Service was awesome, food was perfection. One of the most awesomely consistent steakhouse in the metroplex, it been around for a long time still beats driving to Dallas!
Wonderful dining in every way! Great service, food and ambiance!

First visit and will not be my last. Excellent service and what can I say about the food, absolutely superb. Steak was prepared as ordered and the taste was mouth watering!!!
Teresa our server was fantastic, the venue authentic with a warm inviting atmosphere, we were not rushed and had a relaxed evening with great live music just audible in the unique performance space which is worth the trip alone by itself
Appetizers were great .. ( Bacon with chocolate & Onion soup)
Entrée: Pork chop seasoned okay.. Bake potato was cold
Rib Eye: Uncooked, had to send back .
Culpepper was excellent from beginning to end!!! Service was incredible and the ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely be back and will recommend highly to anyone looking to have an upscale dining experience.
Excellent food! Excellent service! We met another couple for Sunday brunch, and thoroughly enjoyed our time together at this wonderful restaurant.
Excellent everything...food, ambience, service! Will do it again!
Been Here 9 times over the last 5 years.
Was placed at a table and wanted a booth. had a reservation but was told the 6 booths were reserved. Kind weird they were still open when we left. Where we were seated there are stain glass fixtures above us that had all kinds of dirt and fur looking balls sitting in there and wondered if any of it was going to come onto the table. Literally right above my head. It was Sad that you had to see this while you ate. Ordered filets. crappy cuts of meat for $38 apiece. it was again pretty sad don't know what has happened here but it makes it hard for a place I did like to go to .. mark P
Food and service were the best. Will be going back
Excellent food and service, have been going for 35+ years. This visit was was one of the better ones
Great Service, Great Food, Great Entertainment
Food was excellent. The waiter was great very efficient and friendly. They need to turn air up a bit otherwise a great experience.
I have gone to this restaurant for 30 years. Food is always great. service was very disappointing and slow, over an hour to get our food. Not sure if they were prepared for Father's Day but it wasn't crowded.
Father’s Day Brunch
I would not suggest Culpeppers for brunch
It was awful.
The items of choice were not good, what we ordered was awful
Classic steakhouse vibe. Don’t expect anything surprising on the menu, but they do what they know well.
Great food, great atmosphere. Never have had a bad experience here.
Very friendly staff. Great food for a great price. Loved the sword fish. Valet was very friendly. Cocktails were delicious.
Anniversary dinner 41 years married
It’s a very nice atmosphere and can be romantic. However, with the new menu change it seems that prices increased and some serving sizes decreased. We had to wait to be seated even with a reservation & they were not crowded. We noted it was our Anniversary. No mention of it at all and we didn’t even have a semi-private little area once seated like we had another time. I am no longer impressed as I had been in times past.
I brought a date and when I agreed to a $75 lobster, I had no idea it would have come to the table smelling like ammonia. I was utterly embarrassed and needless to say, that was my last date with her.
I really liked the Texas Torpedoes and poblanos. The complementary valet was really awesome
This was a wonderful date night experience. The service was great and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend going if you want a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
Excellent Service and Food!! Neat ambiance. We had the Prime NY Strip and it was very good.
I would not recommend this for someone looking for a "nice", "special occasion" restaurant. This was more like an expensive casual family steakhouse. The place was empty and 2 items we ordered were not available. The food was descent but overpriced and nothing special.
7:30 PM reservation and we were not sat until after 8:15. Had to suffer through the live music during this period. The guy in the band just could not sing a lick .
We did not receive our food until after 9:30 PM.
Both of our steaks were severely under cooked, and the chef had slashed entirely through them with a knife before bringing under cooked steaks to our table.
The manager came by my table and asked how my experience was. I said “not that great”. He turned and walked away.
$50 steak should not be fatty gristly and undercooked. A chef who cooks $50 steaks should know when they’re cooked without cutting into them. And when he does cut into them he should be able to see that it was undercooked.
Was looking forward to going to this place and will never return
Reservations should be put first. We had a 7:00 reservation and were not seated until 7:30. The people ahead of us had a reservation for 6:30 and were not seated until 7:15! But they were still allowing people to come in to open seating. If you were overbooked in reservations then you should have used the open seating. I just felt like whahat is the point of having a reservation if they are really not the priority. When management was approached about it he basically said well we dont have any tables right now yet he let 2 families on through to open seating. That night should have really been more organized. It was my husband's birthday
and We love coming here but that experience really put a downer on our night.
Went for Easter brunch. Very slow service. My breakfast came out cold and I sent it back. When they brought me another plate the eggs were RAW! Vet disappointed. Would’ve expected better food and service for $50pp. Won’t recommend.
Yes, we would recommend Culpepper's Steak House to anyone looking for a great dinner. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable as well as experienced. We will be going back.
My wife and I had a superb dining experience at Culpepper’s last Friday evening. The server, Valerie, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was some of the best we had ever eaten. While we are certainly no strangers to the restaurant, we had not ordered steak there since the menu changed to prime beef only. We decided to remedy that situation by getting the prime porterhouse for two. The presentation was outstanding, with meat, mushrooms, roasted peppers, and a side of chimichurri sauce beautifully displayed. The prime beef was intensely delicious and moist, while the steak knives provided with the meal proved to be unnecessary. We will definitely be doing this again!
We apparently had a new waiter who was SPECIFICALLY assigned to our table by the manager when we checked in. I was not aware of why he told the hostess to specifically seat us at "Doug's" table, but it did not go well. He was slow and inattentive. We would ask for drink refills and wait..and wait...and wait. Food was ok, but since the service was off, we didn't enjoy the evening. I am really beginning to think Culpepper is operating on a thin margin and is having trouble getting servers, etc. The word, "Tired" comes to mind to sum up going to this restaurant.
Our reservations we're at 5 so we were pretty much the only customers, the wait staff was very friendly.
We gave our order, the wait staff came by a couple times and we're very polite.
When or food arrived the waiter said "we have a surprise" the surprise was that he had brought our order to the table and it a incorrect, in my opinion he should have corrected the order before bringing it to the table.
We took the food as it was, I didn't eat mine, but we did take it with us.
Thank you for asking
Had a great dinner at Culpepper Steak house the other night! Ordered a Bone in Ribeye Medium but it came out a little to rare for us, no problem, Seth took it back to the kitchen and put just the right amount of heat to it, came out perfect after about 5 minutes, and they added some creamy mash potatoes to eat which was a surprise (not necessary) but they were delicious! Everything was tasty, service was great and the ambience was very nice. The only complaint, my wife kept smelling a hint of a Vanilla air freshener which seemed to be coming from the front reception podium. Not a huge deal but not something you really want to smell when you are eating steak!
Always a wonderful experience. Food and service very good. Love the atmosphere.
But maybe not for Sunday brunch. I have eaten here several times and always had good steaks and service. We didn't know they served brunch until we got there and the brunch menu is fine and covers the typical menu items for a fair price. There were just a few slip-ups in the kitchen this visit. We ordered the tomato basil soup but this turned out to be a tepid cup of marinara sauce with croutons and scallions on top. Looked like it had just been poured out of the jar you buy at the grocery store. Our table ordered a variation of breakfast and lunch items all of which were pretty good. My eggs benedict with steak was tasty but again nowhere close to the right temp for food coming out of the kitchen. Others ordered the salmon, bbq sandwich and a breakfast bowl all of which were good. Service was really good as our waitress saw that we didn't touch our soup and she took it off our bill. Manager checked on us several times as well.
Great place it hasn’t lost even one step since the 80’s same great food.
Went here for my birthday dinner. I got a steak and my husband got the scallops. Both were excellent! They have an extensive wine list! I asked for a table away from the crowds and it was perfect! We had great service! Will definitely be back!
