we discovered this restaurant on our honeymoon and we really look forward to revisiting it on our anniversary each year when possible. We love being seated at the table in front of the fire place..a favorite of ours. The ambiance is wonderful and the food and service are superb.

Although the restaurant was out of my first choice (would you believe - chicken?) my second choice was quite satisfactory. Beautiful venue.

A truly disappointing lunch!
We don't know if the chef wasn't paying attention, the server was new and poorly trained, he failed to put our order in or what, but almost everything that could go wrong did. It took over 2 hours for 2 courses (and we both started with mushroom soup), so we didn't have dessert. Even if the waiter had offered a complimentary dessert to make up for all the problems, we wouldn't have had time for it. In fact, I was late to my spa treatment thanks to his poor service.

We had a couple questions about dishes we were debating about, but Marcos gave few details about them; so I was surprised when my chicken, which he'd said was roasted, came out drenched in sauce and with a rubbery skin. He did, however, go on at length about the lobster bisque and other dishes we weren't interested in. When he finally came back to the table to take our orders he first told us he wanted to tell us more about the seafood options. I told him we weren't interested and had already chosen what we wanted but he insisted on telling us, at length, about the seafood options. Why?!

Everything but the chicken was overcooked. This was clearly due to the chicken being still not cooked 30 minutes after our soup bowls had been cleared. Marcos said the chicken wasn't done, at 1 pm, and would be a few more minutes. A quarter hour later our main courses came out. Clearly everything else had been done and sitting back there, dying, while the chicken was finished. A major part of being a chef is knowing how to cook dishes, both the recipes and the cooking time involved. My husband's pasta was so over cooked and starchy that he could barely eat half of it. My vegetables were all over cooked, with the roasted radishes and haricot verts visibly shriveled. I would have sent it back if we weren't already running so late.

I had to cut Marcos off when he began describing desserts I wasn't interested in, and didn't have time to order.

Just very good food. Classic. Wonderful menu. Plan to come back. Wine pairing turned out to be excellent. Highly recommended.

A busy night and the kitchen slowed; brought soup “on the house” and comped a glass of wine. Would have much preferred smooth service. Food was ok.

The cuisine, service, and environment are the BEST in the Valley. Chef enjoys visiting each table and inquiring about his creations. The service is impeccable too. Every entree we have tried has been extraordinary... from the Lobster Ravioli, the roasted chicken, and rack of lamb... all fresh, delicious, and remarkable.
