At Culina Millcreek in Edmonton, Alberta, diners enjoy a wonderful menu inspired by global cuisine. However, the emphasis is on quality and so the dinner menu is a quite small and limited to an array of attentively and carefully prepared dishes designed to pair well with the wines and cocktails available.
The dinner menu for Culina Millcreek features small plates that include a spiced pumpkin soup, a Brazilian cheese fritter plate, Lebanese kibe fritters and totally unique popcorn flavored with truffle oil. There is also the Culina Millcreek charcuterie board that features an astonishing number of flavors. Large plates include meat and vegetarian options, and for dessert there is an irresistible lemon tea beer cake.
I have been there twice before and quite enjoyed but this time every appi was bread or deep fried. I know they change menu all the time so I will go back again
I love this neighbourhood eatery, so sad that it will be closing
One of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton - never disappoints. Will be very sad when it closes.
Reminds me of The Red Ox Inn. Small restaurant. Great food. A little slow but worth the wait.
Made reservations (recommended) for Sunday brunch. The location had on street parking. The size of the restaurant is quite small and felt a bit cozy. This also tended to increase the noise level a bit, but nothing to be concerned about. The menu items were unique takes on some everyday items. Quality of the food and service was good. My only complaint is that my plate (eggs benny) was not as warm as it could have been. Proportions were decent.
Great restaurant, sorry to hear that they are closing October 23rd.
I went for my 21st birthday celebration. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food. It was creative and their menu changes weekly with their ingredients being sourced locally. It wasn't busy but it was a Thursday afternoon/evening. Despite that the bill times were quite long which is why I took a star off for service. Otherwise the staff were wonderful and informed about the menu. I love going there as the ambiance is always very relaxing.
We dropped by Culina Millcreek on our way to a Fringe show. Timing was a bit tight, and e told our waiter. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the speed of service, and very impressed by the quality and presentation of the food. This is a gem of a neighbourhood restaurant that people should check out soon.
The food wasn't as good as it used to be. Ordered eggs Benny, one egg was over cooked, the other had a clear egg white. Our waitress was still clearly drunk at 10am. She took food and drinks to wrong tables multiple times, didn't clear empty plates or check on tables. I'm amazed she was able to pour coffee the way she circled the rim of the cup narrowly avoiding spillage.
Very creative menu and great service. And always check out the drink of the day!
Always great- continue to frequent it as
Both a neighbour and a special place to dine
We have not been to Culina Mill Creek for a few months and again were reminded why we should not leave so much time between visits. Food was great and as usual inventive; unique and service very friendly & interactive! Will be back soon.
Food is good but portions are to large.
Fantastic food! Great service!
Food quality always superb. Server was phenomenal!
Very nice room and the food was excellent. We were on a first date so having a longer wait between dishes could have been very awkward but fortunately it worked out. Staff were very patient in letting us stay and chat for a long time. We suddenly realized we were the only people still there and got up and left. All without feeling rushed out.
It was good but staff were off putting. I enjoyed the meal with my family but my husband's food was not very good.
Great meal, generous portions.
I'm glad to have my very last dinner in Edmonton here. I had 'chicken two-ways'. It was so good!
The staff was very attentive and friendly .
This restaurant is not big but has warm vibe.
excellent service, great timing with everything, atmosphere great and food fantastic!!!
First off, I made a reservation through opentable , and I decided to call to confirm since this was a special occasion. It was a good thing, because they didn't have my reservation!
We had the charcuterie board, the duck and waffles, and a warm lentil and artichoke salad. I wasn't a big fan of the salad, it was ok. The duck and waffles was amazing though and the board was very good. Our waiter was also super friendly.
Overall, it was a very good dinner and am looking forward to going back.
We brought a business associate for dinner, so we were three. Our server always picked the right time to approach and help. One of our diners is Celiac, Culina is always great at accommodating for this, and the food was excellent. Culina is one our favourite spots!
The service was fantastic and the food was delicious! The Alberta Garlic was a bit strong for my liking but everything else was really delicious.
Absolutely the best steak, and creme brûlée I have ever had. Service was fantastic, if you haven't been there before it is an Edmonton treasure.
Found the restaurant cold and diaapointed that they now change the menus every week I liked their old menu and was looking forward to something I had enjoyed in the past
Culina is a cosy little romantic spot for a great night out. we enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Overall, the food was amazing. Definitely the go to spot for a good brunch!
This was the third time I have been here in the past year and I am looking forward to my next visit already. The service was exceptional and the food outstanding, this has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Edmonton.
Went with friends for Sunday brunch for my Wife's Birthday. The tables were spaced very well so you could hear the other people at the table just fine. They brought a big cold water "wine bottle" jug out which was a very nice touch. The hot drinks were excellent, and the food was very good, and full of flavor. Very unique menu gave you a lot of interesting and unique choices. They were also accommodating to dietary needs. The potatoes were very spicy, so if you're not a spice person I wouldn't recommend them. Tasted very good though, just a lot of kick. It was pretty full right from the start of their brunch, so book in advance if you want a table. People tried to walk in, and unfortunately could not be accommodated. Parking can be a challenge...There's some on the street, but it fills up fast. Overall t is a very warm, comfortable, and eclectic restaurant with a very nice charm about it. Would definitely go back.
My dining companions were happy with their food and the service was very good. I thought the vegetarian option , which featured chickpeas and rice, was overpriced at $25. My order took slightly longer to come from the kitchen and the chickpeas were too crunchy for my taste.
