Greatnfood, I had the grilled chicken club. The wait staff was very attentive and , due to the rain, they had free valet service
Got a group of friends together for a quick brunch before heading off to CA and we were all so satisfied with our experience here that we wished we could’ve stayed in AZ a little longer. Making reservations was so easy the night before, even for our group of 8. The place is also so easy to find and the complimentary valet is super convenient. The place is well-decorated and spacious with such a cool vibe that’s not pretentious at all. The ambience with the large flatscreen TVs situated everywhere and enormous back patio with ping pong tables, corn hole, and foosball perfect for little kids and big kids alike. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was exceptional, thanks to our server, Summer. If we ever come back to AZ, we’ll definitely make our way back here.
Always a fun time at The Yard, even if you don’t play games there’s so much to take I. Yes, our server was exceptional but the food came out so fast- entrees right after the app and the dessert before we were even halfway thru the entree. Not a huge deal except it was monkey bread w/ice cream. But still an enjoyable evening and because we did the restaurant week menu it was a decent value.
Food and service was off the hook! Got a bit loud, but it was just so fun to be out and about. DJ was great and we enjoyed our evening fully!
Overall a good experience. We were celebrating one of my daughter's accomplishments and it was disappointing that the menu item she really wanted was unavailable. Drinks were a bit strong.
Very surprised that the valets were turning people without reservations away saying the wait was 3 hours when nearly half of the tables were unoccupied for most of our visit.
Great food. Great service.
Awesome experience for a birthday party! The service was excellent and food was delicious!!
The steak was amazing and cooked to perfection.
Even tried Culinary Dropout for the first time during AZ Restaurant Week. Great place, fantastic patio. The servers were attentive, the food was good. The only trouble we had was with the three course concept of the AZ Restaurant Week offering. We were told that the courses would just come to us automatically. Well they came too close together. WAY TOO CLOSE together. Our main course was at the table before we had hardly had a bite of our appetizer course, and the dessert was on the table right when we started eating our main courses. The Dessert was warm monkey bread a la mode. The ice cream was completely melted liquid before we finished our dinner and got to the dessert. The “automatic coursing” of a meal like that needs to be revisited, staff has to be monitoring the course progress at the table. I am certain that we did not quite experience quite how great Culinary Dropout is with that ruched, coursed meal.
Waiter was very informative and kind. Great food and unique options.
It was great, the server was right on point and the food was delicious. This place is legit!
This was my first time here to CD. It was Great time. The service was awesome, the food was delicious but it was so Noisy. I felt like I had to shout just to have a conversation with the person next to me.
Menu doesn’t say burger comes with Mayo, would order without next time. Everything else was very good.
HORRIFIC! My daughter had her 16th birthday dinner here with friends. They sat her next to the bar and had a line of bar customers lined up around the table, leaning over and crowding their table the entire dinner- ruined the entire night. I sat in the bar area to order my dinner. I ordered a burger very well done and it was served to me RARE. Completely understaffed and most of the staff could care less -
Had to wait 20 min just to order a drink and only got served because we had to basically scream at a bartender to get her attention. Condensation dripping from the ceiling onto customers backs. It may be a popular restaurant but it’s NOT WORTH IT - absolutely the worst experience.
Server came to check on us perfect amount of times. Great service
Service was poor. Lack of attention and follow up to missing utensils and food. Food arrival was very slow.
Great food as always
My wife and I took an out of town guest to dinner at Culinary Dropout at the Yard. We were seated very quickly (reservations via OpenTable), our waitress didn't make a correlation between our age (mid 60's) and her over-bubbly, high-pitched Valley Girl conversations with us. I kept waiting for her to say OMG and I know-Right!!!!
Although I have never been a waiter/waitress/server which seems like a difficult job to do 22-50 per night, but I would think that they should change their verbal approach and tone to a level of the customers.
Ok and now the food; with a limited menu, I would think that you could order a small dinner salad before your main course arrives. But not here!, the Pork Ribs were very good, as was the Fish & Chips, but the chicken (high volume item) was very dry from being over cooked. It was a general census that the Coles Slaw was horrible! It tasked sliced cabbage mixed with water. There was no Mayo, Vinegar, or Sugar! Unfortunately, it was served as an included side item with every meal.
With three drinks and two good meals out of 3, a $110 bill was a bit steep.
Lastly, with a busy wait staff, chef's and food delivery people, you would think that the menu would have more choices on it. Maybe that is why the restaurant is called Culinary Drop Out!
Come on mangers and the GM, take a full look at the food that is being serviced. You can do much better that what is available at this time.
Got in and out in a timely manor. Service was great, and food was amazing.
Very casual atmosphere, super friendly service. We loved it and wish we had longer to enjoy it before our event.
We go to culinary dropout frequently. Usually, the food and service is great. This time, food was only alright and the service was pretty terrible. We waited 20+ minutes for water, beers were wrong, we had to wait for a while to get our check.
The whole experience was alright, nothing great about the food, the service nor the vibe.
Yummy food as always and our server was great.
We absolutely love Culinary Dropout we go to the SF restaurants 1-2 times a week, As a company you guys do a great job! but last night was just an off night, my food was served cold, and my wife's fries came out 20 minutes after her steak, I must stipulate the #1 reason you guys are tops on our list is you do my wifes fries in a separate fryer as she is celiac, and that alone gives you guys our dollars weekly, but the timing is important, not the end of the world we will be back, but not a manager in sight in our 1 plus hour dining experience, if any manager would have touched our table, I would have gladly given the feedback on the spot
Always love eating here. The Korean skirt steak was phenomenal. Great date night!
Food was spectacular.
Went for some drinks after work for happy hour. We were told happy hour is 20% off drinks before 6pm. Ordered drinks at 5:30 and were charged full price.
The food didn’t come out at the same time for everyone. Those that sat patiently waiting for the others then had cold food. Service was just okay.
Megan excellent care of our party 7. Disappointed they don't have happy hour food specials but did have 20% off of drinks. Very unassuming from the outside but great vibe and lots of seating inside and out.
Fun food, ambiance, and experience! We will be back!
I wish I had known we needed to book inside vs outside…
The service was great. The food was fresh and tasted great. Good drinks and lots on choices on tap for beer. Enjoyed the live music the guy played a lot of different eras of music.
Our group had an amazing time at the
Culinary Dropout. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back 😍.
Good menu and overall ambiance with outdoor seating. Good & drinks were above average.
We sat by the tables In front of the bar. The waiter was yelling every single order, I am assuming so the other waiters van pick up the orders. It was loud to the point that I couldn’t hear myself think or have a conversation with my date.
We had a reservation, and were directed to wait just inside the door, but we were quickly forgotten.
After finally being seated, we were taken care of by a terrific waitress.
Unfortunately, everyone (patrons and staff) were yelling at the top of their lungs to communicate because of the noise level.
Excellent food and service, however.
Next time we will return to the Gilbert location.
Our dinner was great and they were amazing at accommodating our night out for my Bachelorette party!
As usual, the food was outstanding. The service was great until the very end when we waited 30 minutes for the check, but our server was BUSY. The only bummer was that it was so loud in the dining room that you could not hear anyone except the person directly next to you and even then you needed to yell.
Food was amazing. The Brussel sprouts and lasagne were so good. The service was okay- because of it being so busy it took a long time to get drinks refilled, and I was always asking for water. Alex our server was nice- just seemed under staffed for a Saturday night. Great time with the games outside. Drinks a bit pricey but that’s the vibe there.
