Cull and Pistol
Food was great, service was an utter disappointment.
Nice food but not tasty ad we would have expected
The place is ideal
Excellent seafood and best wé had furing our stay. Nice service and Chelsea Market gives à spécial touch.
When we travel to NYC this is one place we love to visit and dine at. From the minute you walk through the door you are welcomed and treated so well, everyone is super nice. The energy and the vibe is amazing at this place.. Can't wait to come back soon! Thank you....
Food was grat
Do you like oysters? Any raw sea food? This is the place just to get everything done and get the most fresh sea food in the city, every time we enjoy this place with the family, lobster roll Connecticut style is the best....thanks for everything can’t wait to be back!!!!!
We went on a recommendation while on a business/ pleasure trip. The restaurant is crammed and you sit on top of your neighbors. The noise level was high. The food was good. My whole lobster was tasty but my boyfriend’s lobster roll was small and fair. The shrimp and lobster dumplings app was tasteless, and a waste of money. Our server disappeared and left us begging to pay the bill.
I believe there are better choices in the Chelsea Market for a meal well over $150 for 2.
We liked it...a little noisy and the food was pretty good. Very limited menu. My husband had a hard time finding something he could eat. eclectic vibe....would probably go back for happy hour but not dinner.
Oysters were amazing ! Best I’ve had ! Lobster Roll was outstanding also
Staff was super friendly. Very accommodating.
Always have a great experience! Food and service is exceptional. Thank you Gabby for a wonderful dinner.
Really great, fresh seafood, creatively prepared. Good vibe. Good value.
Very good food in busy but nice ambience. Very good service!
The worlds best oysters!!!!
Service, food, environment all excellent. Glad we came. Very fresh fish/shrimp...
Brought family in from out of town. Scallops were delicious. Reasonably priced for the location and the food.
Food is excellent and the waitress was lovely and attentive
Raw bar was ok but pricey. Surprisingly, They did not offer a lot of sauces for the seafood tower. The fish and chips were a little greasy with thick layer of batter but fries were thin and crunchy.
Lobster roll was a little on skimpy side but tasty. However, its hard to make a bad lobster roll. Noise level makes it hard to hold a conversation and the loud music playing doesn't help!
The staff was extremely courteous. The food was amazing. Great atmosphere. Jeremy delighted me. I will tell everyone about this lovely place.
Service was awesome. Oysters were so cold and fresh. Squid .... very tasty but cold. Lobster roll skimpy. All food was tasty and well presented. But having a skimpy lobster roll ... cmon. We are New Yorkers. We go to the Montauk, lobster shacks, The Hamptons, Long Island diners... Everyone knows a lobster roll must be overflowing.
Over priced and over hyped....food OK....seating not good....place virtually empty on a Saturday evening...was seated next to kitchen and tablebusing station
Overpriced, minuscule portions. Connecticut Lobster roll was great, the rest of the meal, appetizer to dessert, was so-so, overpriced food. Wish we ate at the hotel.
Best raw bar in Manhattan. Always have a great time going with friends. It is not cheap and don't expect to get in and out quickly. This place is meant to sit and enjoy and order more!!
Amazing food, place and service.
I would gladly come back next time in NYC
very delicious lobster hotpot.
great selection of wine.
very friendly staff.
will come back!
Hoped to have a good time but it wasn't. I live in Chelsea near the restaurant and it was full of tourists. We ordered an appetizer with the waitress and then somehow the manager took the rest of the order, and when our lobsters came, hadn't got the appetizer. She offered to either take it off the bill or bring it after the main course. Neither acceptable. She should have left the waitress to take care of us , so we waited what seemed a long time for the appetizer. Also, after the meal, they only had espresso, no other choices, not even regular coffee. And a single choice for desert.
In retrospect, didn't like how ordering wine went either. They had several wines I'm not familiar with and Sancerre. They insisted on bringing three wines to taste, and I liked the Sancerre the most and ordered it, and she said something snotty about ordering something new Vs. a familiar choice. I liked it the best and don't need someone in a restaurant saying their taste is better than mine. It's run by Lobster Place, the wholesale fish store next door, and they are a lot better at running a store which I got to all the time than a restaurant. I think the absence of customers other than tourists says a lot, locals are not coming back.
Amazing fresh seafood! Great service and atmosphere.
What a lovely little restaurant. Food was amazing. Loved the scallops and tile fish. Our server could not have been kinder or more attentive. Ambiance is a little lacking but fine.
Great oysters and seafood selection with friendly and accommodating staff
Stew? Too much broth, not enough fish
Pasta? Was there crab in it?
Market fish? Cooked one minute too long
Key lime pie/tart? Competent
It’s was all ok. But there was nothing that would make me return
We enjoyed our visit very much! I made a reservation and we ended up near the restaurant early and ask if we could sit sooner. We lucked out as there was a table open. The host, our server and bus staff/food runners were all excellent. I asked the bartender for something off menu and he made me a lovely cocktail! I would highly recommend this spot for a date night or an outing with friends. We will certainly return to try all the other things we didn't have this visit! I recommend the Octopus app, the Shrimp dumplings and the oysters. I didn't love the Shrimp cocktail but my husband enjoyed it. Don't skip the Amy's Bread bread and salted butter!!
Best place for oysters, great seafood dishes, amazing good cocktails and fantastic service.
4-6, great happy hour deals on oysters and drinks, but only applies to the bar, and tough to get a barstool. Oysters are great, food is overvalued. Service is amazing.
I’m a happy frequent diner and that is why I’ll point out that the halibut I was served (it was a substitute for the market fish that was sold out) should not be served skin on, skin side up. Unlike the Black Sea bass, which was the market fish, halibut skin isn’t eaten and shouldn’t be facing up on a dinner plate. I’m guessing the kitchen wasn’t prepared for the change and the chef was off on Sunday.
Food is always good and the service usually is too. I think they were understaffed as our service was not good.
The food was excellent. It was a great value. Great food and great price. We went back for a second meal and will visit again.
The bar options were very limited but overall enjoyed our experience
