, and cold by the time we were halfway through lunch. Other than that, everyone enjoyed lunch and Cathy did a superb job of keeping drinks refreshed.

Beautiful afternoon on the terrace and the food was delicious ! Excellent fish sandwich and other fish main courses and a delicious cessation salad with grilled tuna .
Excellent dessert of creme brûlée with an accompanying pastry .
Bartender (Rudy) is great.
Awesome drinks, very well prepared.
Bay views are great from the patio that has umbrellas and outdoor heaters. Dinner or lunch is served inside or out on the patio.
Food is tasty and the service from Oscar was exceptional.
Note; a must have is the Burger and fries.

Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating --excellent service; The food was not very good: the entree had a few pieces of overcooked duck in a bland bean soup; The salad was mostly endive with a tiny bit of cheese and a few very slim slices of persimmon; The flan was a very small portion --with limited flavor. The menu mentioned wine --one assumed it came with the dinner (a bit confusing). Our bill for three people was $179.00--too high for the dinner we received. The view of the bay was exquisite --and I know that this was Christmas Eve --but the food should have been much better. Because of the ambience we had a lovely time. Please improve your menu for next year. Thank you!
Restaurant was very loud and full of kids running around. I chose this place for a nice dinner on the waterfront. We reserved a table outside and were seated no where near the waterfront. We could hardly hear ourselves due to all the kids running around and their parents standing in groups chatting near our table. Wasn't what I expected.
Lovely, leisurely Thanksgiving buffet with seating on the patio. Service was excellent.

Guests of mine ordered ribeye steak specials and raved about them. Vegetables that accompanied the steaks were unique and delicious.

Arrived on the west coast from NYC in a strom around 8PM on a Friday evening> despite having a reservation for 6, and when we arrivfed I was asked "are you John?" There was not a table for 6 set up. After much discussion with the hostess and the wait staff, we lere led to two adjoining booths for four. They actually wanted us to sit at two different tables. After much head scratching and staring they finally pushed two tables together and were were seated. Very dark, extremely low level of lighting made ti hard to read the menus. Food average, nothing special same for the service.
The staff were very polite and attentive; the view was amazing; the menu was creative without being pretentious; best of all the food was scrumptuous. Patio dining is a bit chilly this time of year, but outdoor heaters kept it cozy _ highly recommend.

Dinner was on the pier to watch the Christmas Parade of Boats. Rib Eye was great, but served lukewarm. Vegetables were tasteless. We did like the tamale, though.
Baja wine was forgettable.

WE pop in for Brunch from time to time.. our favorite thing, the made to order breakfast bar and squeeze your own juice. These fun interactive items mixed with the smiles from staff is always welcoming for us, hence the repeat visits!!!

Marriott Coronado Current provided an array of delicacies for Thanksgiving. The Chef and staff made our day special. Salad choices included: shaved brussel sprouts, dried cranberries, pears, roasted beets, and lettuce. Soups: Butternut Squash and Apple & Potato Leek. Seafood Bar: Morro Bay Oysters, Poached white Mexican Prawns, Salmon Tartar, and Baja Style Ceviche. The Entrees provided favorites for everyone: At the Carving Stations: Turkey Breast, Gravy and Prime Rib, Jus. Then - Cedar Roasted Salmon, Baja Grouper, Orecchiette Pasta, and Italian sausage. Sides included: mashed potatoes, chorizo stuffing, glazed sweet potatoes, creamed kale, and cranberry sauce. The meal was topped off with a Harvest Dessert selection: pumpkin pie, cheesecake, pumpkin spice muffins, and ... The Wait Staff is award winning, exhibiting such attention to details that they made our holiday truly memorable. We were impressed with Marco, Likaa, Cathi, and Oscar.
The cityscape of San Diego is your backdrop, the food is healthy and fresh and they make a killer Bloody Mary! It's a great place to wile away two hours on a Saturday afternoon.

We were here last year and had a great time. This year the service was terrible. It took two hours for dinner with just an appetizer and entree. Waiter never checked to see if one of our party wanted another glass of wine. Gave us the bill without a pen to write in the credit card signature , tip etc. Food came cold. It's sad as the venue is beautiful but it was like someone else took over the restaurant.
The happy hour was wonderful. Server was good but there weren't enough of them. I am a local who went to lunch at Peohes the day before. Their service was awful. Dingy hostesses who made all the people wait for tables on the patio. They weren't busy & many empty tables. Their food was terrible! The view was blocked by a white fence. You guys have them beat 100 times over for food & ambiance. They service just needs to step up and you have a gem.
I HAD TO WAIT 10 MINUTES FOR A TABLE, EVEN THOUGH I HAD A RESERVATION. I HAD TO ASK THREE DIFFERENT WAITERS FOR COFFEE. THE SERVICE IS INCREDIBLY SLOW, THE STAFF IS OVERWELMED, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ONLY ABOUT AT 50 PERCENT CAPACITY. THE FOOD WAS OK. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa provides a perfect vacation setting. The Current Restaurant provides an expansive view of the sailboats and ships sailing through San Diego Bay.
For dinner, we selected the Whole-Grain Meal Bowls filled with Kamut Wheat, Red and Wild Rice, Suzie's Farm Vegetables, Black Beans and Avocado. For protein, we had a choice of Flat Iron Steak, Grilled Ono, Roasted Chicken Breast, or Crispy Hodo Soy Tofu. We chose the Roasted Chicken Breast, which made a tasty and nutritious meal.
The service was excellent with regular refilling of beverages.
After a busy day of travel, we decided on a favorite. We chose the Chef's Burger, which is made with delicious Angus Beef, topped with white cheddar, bacon-onion jam, arugula, and aioli on a large, freshly-baked pretzel bun. It was complimented by a generous portion of sweet potato fries.
The service was impeccable. Every member of the staff made us feel welcome. The view of San Diego Bay from the restaurant was spectacular making for a perfect evening.
Subpar breakfast buffet. Took 37 minutes to get eggs.
The dining experience at Current is amazing! My wife, 2 kids, and I love making the drive across the bridge to Coronado for dinner, a stroll on the beach, fishing, AND a great meal in here.
We recently took the trip to enjoy Mother's Day breakfast on the beautiful San Diego bay, the ambiance and downtown view from the patio turns a casual breakfast into an experience for a queen. My kids love the variety of fresh and healthy options, my wife and I enjoyed the fresh omelets and waffles. Yum!
The service at Current is beyond outstanding. Wow, they are so friendly and are attentive to your every need. The general manager and manager were extremely nice, they stopped by several times to check on each table during a hectic breakfast rush. Thank you for making our Mother's day so special.
We will be coming back many more times this summer to enjoy the best of everything Current has to offer!
A wonderful, relaxing find! Comfy seats and yummy food - the sea bass was divine! Easy access to a walking trail. Our group went for Sunday lunch on a gorgeous March day and I imagine it's lovely at night with sparkly lights on the shore!
The views and the place are spectacular. We always enjoy out time at the Coronado Island Marriott. A fine place to meet and dine with friends.

We were expecting a much better variety and quality for the p/p/p charged ($68 before taxes). It was an Ok Turkey, with and Ok Prime Rib, few OK salad choices, few Ok desserts... not worth it. I'm sorry. Did not like it will not recommend for Thanks Giving.
Current has a lovely patio with stellar views of San Diego. Comfortable chairs and well-spaced tables. The menu is small but very good. Our favorite is a meal bowl that has perfectly cooked grain, veggies, black beans and fresh avocado. You choose your protein, in our case seared Ono. This is our second visit and we will be back.
