Special events at The Culinary Dropout, located in the Hard Rock Hotel
View Private Dining DetailsGreat service. Fun food choices. A must do at the Hard Rock
Service was excellent, space is beautifully decorated (though the tables along the bench seats are not quite large enough for 4 people), food was delish...totally worth the value!!!
Anne was our waitress and she was awesome. Food was amazing. I dine at many restaurants in Las Vegas and Culinary Dropout is a hidden gem. Great restaurant indoor/outdoor setting. Great place!
Best French dip sandwich I have ever had!
Cool vibe, great food, excellent service and overall great first experience. It was very loud with the live entertainment, but it did not detour from having a great evening. Would definitely suggest to friends and will go back where I return to Vegas.
Enjoyed our meal, had fried chicken, which was recommended in previous reviews and is a specialty. Crispy , yet moist and tender with a great flavorful. Trout was a nice dish as well. Did not have apps, but saw some at adjoining tables and they looked good. Live music and a fun vibe make this a good place to get a decent casual meal with family in Vegas.
Everything was delicious, but beware the hidden cost. Ordered a salad and parentheses it read “add chicken or smoked salmon $5). We asked about how the server enjoyed the salmon. Said she liked it with roasted salmon. Get the bill and there was a $10 up-charge since we got roasted and not smoked salmon. It’s not the money, it’s the not advertising the difference for me to make a more informed decision. So be careful what you “add” to your salads or burgers...
Great experience! Our server Jake was great. Really helpful and attentive.
Great service and spectacular food: perfect fish n chips and a gorgeous-tasting Korean steak.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced, the service was absolutely top-notch, and the industrial rock and roll diner decor fits well with the location (inside the Hard Rock Casino/Resort). The only negative was that the background music was so loud that it made hearing the server difficult. However, I will very likely dine here again.
Food is decent ,waiter service is good but the hostess was weak at best. Took a good while to find us a table even though they were half empty and she cancelled our Open Table reservation after I told her that we made a reservation through
Salads suck
a group of 9 of us went for a Birthday lunch for a colleague. I advised ahead of time that we had a time constraint and needed to be back at work. I also advised it was a birthday and wanted to order a dessert with a candle. The server assured me that everything would go within the time frame without a problem. We sat, and waited. The server brought us over some pretzel rolls complimentary which was very nice and unexpected. and then we waited....and waited....and waited. The server never came over to apologize for the wait time, and never refilled glasses. After waiting 45 minutes without attention, I called over a manager to ask what was going on and that we only had a short amount of time left and we still had no food. He said he'd make it happen right away. Suddenly, the server came over and was placing checks on the table and our food still hadn't been served!! I couldn't believe it. I stopped her and told her we weren't signing or paying for food checks without food! It took another 15 minutes before the food started to come out - we had already been there an hour. Our celebration was ruined. We ate as fast as we could, had to wait to find the server for checks, and then she came over and asked if we wanted the dessert with the candle. I told her unless it was on the table in 5 seconds, not to bring it because we had to go. It finally came as we were about to get up and leave. This was an awful experience. No apologies, no accommodation, and just an awful time. I assure you, not only will we never go back, but we will make sure to let others know about their awful service.
Our staff member “Tango” was the best. Great advice on the tapas, drinks and the cuisine. Food was well prepared and tasty. Try the pretzel fondue and deviled eggs and the beets👍👍
It was disappointing. Food, wait staff, everything. We won’t return or suggest to friends.
Excellent- exactly what we expected and hoped for
Do not come here before a show if you’re in a hurry! It took us 35 minutes after we ordered to get our entree— fried chicken, fish n chips, steak nachos and the food was just short of average. Our server was nice, and she was busting her butt, but food just came out slow.
The menu looked really great. The execution, however, was average.
Our server was awesome and this place had a cool vibe. But the food was meh.
Everything we ordered was amazing especially the deviled eggs! Can’t wait to go back
Made a reservation for my husband’s birthday (that I noted on the ressie), they sat us at our table and then left us. We waited for at least 15 min before anyone came to ask
Had a 7pm reservation and finally was seated by 7:20. Service was slow and bad. They were out of the item I ordered so the waitress suggested another. When the food finally came out 45 minutes later mine was ice cold while my wife's was nice and hot. We talked to the manager who was very apologetic and nice. He took the item off of our bill and offered to replace it. I declined due to time restraints. Would not recommend.
Cool atmosphere. Live music was awesome but definitely not a quiet place. That was fine with us though. Dinner was delicious. French dip melted in your mouth. Yummy!
Good food. Very busy so our reservation was about 30 minutes late. Staff was great.
Fantastic evening dining here. The food was delicious was presented well on the plates. We loved our waiter!! He put up with us, and made us laugh - great customer service. Would definitely return to dine here again.
Awesome bartender. They really know how to pour a martini
Nice dinner. Not too expensive which is a good thing when on a per diem for dinner.
The ribs were the best I've had in Las Vegas!
We really had a nice evening!
Quick service, excellent pink margarita, live entertainment and outdoor seating
Great attentive server : not part of Hard Rock restaurant chain so the birthday voucher wasn’t accepted. Kindly given a complimentary drink by the manager which was a nice gesture when quested at check time
The Restaurant were advised by open table message it was a birthday but no mention picked up so be sure if you are celebrating to mention it personally.
It’s VERY noisy music but it didn’t bother us.
Pop in : it’s casual and as it’s say easy going gastro
We’d go again
I had heard about this Restaurant and we were going to a show at the Hard Rock so perfect opportunity to check it out. We just had few appetizers but they were all delicious. Pretzels and fondue great, the chips and dip fantastic, but the smoked salmon was amazing loved it. All done in house and you can tell would go agin in a heartbeat.
mmmmm French dip always great. Thomas was a good waiter.
We grabbed lunch here on a Sunday. The food and service were excellent overall. I had the fried chicken with honey drizzle and my wife had the ribs. The only item we had that was not quite what we expected was the banana cream pie, which came atop a large smear of butterscotch (which we both do not like and we were not warned about ahead of time). They also do not offer unflavored iced tea, the nearest thing they have is unsweetened jasmine iced tea. Despite the small hiccups, the quality of the food and service overall makes this a great place to visit while in Las Vegas.
Restaurant markets itself as a gastropub. Some of the food might fall into that category, but this is most definitely NOT a gastropub.
Pros:
Our waiter was very attentive and personable.
Cons:
Food is overpriced for what you receive.
The au jus that came with my food was lukewarm, not hot.
Beer selection is limited and what they do have is not great.
Loud band playing covers of 70 's AM Gold music.
Not a restaurant I would choose again.
Amazing service! Friendly with great care but most important great food & great service..We are happy to take our friends anytime.
The fried chicken is sooo yummy and the coleslaw too. Can't wait to go back:)
Food was meh. We’ve eaten there before and food was awesome. Not sure what happened. My burger was under seasoned and quite boring. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and several were raw/cold in the center.
Great dining experience everytime! Love the pretzel fondue and ribeye cap.
Waitress forgot our appetizer so we had to eat it after entrees were served.so busy she did not check on us and we had to tell the runner about missed appetizer.
Everything was amazing!! Service, food, drinks! All 100%!
