I have been to the Tempe location many times before a this was the first time for Scottsdale. Previous Pink Taco spot is a great place for CD. Service was great . The meat and cheese board was confusing on how much was included in each order. We ordered way too much. The ribs which are a staple, we’re not as good as Tempe. They fell off the bone . These did not

No live band was playing and it’s still extremely loud. Hard to carry a conversation. Food was just ok, not impressed and at that same time it was reasonably priced. The service was outstanding, but it does not outweigh the other factors. One time visiting was good enough for me.

the fried chicken was the favorite of the night. They have a very creative set up of creating your own meat and cheese board. The bacon cheddar pretzel chips are to die for! Our server, Ashley, was awesome. The peanut butter rocky road bar was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Overall a great place, just was a little loud with the music and all the people.

It was extremely loud in there. We did not know there was live music. It is so loud, you can't talk across the table. They need to turn the volume down until about 8pm or so and then crank it up for the evening venue.

I would recommend this place, but mention that it is incredibly loud inside. I would have not been able to stay, had we not gotten a table outside which was ok, but not great. The food and service were great.

We came here on recommendations from a couple of websites. It didn’t disappoint me. We were celebrating my son’s engagement and my other son’s recent marriage. The waiter provided out desserts when he heard of the celebrations.

We had a terrific time at Culinary dropout! Our server, Jonny, was amazing and all of the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the pretzel and cheese fondue, Brussels sprouts, and nachos for starters!

I was really disappointing. The service was mediocre at best and the food was just alright. I’ve only heard great things about this place. Really upset it wasn’t a great experience

Went on a sat night. Called ahead but they don’t take resos only a few hours ahead. I then went on Opentable and got what I wanted. Service was a bit slow, but restaurant was packed so not our server’s fault. She was very nice. Food came out pretty quick, just drinks took a while. I’m sure bar was slammed. Place was pretty loud, both from people noise and the live band. We had to talk a little louder but nothing crazy. Good vibe. Had hot wings as an appy. Delicious. I had the “ribeye cap” for my main, which was described by my server as “kind of like a stir fry”. It was unreal good. Only downside was that it came out luke-warm at best, and was downright cold after only a few mins. It was so delicious that I didn’t care. Guy at next table over had same thing and he also loved it. He said his was hot.
Overall experience was great.

This was my second visit, because my first was exceptional. I can happily say that the second visit was even better. I’ve yet to find something on this menu I didn’t like. From the deviled eggs to the wings as appetizers, to the amazing choice of entrees (the ahi tuna salad is to die for), this places takes great care in crafting their food. Even the servers are fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit... and hey, maybe I’ll go again tonight!

So glad you enjoyed (and then enjoyed even more!). If you haven't tried the turkey pastrami sandwich yet, we make the pretzel buns in house and it is AMAZING. Can't wait to see you on your next trip in! :)

A bit more expensive, but the chef is brilliant. Our server was very inexperienced and not familiar with the menu. This was mainly an issue as we had a dairy allergy in our group. If you also visit and have a dairy allergy I recommend the salmon (sans parsnip purée - as it contains dairy - extra veggies instead). The bread with balsamic and garlic is also dairy free and amazing! Loved the food and the interior is beautiful!

The music (radio, not live) was SO loud you couldn’t hold a conversation.
We asked not to be seated by front door because it was freezing cold and windy outside, and the door was opened frequently, so... where’d they seat us? Right next to the front door. When asked to be moved three times, the answer was always “sorry, no can do”. The server was very nice. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and although horseradish wasn’t mentioned on the menu, it was drenched in horseradish. I couldn’t eat it. We both left grumpy and hungry.

We have been here on several occasions and usually had good meals. We have dined at Tempe & Uptown locations also. This time we had to send back both an appetizer and my wife's entree for being cold. It was a busy Friday night but really no excuse for cold food. The food was corrected but wife still ate last. No correction to the bill. Business decision by manager who was made aware of the issue. Not the way to keep good customers coming back.

Our first time to this restaurant did not disappoint! Very lively, food was fantastic and service was friendly and attentive. What more could you ask for! Also dined during a period of live music which was very enjoyable. It has an up-scale edge to the ambiance with leather couches and comfortable seating, opulent chandeliers and amazing details throughout, YET the food pricing doesn't reflect that. Great food and great prices too! We will definitely return next time visiting Scottsdale.

Had dinner on New Years Eve at CD in Scottsdale. It was great, they had a special menu for NYE with a great duck dish and a Shrimp Risotto that was AMAZING! It was a good deal too. The service was great as always. They didn't have any special entertainment for the evening so it was half empty but we had a good time. I have been there on Friday and Saturday nights when they had a DJ or a band, either way it was real good entertainment. I like this place a lot, the one in Tempe has games too, but mostly the food and how creative they are with it keeps me coming back.
