Food was fine. Live music is nice but not when it’s so loud you can’t have a conversation. Our server was a bit of a mess. She left the table after only taking one drink order and she was running around, sometimes without a destination. At one point she tried to convince us that she was coherent - though the word she used was cognitive. She was obviously having a very bad night.
Food and atmosphere were amazing!
Great food and service, will return often!
I brought my mom from California to Culinary Dropout in Tempe and we were both so impressed with the high level of friendliness and service from all the staff. The server was sweet and knowledgeable and the busboys were so helpful and observant. They didn’t hover and try to take plates too early but never left a mess on the table. The food was tasty and the recommendations from the staff were just right! We will definitely be back!
This is a restaurant I would definitely visit again! The menu is amazing and not too over priced. I got the pub burger, which was delicious and I would go back just for their fries! We also got the monkey bread which was a good way to end the night!
Great service, great food, great ambiance. Hope live music comes back soon
Had an amazing experience! Our waitress was super friendly and walked us through the menu, and all of the food we ordered was fantastic (the pierogis, fried chicken, salmon, and monkey bread). Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. The outdoor dining area is the best!
Best food I've had from a restaurant in a while. Our server was sub par but he had on a back brace so he got an C- because he left us hanging for like 15 min and forgot our drinks but he was a good guy. But the food Amazing. Huge kudos to the chef everything was fantastic.
Kaylie was the hostess and was so kind! She took amazing care of us and took a picture at the end. Our server was cory, he recommended all of the best drinks and food! He was witty, personable and attentive 10/10!!! Bill was playing the live music for the night...he sounded amazing and even talked to my boyfriend after about the types of guitar he uses and how he gets it to sound the way it does. Everything from start to finish was amazing! Give all three of those employees a raise!
We were in town for a quick trip and this place was recommended by a few local friends. It was a nice atmosphere, with live music, sports on TV and the food was awesome. Our server was fantastic. All social distancing and masks were in alignment with what’s required. We used open table to set up or reservation and it was super simple.
The food was good but the live music was WAY too loud. We could not hear each other talk at our own table. We asked them to turn down the volume and they did a little bit for a few minutes and then it went right back up again. Very disappointing.
Amazing place for drinks and food were great. A little bit of everything on the menu. Planning on visiting again soon.
Good food. Varied options and great spaces to hang out. Really enjoyed the fondu and the fried chicken. Only disappointment was the small portion on the kale salad
Just visiting the area and happened upon this gem. So fun! Great cocktails food and service! Totally recommend
The hostess and server were impeccable. My date went quite smoothly. The food was great! I’ll definitely be back in sometime soon.
The rules with wearing a mask was as expected. Hopefully things go back to normal at some point.
Really disappointed by our experience as it was not consentient with what I have come to expect from Culinary Dropout. Perhaps it was just a off-night. But our booth was dirty on arrival, service was slow and the food was over salted.
We always love bringing people here from out of town. We love the atmosphere and have never had bad service or bad food.
Very nice and comfortable. Will go back for sure
We enjoyed everything on the restaurant week menu. The ribs were absolutely outstanding- flavorful and fall off the bone tender. Only downside was the high level of background noise, which made it hard to carry on dinner conversation.
The food was great and our server was excellent! All around a wonderful experience!
The staff all had face coverings and were super friendly. As always, the food was delicious.
My wife and I love this restaurant. The food is fantastic and they create their own little spin on things like meatloaf, fried chicken, fishband chips all of which I have tried. The fish is made with a great beer batter and is made with rockfish. Thick filets that are tasty and tender. The appetizers are great too, deviled eggs, pretzel bites with a unique cheese dip.
Craft beers and speciality mixed drinks
That are excellent.
Great good and service. Ambience is really modern and cool. Differently a place to checkout if you’re in town visiting.
Everything was fine. Service was good. My cocktail was excellent (had a Moscow mule). Food was pretty good French dip especially. However, It was crazy hot in there. I understand we live in Arizona and it’s crazy hot everywhere, but my date and I were sweating like we were outside and this was well into the evening so I can’t imagine what it would be like at the peak of the day.
The menu has a few things missing from "pre-covid" as can be expected with less occupants but great to have our neighborhood hangout back! Good food, service and atmosphere!
Service really sucked.....waiter took almost 10 minutes before he even approached our table and our first drink appeared 18 minutes after sitting down. Always enjoyed going there, but if this was my first time I really would have to think about whether I wanted to return. Second down fall....we ordered the pizza bread and five minutes later he came back and told us they were out.......now we have been sitting there almost 40 minutes......hope this guy isn’t there next time !!
The food was Delicious! I love the atmosphere and the games available to play. The staff was nice and friendly. Great overall experience.
Food was a little expensive... overall very cool ambiance.
You absolutely must be under40. Many of their specialty items were fair at best. The cheese fondue had no flavor. The steaks were good but small.
On a positive note, the speciality drinks were great!
Great food, friendly and attentive service!
Food was great.
Service was slow, took 20 min to take drink orders then another 20 to take food orders. Got handed off between 3 servers.
I booked a reservation for my birthday, and because it wasn’t busy they allowed me to choose where to sit! Our service was great and our brunch was delicious. There are outdoor games to play, which are really fun. I had a great experience and would recommend to my friends!
Everything was delicious, the cocktails, pretzels and fondue, the strogenoff and monkey bread. Mmmmm.....
We were in town from South Carolina and were incredibly impressed with everything from the setting to the food. It was absolutely Devine!
The veggies need to be cooked longer some seemed to be raw.
Food and service is always great
Great atmosphere and food. We had a large group and it worked well for us.
Great atmosphere. Had the fish and chips and they were delicious!
Reserved a table for 7:30, got sat at 7:50 after two or three walk-ins. Ordered bread that came after the entree along with a complimentary dessert to apologize. Service was adequate, food was adequate, drinks were awful and ambiance was typical for a loud restaurant in Tempe. Based on cost and quality of food alone, I will not go back.
