I absolutely love this Sunday brunch ❤️- we took our adult children and their boyfriends and had an amazing family day breaking bread.
We had such a hard time deciding where to dine since we were from out of town and not familiar with the area. We were so pleased to have a romantic evening seated at the bar area. The food was fantastic! We started with an antipasti platter with cured meats and cheeses, had the freshest salad, and enjoyed a beautiful wild boar pasta dish. Our server (we never knew her name) was most excellent, professional, attentive, and very pleasant. The gentleman who was at the raw bar in front of us was expedient and friendly upon delivering our antipasti. He used an old-fashioned meat slicing machine, which was interesting to watch.
We would recommend to friends and also return!
I ordered from the buffet. Sliced steak was dried out as was the salmon. I reported this to the manager. Service was slow.
Mediocre hotel food strikes again. Best thing was the desserts.
The overall experience was awesome. Will definitely recommend Culina to other friends and family. Service was great.
Felt a little out of place. The girl working the front didn’t ask wether I wanted to sit inside or outside, just took me and my date outside by default. She looked genuinely confused as to why we were there and yes I did have a reservation. The waiter comes out and he talks to me in Spanish and I’m just there like ok, I’m ordering in English? Not that there’s anything wrong with Spanish however, he just assumed i knew it by looking at me. My partner and I felt a bit uncomfortable to say the least but we stayed and tried the food. The food was great, came out quickly, and even though the waiter was weird at the beginning he was very attentive. We even tried their avocado based dessert which was fantastic. I wouldn’t go again because as stated in the beginning, we felt out of place and not really welcome.
Everything was perfect. Delicious meal, good vine and nice service
Excellent in every way
Despite not being full, the waiter was not too attentive, a dish was forgotten and we craved a bit more attention
Very nice place. Comfortable, good food, good service. Will visit again.
Amazing service and brunch :) M new go to for a relaxing Sunday while enjoying great food and drinks.
Overall, great experience. It was our first time and although it didn't quite blow our socks off, we enjoyed our overall experience and menu choices. They had salted cod (baccala) which is lengthy to make so it was fabulous to find it on the menu (wish portion could have been just a tad bigger!). Also, the wild boar was delicious (and that portion was HUGE!). Appetizers were delicious as was the home made focaccia. Pizza was not my favorite but the taste was good overall. There's also a kid's menu if you have little ones (we opted not to order from it). We skipped desert. Wine options and cocktails were great as well.
I look forward to trying it again and hoping the choices will be as interesting and tastes as varied.
Our 21 year old offered to take us for a New Year's Day brunch and paid the bill out of his first paycheck.
I was not too pleased when I later found out our Waiter (We were seated outside) gave him grief for the $15 tip he put on the gratuity portion.
My understanding is the Gratuity of 15% is a "SUGGESTED" and not a Mandatory tip, otherwise, this would already be included in the bill. Furthermore, it was a Buffet, which, entailed our waiter to have minimal interaction with us.
This was a child spending a lot for his age and was unnecessarily embarrassed by this middle aged waiter that thought the $15 was not enough. NOT COOL! Our child ended up changing the gratuity from $15 to $25 but was clearly upset the rest of the day because he was embarrassed.
Its not about the money he spent, its about the NERVE OF THE SERVER to even suggest this.
We did not make a scene then as it is not our style, however, were extremely disappointed with the behavior.
Hopefully this is addressed and this gentleman educated.
Needless to say we will not be visiting this establishment again.
We returned to Culina after two years and found that the food and service was much improved. The portions were generous and the staff was attentive. Will definitely return again.
The service was excellent, and so was the food .
Everything was great , we went there celebrating my wife BD , , Irene the host was nice and very helpful, she went over her duty to accommodate us in the table we liked, Daniel our server he was great, knowledgeable and ready to help at any time. We had wonderful time. Thanks and happy holidays.
I love Culina for a business lunch. It's not too loud. The ambiance is upscale and the food is delicious. I personally love the buffet.
Great food great service and beautiful setting. Nice and quiet
I thought the ambiance, service and food were amazing
Service was slooooow. Chosen wine not available. A similar wine was recommended by the wait person. No. Wrong. Had to wait again to order from the sommelier. Food is OK. Prawns over grilled. The bus person was great, though. Manager well aware of problems but did nothing to regain our goodwill. We are diehard 4Seasons persons, except for now, for the Beverly Hills restaurant.
Amazing food and excellent service.
It’s a really nice and classy place with calm atmosphere and great food! Definitely one of our favorite 👍👌
Excellent brunch w/many options. Expensive at 100/p person (with a drink)
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time! Sonia took wonderful care of us and made some excellent recommendations. We were very impressed with the Somalia, coming out and sharing some stories as she opened a bottle of wine as well as, the chef coming out and presenting the butternut squash risotto dish out of the cheese wheel! Each course tasted delicious and we will be recommending this restaurant to all!
Amazing food Chef Luca is a boss!!! The food is always consistent and delicious!! I will be coming back always!!
Some of the best true italian food in L.A.. upscaled but authentic. Like some of the best places we ate in Italy. Every dish we tried was a winner. This included the ribolata soup, a tuscan classic.. A bit to salty but still solid. The tuscan kale salad was light and nicely presented with astounding dried tomato and enough to share. The butternut squash risotto with cheeses a hint of rosemary nicely presented from a cheese wheel it is scraped out of then put on a bit of super balsamic vinegar. The vinegar perfectly cuts the richness of the cheese and the sweet squash make a real umami winner. Rissoto spot on perfect cook.
Lasagna was a perfect true italian perfectly done. Only thing it needed was a touch of sauce around the base as it was a bit dry. But flavor perfect. The chicken marsala was also a winner. Nicely done. So many of the menu dishes sound fantastic and I can't wait to come back and try more when I want my local trip to Italy!
Great food and great service
Excellent customer service, nice setting, delish food!
A Surprise! Food and staff. Love the Carpaccio. We’ll come back.
The food was not so great. Oysters were fishy and bitter and we tried 2 kinds. My octopus and Calmari steak tasted burnt. We sent oysters back, even though octopus and Calmari were a disaster, I did like the waiter and that Russian lady who were helping our waiter and just kept and paid for that.
It’s a beautiful venue and very nice ambiance with an excellent service, I just hope they do something about the food.
Very pleasant experience.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chef Moriconi and Chef Neal Pan were SOOOOO awsome. They personal greeted us and made sure everything was up to the expectation. They even went out of their ways to prepare special birthday treats for my friends.
Consistently good food and service. Atmosphere both sophisticated and romantic. Definitely underrated restaurant.
Great chef. Fantastic Italian cuisine.
Perfect service, thanks to the wonderful waitress (Meg ?) tonight.
We will be back.
Matt & Co (France).
Excellent food in a dramatic and elegant setting. Coravin allows for unusual high-end wines that don't normally sell by the glass. My first time to sample wild boar, but for sure not my last. A creative and highly recommended presence on the Los Angeles dining scene.
Sometimes the buffet is outstanding and sometimes it's not good
Today it was not good
Lovely as always.
Upon arrival we discovered that it’s the Sunday brunch (a huge open buffet) however there were very little option for vegetarians (like me) which was an issue.
Brought two first timers here for Sunday brunch and there were plenty of options for each of us to enjoy. Solid brunch selection, IMPECCABLE service by a very attentive staff, and great ambience on the patio. We ate and drank at a leisurely pace and was never made to feel like we were overstaying our welcome.
Amazing ambiance and menu! Really enjoyed the dining experience and wine list. The patio was absolutely amazing!
