Culinary Dropout Waterfront
Great food and close to our hotel. Nice area of town
Thrilled by our salads! I ordered Kale with Smoked Salmon and it was delicious - real salmon that had been smoked. Also homemade potato chips with onion dip were a treat. We did wait a bit for our food but it was ok in the end as our food was delicious.
8 of us...Liked the round table. Food was very good. Noise level was a little too high for the best conversation.
Overall good experience, although bar was somewhat limited for premium liquor and they were out of the entree I ordered at 5 pm.
It's an ok place to go. Not enough choices on the menu for me. For the price of a beer, the beer could of came in a bigger glass.
We've visited AZ twice in the last month and both times we have been to this Culinary Dropout for a dinner date. Awesome food, even better atmosphere and impeccable service! I would highly recommend it to anyone!
The food and service were great, but the restaurant was very loud. Nonetheless, it was a fun place. I would come back again, but most likely at lunch time instead of dinner.
All was pretty good but food was just subpar. We ordered 2 of the stared items. Pretzels w/ cheese fondu was ok however fondu was not hot as could’ve been. Next nachos w/bbq pork was just fatty pieces of meat with same cheese fondu sauce on top. Finally the fried chicken we split came out dry and way overcooked. Very little seasoning. Service and Ambiance was great although a bit loud
The food was great. Had the fish and chips, which were excellent and my wife had the Shaved Prime Rib dip , also excellent. We were seated outside which was very nice and not loud at all. Also had the soft preTzel and provolone fondue, which was great. The service was also excellent. I would definitely recommend it.
Way too loud! Loved everything else about it. Food was incredible
Trendy place with great ambiance. Live band was great but it did make it difficult to talk over dinner.
The food is higher end pub food. It was good. Nothing outstanding though. Chicharrones were excellent. Probably my favorite of the meal. Meatloaf was pretty good. I would skip the seared tuna salad. Tuna was mixed in and non existent. Cocktails were great.
I would say it’s a good spot for a casual evening with friends. A bit too loud for a date.
Always a great time
The food was excellent but the music was turned up soooooo loud that it was deafening. understanding that this is a music venue as well, but during dining hours, it is not necessary to destroy everyone's ear drums.
Great food and service but I felt so old because it was sooooo loud. Even my teenage kids agreed that it was crazy loud.
Great food, amazing location yet so loud you can hardly hear yourself think.
Great (strong) drinks, friendly staff, with fun and unique food options. It’s probably quieter to sit outside! Inside can be noisy, but fun. Fried chicken was tasty, awesome homemade biscuit.
Great food! We waited a little too long, given how many open tables they had. But our experience was good enough to warrant a second trip. I’m sure we will be back.
Great service, the ribs were amazing. Live music on Saturday night....amazing place to spend a night with your friends.
We really enjoyed our visit. Our server was perfect and we will be back! It was interesting to see the different types of families, groups, parties in the whole restaurant grouping. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.
The music in this place is too loud! I've been to other Culinary Dropout restaurants and it is nowhere near this loud. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation.
I won't go here again. If I wanted to hear such loud music I"ll go to a night club instead.
Great first experience!
Stopped in for lunch. Friendly and attentative waitress and our salads were both very good. Definitely a great place to eat. Modern and clean restaurant too.
Such a fun place with such great food! Always a pleasure.
Great happy hour with comfort food specials. Highly recommend the bite sized pretzels with provolone fondue.
We had a reservation for 7:30pm. They were not honored. The hostess told us that people were not paying out and were sitting at their tables for 2 to 3 hours. After many complaints were finally were seated 45min later. We asked to speak to a manager, and all she could say was we are working on it. The food was good, but not worth the aggravation.
It was a fun place. The food was outstanding!
Not the best spot for brunch in Scottsdale.
The food options are very generic and the plates lack uniqueness and flavor.
Our server was awesome - Jamie Lee- and the food was delicious.
Terrible, slow service. Food was just okay. Will not be going back anytime soon.
We sat indoors for lunch with friends. It was quite noisy and hard to visit. Food and service was good.
Thanks for stopping in! Inside can tend to be a bit energetic, but it is a bit quieter on our heated patio - and we have blankets and hand warmers to keep you extra toasty! Hope to see you back soon :)
I have been to the Tempe location many times before a this was the first time for Scottsdale. Previous Pink Taco spot is a great place for CD. Service was great . The meat and cheese board was confusing on how much was included in each order. We ordered way too much. The ribs which are a staple, we’re not as good as Tempe. They fell off the bone . These did not
No live band was playing and it’s still extremely loud. Hard to carry a conversation. Food was just ok, not impressed and at that same time it was reasonably priced. The service was outstanding, but it does not outweigh the other factors. One time visiting was good enough for me.
the fried chicken was the favorite of the night. They have a very creative set up of creating your own meat and cheese board. The bacon cheddar pretzel chips are to die for! Our server, Ashley, was awesome. The peanut butter rocky road bar was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Overall a great place, just was a little loud with the music and all the people.
Our service attendant,Scotty was amazing:warm welcome, discussed menu with us,very professional :Nick was so good last:the guitar player good choice of songs.very pleasurable evening with friends
Went to see Nick Jensen play. Had a great time.
I love this place! Great brussel sprouts & the best steak salad ever. I always visit when I am in town.
It was extremely loud in there. We did not know there was live music. It is so loud, you can't talk across the table. They need to turn the volume down until about 8pm or so and then crank it up for the evening venue.
Everything was great, just a little loud and hard to hear conversation
I would recommend this place, but mention that it is incredibly loud inside. I would have not been able to stay, had we not gotten a table outside which was ok, but not great. The food and service were great.
