The food and the restaurant were wonderful, however unfortunately our server seemed put out by the fact that we did not order alcohol, and alternated between trying to rush us (and turn the table) and then ignoring us. Its unfortunate because its otherwise a nice restasurant.
The food was amazing and the waitstaff was knowledgeable about Gluten Free.
Only 4 stars because the portions were very tiny. I do not like those places with over sized servings, but could have used a bit more here. All in all I would recommend to a friend.
We had a large group of 16 people at two different tables. My meal with the rigatoni was absolutely great and those who chose the butternut squash pasta were equally as happy. The downfall was the linguini with clams. They all came out al dente but every plate was to be generous, luke warm. The ambience was great and the server very nice.
We went here for my girlfriends birthday and I had the option of conveying it was her birthday when I made the reservation. The reservation was at 7:30, but due to timing, we got there about 15 minutes early - this was no issue as we were sat within 5 minutes, and to our surprise, the host had given my girlfriend a hand-signed card from the staff working that night as well as a generous baggie of their homemade rigatoni pasta that we could make ourselves! The waitress was very helpful as well and our glasses were always full and the food was fast even though there were quite a few parties there. I had the lasagna (which may be the best lasagna I have ever had) and my girlfriend had the cheese-filled tortellini (blanking on the name - it was much fancier than that). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating a special occasion, or just looking for a great spot with even better Italian food.
Every time we visit Cuoco, we feel like we are treated like VIP’s. The service was outstanding, the wine list outstanding, and the food was delicious, as always. Thanks for a memorable evening!
Wonderful food, service, ambiance, but the portions were so embarrassingly small! I guess that's just the way it is these days?
Included gratuity so servers don’t have to work for their tip. Food is mediocre. Dessert is good.
We had a fabulous family gathering to celebrate several birthdays - everything about the evening was delicious and so special, from appetizers to dessert. Highly recommend this place for special occasions or just a great happy hour.
Loved everything, as usual
Wonderful Northern Italian restaurant! I’ve been here several times and will continue to do so.
Pasta was excellent. Sockeye salmon was dry and without flavor. Wine overpriced for small pore
Had the rigatoni. Nice taste. But tiny portion. I mean, come on. $22 bucks. It’s just pasta. More than cover the bottom of the serving plate. Kind of pathetic
Pretty room , tremendous service team, excellent menu.
Loved the Icelandic dinner
Food was so so and very pricey.
Only because the location is convenient. The food was very average. I had the bolognese lasagna and there was very little meat in it. Mostly just though. Not much of flavour either. Quite disappointed.
Consistently exceptional food and service
Loved the vibe of the restaurant. We had a table of 8 and were very impressed with the service. Drinks were refilled, appetizers and the main entrees were perfectly timed and all of our entrees came out at once. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend!
Cuoco's food was excellent, it definitely lived up to best Italian restaurant in Seattle. It was fun to talk with the pasta chef. He was very cordial with all my questions. It was a little difficult to find because of the next door construction, and the street signs had been turned. We were very glad to find it, the meal and ambiance were very worth it. Next time we will try the dinner menu.
The food was outstanding
Delicious food. Generous portions. Very nice wine. And, oh! The coconut pie!❤️
Excellent evening! Our server did get bogged down with a large party but did give us great service when he was able to be with us.
We had the Lasagna and the Capelletti. Both were good, but not worth the price or drive from the Eastside. Had to wait a long time to get the check.
First time to Tom Douglas’ Cuoco. As with many of his other restaurants, Cuoco has a great ambiance and feel. It’s a great place to share a meal with family and friends.
Our server was Mark. He gave us great service and was very personable.
My wife and I were there for Happy Hour. Smaller menu with reduced prices. The prices were average or a little below for a Happy Hour menu at an Italian restaurant. The food tasted great, though. My wife had the kale Caesar and we shared some braised meatballs. I had pasta with pecorino cheese and pepper. By far the meatballs were the hit. Awesome !!
We will definitely be going back to try other dishes.
We came for a birthday for the first time here, and it was lovely! The food was good, and the ambiance was nice and relaxed without being stuffy or too quiet. Very nice place to eat for either a nice calm evening or as a good start to the night.
Delicious homemade pasta ! And lovely outdoor patio!
Very nice setting offering excellent handmade pasta. They were perfect portions. My Kale Caesar salad was delicious too. The staff was very friendly and professional.
Food was too expensive for the quality and size.
The 20% service fee calculated on the taxed value is a rip off
Hi Francescog, I'm so sorry to here that you didn't feel the value of food was in line with our quality or portion size. I would be happy to discuss this further with you. You can reach me at 206-971-0710. I do have to clarify that we add our service charge to the subtotal before tax. We do not charge any service charge for tax. There is tax on the service charge which is unfortunately controlled by the state. Thanks for the feedback and I look forward to hearing back, Scott Whited
Second time there. Cooking, presentation, service, all very good. Free parking in building. Will be returning.
With the mandatory tip in place, the servers seemed to careless about providing exceptional service. We never had or drinks or water refilled, we were not asked if everything was alright. It was a horrible dinning experience.
We came with a gift certificate for dinner for 2 won at a recent auction, good for S -->Th. We wanted to go on Saturday, and so we called and they happily accommodated us - first of a series of nice gestures. We arrived at 6 this past Saturday and asked to be seated outside, which they also happily accommodated, though we were the first. Our server was a delightful women and a lovely evening unfolded. Terrific cocktails, a fabulous salad, and really tasty main courses, 2 terrific glasses of wine, and shared piece of coconut cream pie (YUM!) - a terrific, relaxing, tine. Though our GC was for "2 dinners" and additionally stated that drinks, dessert, tax or tip (these last 2 we expected) were not included. When the bill came, everything was included, save the service charge (we would happily have paid that and more by way of a tip) and, of course, the tax. The total for entire meal, with cocktails, wine and dessert, was under $45! We will certainly be back, ready (and willing) to pay our way sans a GC the next time. :)
Steak which was supposed to be medium-well, came back as overcooked, very dry and hard to chew. Steak was sliced and it was really obvious that it is overcooked to them.
The waitress was not accurate and spilled some sweat drink on one of the guests while serving the other.
Food is OK, but not great. Definitely not at the level they are trying to position themselves.
Catching up with my wife's cousin after 30 + years. Staff was great no push to order, letting us visit and order when we were ready. Food was outstanding and what can you say about the coconut cream pie - perfection.
Very attractive restaurant with much ambiance. Food portion was a bit small but the homemade pasta was superb.
It was my Wife’s birthday and the restaurant gave her a nice signed card and small bundle of their own pasta- nice touch.
Food and service was excellent. We were not disappointed and will absolutely be back.
Seated earlier than our reservation in a location of our choice (outside). Friendly and efficient waitstaff. Very accommodating bartender who came out to the table to ask me questions about a drink I wanted him to make up - came out great! Very good appetizers and main course (their pasta is very good). Good single glass wine choices. This was my second time back and can’t wait to go again.
Good food but very overpriced
Had and amazing date night dinner at Cuoco! This was my 4th visit and can tell you I will be back! The sweet corn agnolotti and the lasagne are superb!
Fabulous dinner. The prosciutto and peach appetizer was excellent. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs which was tasty and meatballs were as good my own homemade ones. The angliotti was absolutely delicious. Raphael was an outstanding server. I would highly recommend dining at Trattoria Cuoco.
I gotta say this was an enjoyable meal. Creative apps. Perfectly cooked pasta. Good wine choices. Excellent dessert. And a good finish with a Tawny Port.
