They have amazing food and wonderful service. It one of a kind type of place and I will recommend coming to this place.
FYI - made a reservation through Open Table for Culinary Dropout. The hostess went to sit us outside in the yard. It was 105 degrees - made the reservation so I didn't have to sit outside. The hostess was a little rude when I said I didn't want to sit outside, but she did change us to an inside table. The waitress and food was great.
Way too loud. I couldn't hold a conversation without yelling. Food was really good, but I probably won't return based on how loud it was and how I had to basically scream to talk to my husband and the waiter.
Food is always good, service was a little off/slow but they were attentive. Noise level was high, it was difficult to carry on a casual conversation - not a deal killer, but you wouldn’t want to deal with it on that special occasion or date night.
Hi Scott! Thank you for your kind review! I am so glad you enjoyed yourself. Just a heads up, it tends to be a bit quieter during lunches and Monday-Tuesday evenings!
Food was very good and service was great. It was very noisy, but I would not let this stop me from returning.
The cocktails were inconsistent. My bride and I ordered the same be staged we had at the bar while waiting for our table. It was night and day difference and the 2nd round was disappointing. The food was ok but nothing I would order again minus pretzel bites , that was delicious and perfectly baked.
I set up for my sisters birthday. We had great service, and such a good atmosphere. We had so much fun
Great place for all ages! The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. Happy Hour prices are awesome - lots of options for both food and beverages.
Took an hour for our food to come out! We waited for our food longer than we stayed eating it, haha. Despite the wait, can't complain about the quality - my burger was juicy and delicious. Very loud, not necessarily a date spot but good for groups!
Great place with great food and music. It is super loud without a live band and that’s probably it’s only down side.
Really cool place to just let loose, great service, great food, good music. Awesome atmosphere.
Service at the bar was great. Once seated at a dining table, service was not the same. Drinks came to the table very slowly. Orders came to the table randomly. Food and drink quality was good. I’d go back to this location but may consider bar side service.
I made a reservation for Father's Day. Received an email about their Father's Day special and knew my husband would enjoy it. We arrived a bit early and were seated right away which was lovely except the hostess tried to seat us outside without even asking our preference of seating. I should preface that the restaurant was not crowded yet as it was 4:45pm. She asked if I had specified indoor seating on my reservation and I stated that I had (thinking that if the reservation had asked, I would have specified). She came back to the table and said there was an open table (there were several open tables) inside and that I did NOT specify on my reservation. I went back through the reservation process and there wasn't a place to specify except in the "special requests" section. I felt her attitude and demeanor was uncalled for and rude. In the Phoenix Summer, I would expect to be asked my seating preference and not just shoved outside. Also, the hostess' attire left nothing to the imagination and came across a bit trashy considering the dress was white and see through and she chose to wear black underwear, not to mention it was a form fitting dress and overall a poor choice for her shape. Luckily that didn't ruin the experience for us. The food was excellent and our waitress was amazing! I can't recall her name but she was absolutely magnificent and she was super sweet with our daughter. She was on top of drinks and checking in on us.
Phoenix is so hot in the summer and it’s impossible to sit outside in their patio when it’s 105 degrees. We were a party of 9 with reservations. They sat us outside and their ceiling misters and fans were a joke. Our party was unbearably hot. It was Father’s Day so they were packed. It took over 50 minutes for our meal to arrive. I’ve been here in the winter and it’s great. However in the summer, NEVER again will I sit on the patio. They should not seat anyone on their patio during the summer, in my opinion. The server was super nice and she was quick to refill our glasses though. Our party didn’t have a good experience.
Too loud to hear your own table or even your waiter. Everyone in there is yelling as a result. The musician is louder than everyone and no one can hear anyone they came with. The food took ages. The table wasn’t ready when we arrived despite having made a booking. We sat and many tables were open so that makes no sense. One meal was comped due to an error with it. Overall crap experience and there are too many great places to go to put up with this. Won’t go back.
I have been here in the past and everything was high quality. This visit was just “okay.” Not somewhere I would want to visit for a special occasion or date night. Not sure we will be returning anytime soon. Service was fine. They were just busy and the kitchen was slow. Not excited about how we spent our Father’s Day.
They treaded us great!
Great place. Awesome vibe. Love all Phoenix area locations but this is the best one. Trout is killer. Meatloaf too.
Best time to go is a Friday around 4-5 pm for Happy Hour! Had the salmon toast the pretzel w cheese and a meatloaf sandwich. Couple of Stella Artois and we were set! Great food but a little noisy. The noise level increased a lot by 600 pm when most people were there. Make reservations it's totally worth it!!
This is one of my favorite places. Tonight the service was a little slow, overall this is a great place. Food is unique and the flavors are off the charts.
We had a really good time. The food was good, the drinks were good and the atmosphere was good. At times the service was inexplainably slow as it was not crowded yet. We left just after 7pm and it was definitely transitioning into more of a club atmosphere than a restaurant, which was expected. This place is a lot of fun and we will be back.
Our server quit after he took our order. It took 40 minutes for us to get drinks.
Service could have been a little better other then that it was great!
Great service and food. Definitely a great place to hang out, play games, and eat!
They must do a better job of managing reservations , I was told they were cleaning tables for my party and then they gave the table to other guests ! My reservations were finally honored 40 minutes late !
Took 45 mins to be seated even with a reservation. The waiter was extremely friendly and was a pleasure.
Good service, great food. We always enjoy brunch at Culinary Dropout!
cool place for food & games! good food, but $3.50 for a pepsi? :( and mandatory valet??
Went for brunch. Great beer selection. I had the hash and it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Service was wonderful and manager was friendly and caring as well.
Too noisy with people trying to talk over the Televisions and Music
It's a fun place for you to hang out with friends. The service is seriously lacking. Took more than ten minutes to get an alcoholic beverage and then another ten minutes until an appetizer order was even taken and then fifteen minutes AFTER the appetizers to arrive to take an entree order. Just waiting on waiting on waiting
Great atmosphere and food. We didn't take advantage of the games area this time. Server Harrison was great and attentive to our liking.
I've been to the Tempe location a multitude of times. I've only experienced the highest quality of staff, food, and ambiance. However, this Arcadia location was simply nothing I would recommend. The fish that I've gotten 5x at the Tempe location was beyond mediocre here. The music was so loud that we couldn't even carry a conversation for dinner, and then wait for it.......
THE VALLET LOST MY FRIENDS KEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once we were told her keys were absolutely nowhere to be found, we started searching through all of the valet keys for 5 minutes ourselves (obviously, we needed to take matters into our own capable hands) before a staff member even noticed we were doing so- not that they said anything when it was discovered. LIABILITY. We then proceeded to her car to look inside the windows, which we so happily discovered was UNLOCKED. We turned around to a different car, and that car was unlocked too. We then noticed that nearly all of the vehicles in the lot were unlocked. LIABILITY. The valet staff couldn't even attend to our extreme issue appropriately or the new customers because they were so overwhelmed with their horrendous system set in place, that they ran around like helpless headless chickens. I could go on but I have better things to do with my time.
I believe this experience has me questioning the integrity of the company, and I' debating even if I should return to the Tempe location in the future. Evidently, I highly recommend NOT EVER going to the arcadia location, and if you do, DO ANYTHING BUT USE THE VALET.
The food was very good. The service was excellent. My kids can be demanding but the service never stopped smiling. Atmosphere was casual and a little loud but that’s because everyone was having a great time. I highly recommend stopping by
The service was outstanding
First order took 40 minutes to come out and super cold. Another server noticed that our food had not shown up and rattled the manager. It took them another 25 minutes to remake tacos two burgers and two sandwiches. Not the best experience even with the 35% discount😒
Yes, I would recommend. The staff is friendly and the food is great!
Excelled service. Bread Pudding French Toast is amazing!
Server was great- food was awesome. Great Mother’s Day lunch!
