Cuoco's food was excellent, it definitely lived up to best Italian restaurant in Seattle. It was fun to talk with the pasta chef. He was very cordial with all my questions. It was a little difficult to find because of the next door construction, and the street signs had been turned. We were very glad to find it, the meal and ambiance were very worth it. Next time we will try the dinner menu.
The food was outstanding
Delicious food. Generous portions. Very nice wine. And, oh! The coconut pie!❤️
Excellent evening! Our server did get bogged down with a large party but did give us great service when he was able to be with us.
We had the Lasagna and the Capelletti. Both were good, but not worth the price or drive from the Eastside. Had to wait a long time to get the check.
First time to Tom Douglas’ Cuoco. As with many of his other restaurants, Cuoco has a great ambiance and feel. It’s a great place to share a meal with family and friends.
Our server was Mark. He gave us great service and was very personable.
My wife and I were there for Happy Hour. Smaller menu with reduced prices. The prices were average or a little below for a Happy Hour menu at an Italian restaurant. The food tasted great, though. My wife had the kale Caesar and we shared some braised meatballs. I had pasta with pecorino cheese and pepper. By far the meatballs were the hit. Awesome !!
We will definitely be going back to try other dishes.
We came for a birthday for the first time here, and it was lovely! The food was good, and the ambiance was nice and relaxed without being stuffy or too quiet. Very nice place to eat for either a nice calm evening or as a good start to the night.
Delicious homemade pasta ! And lovely outdoor patio!
Very nice setting offering excellent handmade pasta. They were perfect portions. My Kale Caesar salad was delicious too. The staff was very friendly and professional.
Food was too expensive for the quality and size.
The 20% service fee calculated on the taxed value is a rip off
Hi Francescog, I'm so sorry to here that you didn't feel the value of food was in line with our quality or portion size. I would be happy to discuss this further with you. You can reach me at 206-971-0710. I do have to clarify that we add our service charge to the subtotal before tax. We do not charge any service charge for tax. There is tax on the service charge which is unfortunately controlled by the state. Thanks for the feedback and I look forward to hearing back, Scott Whited
Second time there. Cooking, presentation, service, all very good. Free parking in building. Will be returning.
With the mandatory tip in place, the servers seemed to careless about providing exceptional service. We never had or drinks or water refilled, we were not asked if everything was alright. It was a horrible dinning experience.
We came with a gift certificate for dinner for 2 won at a recent auction, good for S -->Th. We wanted to go on Saturday, and so we called and they happily accommodated us - first of a series of nice gestures. We arrived at 6 this past Saturday and asked to be seated outside, which they also happily accommodated, though we were the first. Our server was a delightful women and a lovely evening unfolded. Terrific cocktails, a fabulous salad, and really tasty main courses, 2 terrific glasses of wine, and shared piece of coconut cream pie (YUM!) - a terrific, relaxing, tine. Though our GC was for "2 dinners" and additionally stated that drinks, dessert, tax or tip (these last 2 we expected) were not included. When the bill came, everything was included, save the service charge (we would happily have paid that and more by way of a tip) and, of course, the tax. The total for entire meal, with cocktails, wine and dessert, was under $45! We will certainly be back, ready (and willing) to pay our way sans a GC the next time. :)
Steak which was supposed to be medium-well, came back as overcooked, very dry and hard to chew. Steak was sliced and it was really obvious that it is overcooked to them.
The waitress was not accurate and spilled some sweat drink on one of the guests while serving the other.
Food is OK, but not great. Definitely not at the level they are trying to position themselves.
Catching up with my wife's cousin after 30 + years. Staff was great no push to order, letting us visit and order when we were ready. Food was outstanding and what can you say about the coconut cream pie - perfection.
Very attractive restaurant with much ambiance. Food portion was a bit small but the homemade pasta was superb.
It was my Wife’s birthday and the restaurant gave her a nice signed card and small bundle of their own pasta- nice touch.
Food and service was excellent. We were not disappointed and will absolutely be back.
Seated earlier than our reservation in a location of our choice (outside). Friendly and efficient waitstaff. Very accommodating bartender who came out to the table to ask me questions about a drink I wanted him to make up - came out great! Very good appetizers and main course (their pasta is very good). Good single glass wine choices. This was my second time back and can’t wait to go again.
Good food but very overpriced
Had and amazing date night dinner at Cuoco! This was my 4th visit and can tell you I will be back! The sweet corn agnolotti and the lasagne are superb!
Fabulous dinner. The prosciutto and peach appetizer was excellent. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs which was tasty and meatballs were as good my own homemade ones. The angliotti was absolutely delicious. Raphael was an outstanding server. I would highly recommend dining at Trattoria Cuoco.
I gotta say this was an enjoyable meal. Creative apps. Perfectly cooked pasta. Good wine choices. Excellent dessert. And a good finish with a Tawny Port.
Monday night all you can eat spaghetti and meatballs was the best!
The spaghetti and meatballs special early Monday evening is wonderful. It was my first time at a Tom Douglas establishment, and I am starting to understand the buzz.
My server's name was Colt, and he was exceptional. I had several unusual requests and he made them happen, all while conversing gamely with me and verifying I was more than adequately satisfied. I added an additional amount to my check, on top of the 20% service fee. I tied up a table for two hours, and the service fee only came to $5.00. Plus, I was told the individual server only gets 14% of the 20% fee. Colt definitely deserved more than $3.50 for the time and attention he lavished on me.
I live on the Eastside, and am not frequently downtown on a Monday afternoon. But when I am, I'll be back and will hope Colt is available when I am.
The homemade pasta was fantastic. We brought our own wine. The waitress was warm and polite. The value, however, is questionable. On a $150 tab for 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, drinks and dessert, our final was $210 when the 20% service barge and 12% tax was added. The service charge is also taxed so can get the same fine meal for much less outside of Seattle city limits.
Really enjoyed our experience here. The service was great and the staff was very accommodating to dietary needs and making room for our stroller/high chair. We will definitely be back!
The food was outstanding and great service too! I would highly recommend Cuoco for great authentic Italian food.
You can't beat the value on all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Mondays!
All you can eat spaghetti and meatballs soooo delish!
Food is always outstanding. Nice servers, great happy hour menu. I really liked the white wine on happy hour! Kale Caesar is amazing and even the bread is spectacular. Come on Mondays for the all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs. Truly an amazing deal and the quality of the food does not suffer one bit. Even better - come Monday during happy hour to experience the best of both worlds!
great food. restaurant was busy but service was goos and time btw courses was reasonable. would recommend and will come back.
I went to Cuoco with a friend as a joint birthday celebration. Food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. I had received a coupon for a free dessert to use at any of the Tom Douglas Restaurants during my birthday month. When I presented it to the server he graciously provided another free dessert to my friend whose birthday was the day after mine. I so appreciate the outstanding customer connections that are made at this and all the other Tom Douglas restaurants!
We arrived at 5:15 and it was fairly quiet and easy to hear each other. Food and service were tremendous. The sound level was moderate when the restaurant was full by 6:15. The food was over the top.
I wish the dinner menu had a salad or a low card option
We had a wonderful time at Cuoco to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday! The staff was attentive, the food and drinks were delicious, and we had a great evening!
As always, my entire experience at Cuoco was amazing. I ordered the rigatoni, which is a personal favorite since I love spicy foods and this one has just a little kick. We also shared the meatball appetizer, which is packed with flavor. Our server was very friendly, with just the right amount of attentiveness. A perfect place for a rare dinner between two very busy friends.
Food was excellent, reasonable price for quality. Interior of Cuoco is large, noisy.
The service was impeccable. The arrancini super delicious. Each entree perfectly designed to be as scrumptious as possible. And the desserts were too much and yet I don’t regret indulging.
We tried the gnocchi, the lasagna, and the pasta with the sausage ragu. For dessert we had the tiramisu, the coconut cake, and the budino.
Go now, go often!!
This is one of the best restaurants we have been to. The food was excellent; great taste, flavors and presentation were great too. The server greeted us with a warm smile, and looked happy to be there. Made our dining experience very pleasant. Would definitely come here next time we are in Seattle.
The entree was delicious and the presentation was good. Our waitress was excellent, knowledgeable and attentive but not overly so. The decor was fine except for the 3D picture on the wall of a lady in a bathtub. The art was fine except itwas just so out of place with the rest of the decor that it was distracting. The serving size was what I'd expect from an appetizer, if it was twice as big I would of been mildly disappointed. A mixture of good and poor at Cuoco.
