Food Was excellent , Service Wasn’t so great .
The food itself was average. Several other places within the same price range have much better food. The service was excellent.
My financial advisor from Chicago took me to dinner at Culina, my favorite restaurant. Our cocktails were excellent and the halibut, the special of the day, was perfectly done and presented--and no bones. Ditto with my friend's salmon. There is no separate section for salads, just antipasti, so we had the kitchen create a Caesars salad for us. Gelato dessert was scrumptious. I can't wait to return.
Food, service and ambiance were great. Never had a glass of wine be brought to the table with taste before it was poured to ensure you would enjoy it. Very nice touch.
I was there for Sunday brunch, they do a wonderful job of food selections. The quality is wonderful. It isn’t just the normal boring brunch menu, there is something for everyone. Healthy to decadent . Gluten-free and vegan.
Even special treats for kids.
The polenta wasn’t what I thought it would be. I was hoping for a crust on top. Everything else was great! We especially enjoyed our waiter, Daniel. His humor matched ours perfectly! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
We started off with the beef carpaccio and grilled octopus...both dishes were small but stellar. I had the rich and delicious risotto with asparagus that was brought over by the chef in a beautiful cheese bowl (yes the bowl was made of cheese!). The bowl did not stay with us...: ( My dining partners order the lamb ragu over polenta and the branzino. Do NOT skip dessert! The butter cake and butterscotch budino were heavenly! I would come back just for dessert! Major kudos to are sweet/patient/fabulous server Renee. Thank your for making our meal so special!
This was an awesome experience. My partner and I split a four course meal (we're light eaters) and our service was impeccable. Our sever never made us feel uncomfortable and was very helpful along the way. In fact, they literally split out dishes so we always had our own plates of food in front of us. The food was just as spectacular. We had the Polipo alla griglia (Grille octopus), the Ravioli al brasato e fave, the Bistecca alla griglia and the Butterscotch Budino for dessert. It was one of the best meals I've had in Los Angeles in a long time.
We went for our anniversary and greatly enjoyed our first time at Culina. Our server Michael was just about the best waiter we've ever had. Very knowledgeable, polished, attentive (but not overly so) and responsive. Food was very good. Ambiance was good though the playlist was aimed toward Millennials, and most of the clientele was over 50. That's the only thing I would change.
