Very good food with fabulous French bread. Reasonable and quiet do you can talk. Neighborhood spot and consistently excellent.
I have been a customer since New Years 1986 and still enjoy going there. It is small and intimate and good food at a reasonable price.
Love Curbside and go there regularly. Great food, wine list, Esvan is a friendly, professional waiter!
Ambiance très chaleureuse, excellente nourriture! Nous reviendrons pour un dîner ou même un brunch!
The pot roast was outstanding - juicy and tender. The risotto was so-so. The Rive Sud wine was tasty and reasonably priced. This is a nice place for meeting friends or a romantic dinner.
Small restaurant with very personal service. Food was very good.
Pot roast and chicken piccata outstanding.
Charming , quiet, and so reasonable.
My girlfriends and I had a lovely evening. We wanted a low key neighborhood place where we could chat over a good meal. Curbside fit the bill and more. My friends were charmed by the little slice of Paris. The menu had something for everyone and we all enjoyed our selections. Thank you Olivier.
Great little spot to catch up with friends or a weeknight date - the whole restaurant only seats about 25 people, so it's very cozy and charming. Food is good, nothing out-of-this-world good, but worth a try! Good wine list, very fair prices. Overall, good experience!
Food is always very good at Curbside and also reasonably priced.
Food was great!! Service was off as we hadn't finished our soup and the main courses came out. We told the server to wait and he said ok but our food would be cold! Will go back and have been going on and off for many years.
Took two friends from out of town, mainly chose Curbside for proximity to my house as it was a rainy day. Food, as always, is okay but nothing special. My caesar salad could have had fresher lettuce. But it's a nice atmosphere and I want them to stay in business for another forty years, so I will continue to eat here on a semi-regular basis.
Best French toast ever!
Omelets are good, too.
+fresh orange juice
The salmon in the sandwich was a tiny piece, half a piece on one side a sliver of a piece on the other half. But the was a huge bun! Next time I’ll just order something else.
Curbside never disappoints. The salmon filet was delicious and cooked to my exact specifications! A couple or small group can actually have a conversation, a rare plus in this day and age! Esvin is a wonderful waiter.
Old school, reasonably priced, sweet service. yummy food.
The food was ok, nothing remarkable but good food cooked and presented nicely. Could use a bit of ingenuity. I could see this as a local neighborhood “go-to” for those who want a break from cooking. The ambiance was cozy, romantic and intimate. Waiter was nice.
I asked for a quiet table away from other diners, and was seated at the ideal table! Pre-dinner drinks were lovely; delicious bread fresh out of the oven; and my dinner mate and I immediately chose the same entree- the chicken risotto. Yum! So good, with melted cheese through out. Although I've lived in SF since 1980, it was my first time at Curbside. I will certainly return!
Oliver was very accommodating and attentive. Our butter pear salad and steak frites were excellent along with the chocolat mousse. Could use some french background music as the atmosphere was almost “whisper like”. Would highly recommend. A real value play in the Fillmore District.
Curbside never disappoints. Esvin is a superb server, helpful, friendly, professional. Ribeye special was perfectly cooked.
The food is consistently good at Curbside with fairly generous portions.
Curbside never disappoints. If you are looking for casual French food, look no further. Everything on the menu is well-prepared and delicious. Wines are well-chosen and inexpensive. The lone server is very skilled at managing the entire room. Highly recommended to both locals and visitors.
We found this restaurant online. It was near a concert venue, so it was convenient for dinner after the concert ended around 6pm. The menu is modest in length, and on our visit was augmented by three evening specials. I ordered one of them, the lamb shanks, which were excellently tender with a rich wine reduction. My partner opted for the pot roast from the regular menu. It was just okay, a bit chewy. The Ancient Peaks Cabernet (Paso Robles) offered a pleasing accompaniment. We also shared a pear salad before the main courses; it was outstanding!
One disappointment was that the restaurant is described as a French-themed bistro, but there wasn't much on the menu that one would expect from that description --- no cassoulet, no coq au vin (an Indian chicken curry and Italian chicken picatta, instead!).
We ate here for dinner. The pot roast was flavorless and tough. The chicken piccata was tough as well. Service was slow and the waiter seemed disinterested in the quality of our meals.
Very cool place. Waiter as in one is amazing. The small kitchen staff knows what they are doing. Be patient. Enjoy the environment. Don't go if your in a hurry.
Lovely little spot we love:) great food charming service !
Service was excellent, but cannot make up for the food. Do not order the crab benedict. It looks like tuna salad and tasted fishy. Not an appropriate business lunch place, IMO.
Food is so delicious.
Service is great.
Comfortable place for any occasion.
Nice quiet place. Service and food is good.
I had Louie for a waiter. He was excellent.I had a mix up on a reservation, called him and he
"made it happen" the place was packed but no problem getting refills on tea.
this is a gem. Valerie Pinkert
We started with fried calamari and toasted mushroom raviolis, both very good. For entrees, we had chicken piccata over pasta, mediterranean chicken penne, and the salmon special. All were tasty. Desserts were blueberry cheesecake, vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, and vanilla creme brulee. We enjoyed them. Our two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc went well with all our dishes. One waiter covered the whole restaurant, so there were some waits to get his attention. The bill presented at the end was handwritten and illegible, but the total amount was in line with our estimate, so we paid it. Next time I'll ask for a readable check. It was a very pleasant evening. The food and ambiance were good enough to make us plan another visit very soon!
Great neighborhood spot. The service was excellent and hands on. The place is pretty small so good for a more intimate setting.
Great Food! Great Service! Family Favorite! Best to make a reservation as seats are limited.
I eat at Curbside frequently with an assortment of friends. We all like the food, which is always good. The wine prices are really affordable. It is a great place to sit and converse without having to shout to be heard.
Restaurant was filthy and wait staff didn't know how to use OpenTable reward certificates.
The food was good. The service had much to be desired. My mother-in-Law goes there for lunch and always raves about it and recommended it. The service was not as expected, the waiter did not seem like he wanted to be there. He tended to us in a timely manner, but lacked enthusiasm. I kept trying to be extra polite and smiley in hopes to get his spirits up. My champagne was excellent, apps were very good. Had a nice salad. My chicken Picatta was tasty, but not creamy very oily like the sauce was overcooked or prepared wrong. Creme Brûlée was mediocre. Besides that it's a cute little place and I would give it a second chance. Maybe it just was not a good night for them??
A small French themed restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. We were for lunch and enjoyed the onion soup and sandwiches which were made with an excellent bread.
We absolutely love brunch at Curbside. The food is good and everyone is very friendly. They are welcoming and accommodating for our baby.
Curbside is a lovely spot just off of Fillmore Street. Whether you are dining with a date pre or post show or entertaining your parents there is something on the menu for everyone’s liking.
