I really do love this place and come here often. This particular reservation was for a work happy hour/dinner. I was disappointed with how loud it was. The loudest it has ever been in the times that I have come to Culinary. I know a couple of my coworkers were frustrated with the noise and had a difficult time hearing people across the table. The food was good and the service was good, so minus the noise it was a good experience, but I hope that Culinary can do something to reduce the noise in future visits.

The service here is borderline unacceptable. We had to ask for clean water glasses as both of ours were filthy. My friend’s drink glass was chipped with sharp edges. Food was mediocre at best. Portions were variable, my friend got a huge pile of fries, i got about 8.

We were able to sit on the patio for open air dining on a wonderful spring evening. Drink menu was interesting for the group and happy hour prices for a pint can’t be beat. All enjoyed what they ordered. I had the fried chicken based on reviews and it didn’t miss. It was awesome! Hand cut fries and homemade potato chips and onion dip was enjoyed while the group came together.

Such a great atmosphere! We made a reservation so my friends and I got right in. The waitress was super friendly and great at her job! The food was also super yummy! All together we ordered the pretzels, turkey pastrami, and MAC burger

The roasted salmon entree was barely warm and veggies it was served with were cold. Not much for flavor or seasoning either. Pork nachos and butternut squash risotto with added prosciutto were great! Server was great too!

I had heard a lot of great things about Culinary Dropout and it exceeded all my expectations. We made reservations and got seated immediately, which was great because patrons arriving had to wait at least an hour. Once seated, we were taken care of by the staff and enjoyed our night. Great atmosphere, food and drinks. We already are planning to return to Culinary Dropout, when we come back to Arizona.

The food and service was excellent. It is a noisy bar and there is a band so if you’re going there for conversation with your dining partner or friends this would probably not be the venue for that.

Whatever the secret sauce is for this widely diverse and reservation popular restaurant appears to work but this foodie is underwhelmed. Too much going on to do anything well. This is a place where you might recommend it for a rehearsal dinner or work function but then think of it as a place for beer pong or watch games and then stick around for live music. This appears to work for those who pack this place but it is no place I would rush back.

Always a fun time at Culinary Dropout. The atmosphere is awesome! The portions of some of the dishes are kind of sad (ravioli being one) but the food is great! Maybe work on upping that dish to an adult instead of child’s portion.

I travel for a living and am in restaurants throughout the Western US constantly. Culinary Dropout in Tempe is a gem! Super cool vibe from the staff and guests, fun and open industrial space, ping pong and other games in the background, the service was friendly and timely and lastly the food was creative and delicious! I will be back!

I used open table to make a reservation and when we got there they said they don’t look at the notes therefore our patio table was given to someone else. She then proceeded to tell me how much she hates when people use open table and how I should have called to confirm everything. I showed her the emails saying it was confirmed however that didn’t matter. We ended up sitting elsewhere and it ruined part of the evening.

We were finally able to sit outside without a reservation and the service was not the best. When I asked about a martini the server knew NOTHING and exact words were “well we aren’t known for martinis so I’m not sure” we have been here several times and this has been the worst experience so far.

A bit overpriced for what you get. My wife’s salmon was not the best. My ribs were good but waitress said they were not spicy and they were. The appetizer was small but tasty. Much better value for your money elsewhere

We had a reservation for Friday at 8:30 and were sat right at 8:30 even though there was over an hour wait for non reservation holders. The live music was great, beer selection was great, and overall a great restaurant experience.

I had a team dinner and the Turkey sandwich me and one of my employees ordered were so dry that we sent them back. The service was very slow. There was a big event going on but 3 hours for dinner was very excessive. I was embarrassed for taking my team there for our first meeting together and the experience was so bad.
