The building hosting The Cupping Room is a landmark building. It was the first building in SoHo and is more than 100 years old. The high tin ceilings, hard wood floors, pot-belly stove and exposed brick walls are all part of the original setting.
The Cupping Room was a home for artists and locals. Today it is still a neighborhood place where you can see the locals and the famous come together in our homey environment.

Very good food and service. Nice variety on the menu. Something for everyone!
Food was very good Ketchup was accidentally spilled all over my friend (pants, shoes, jacket, purse). Waiter was very apologetic and totally understand accidents happen. We were informed we would be compensated for the accident and never were, even after asking. Could understand if it was just a little spill, but not the case here.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent everything!
Nice for brunch. Delicious pancakes and the coffee was great too.
Enjoyed having a little space around the table
Very warm and friendly greeting. They gave us a choice of tables to choose from. We were served immediately. The coffee was delicious and hot. The choices of food was vast and all the entrees were tasty. Very good service.
We had a great time! Food was delicious and it was a great spot to bring kids. We will be back!
We were put into the corner right near the door for brunch and it was honestly freezing , we all kept our winter coats on since the door was opening so often. My friend accidentally spilled a drink on the table , we took care of it with napkins but it took the staff 15 mins to realize. The food was pretty good but disappointed by the atmosphere and the seating in the entryway.
Food was excellent but manager ruined our meal; he started cleaning our table before we were finished. Not a welcoming environment. We previously frequented this restaurant before, but we will not return after this most recent experience.
I had a party of 10 and they were very accommodating and handled a large party well.
Great hole in the wall spot for a cozy brunch. French toast was delicious! Love the tables by the window at the back. Will be back!
The restaurant itself is really nice.
Very New York style
We came in for breakfast on Saturday and the food was not acceptable at all for the price of the plate (40$)
Pork sausage was oily, not tasty and small. Waffles were dry and looked like frozen waffles.
Pancakes were nothing to rave about.
Poor quality food.
The eggs were the only good thing I had!
I dont recommend it at all if you come for a good breakfast
Service was ok.
I went to cupping room for breakfast and ate the egg with chicken sausage. I found the food to be tasty, good portion size and good value. I also had the coffee which I thought was good.
Overall a good experience and have re-visited for breakfast again.
Delicious and easy
Great spot for brunch. Cozy in the back. Wonderful service and fair prices.
I have been here on many occasions, and the staff never disappoints. This is truly one of my favorite places to go all throughout NYC.
Always good and reliable.
A solid brunch spot in SoHo. The food is very good- tried and tested classics like pancakes, eggs Benedict, and omelettes. Very cool ambiance though the front door can be hard to find (doors in both broadway and broome).
The food and beverages (coffee and tea) are always good. The service can be spotty but this time it was excellent. Still our favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in NYC.
Her good food and service
We had a lovely Christmas breakfast- the vibe was relaxing and the pancakes, waffles, hot chocolate and French toast were amazing, including gluten free waffles. The fruit was fresh and the entire experience was fantastic, thank you.
Awesome food and service!
Excellent service! Very friendly staff and accommodated our large group with kids special requests.
We always love returning to the Cupping Room. Good food in a great location, with a friendly and casual vibe. Love it for brunch.
A place we have been many times and always enjoy. Not sure what the deal was but my omelette was almost uneatable. They need to ramp up food quality a bit. Dynamic place. lots of energy, we'll give it another go.
FANTASTIC....until they tried to "shoo" us out!! hmmm. We spent a lot and they said "we need the table". Been going there for years. Sorry they wanted us out. I LOVE IT THERE but not sure now if we are going back.
The Cupping Room is a consistently good restaurant that I visit whenever I go to NYC. Great food plus live jazz trio entertainment and beautiful holiday decorations made for a wonderful Saturday night experience. Only disappointment was the lack of ginger syrup so we could not have Dark and Stormy, or Moscow Mule classic cocktails. The Natalie cocktail I substituted was delicious! I will be back.
I love this place. The food is excellent. We had an awful waitress. We had to ask numerous times to get water and coffee and she kept on forgetting to bring it.
Love going to the Cupping Room for brunch. Always a delightful experience -- this time we decided to try it our for Friday night dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to see there was a live band and dancing. Food was delicious -- at our table we got the salmon, steak strips and fried chicken sandwich (so, so tasty). We also got the coconut shrimp as an app, but probably wouldn't order again.
I have always loved this place! I came back after 15 years and it is just as charming. The food was good the service was great and the ambience was so inviting.
Great hidden, holiday spot. 4 course menu ( with plenty of non traditional choices) $60. Food and service are top notch. I’ve been coming for Thanksgiving for well over 10 years now and I’m already excited for next year!
I had the vegetarian thanks giving meal and I was so disappointed. The main dish was tortellini whole-wheat pasta with butternut squash inside dry with no sauce ,no herbs just the pasta pieces and nothing else. I would never dream of serving this to my guests I would be to embarrassed. I told them at the time I wasn’t happy- the bill was expensive yet the meal took pennies to make and they never offered a penny discount. The carrot cake was bought in the pears salad was a bunch of rocket(arigula ) 3 slices of sliced pear dollops of Brie’s no dressing They basically took the money and nodded back blankly I.e. the equivalent of I asked you how it was & I don’t really care about the answer. Felt a bit robbed to tell you the truth their normal menu is probably nicer. Wish I had of had it. The chef??? No imagination
We have visited on previous trips and had a lovely brunch but were really disappointed having just visited. The food was poor. Tough bacon and overcooked eggs. The waiter was very surly to add to the poor experience. Such a shame. Won’t be returning.
Good food, prices are a little steep for the portion sizes..I had their special eggs Benedict and my smoked salmon portion was tiny. Service was lackluster. Our drinks came after our food was delivered..disappointing.
Everything was great except we couldn't get pancakes, because they ran out of maple syrup!
Great brunch spot in Soho. Service was very good. Food was very good with many yummy options to choose from.
Loud, terrible service, pretty bad food. Sat right next to a band...
The food was fantastic and we loved the historic feel of the restaurant.
