Always top notch service and diversified menu
Outstanding service! Food was good, but could be better. I want my croissants flakier and hot when served. Would be back in this restaurant if I happen to be in Palm Springs again.
Arrived at 6:15, order a bottle of wine at 6:30. No menus until 7:15. Some bread arrived around 7:30! Ordered two meat dinner, mine was over cooked and my wife’s was under cooked! At approximately 8pm we told the waiter to put our dessert in a box to go and took the balance of the wine with us. Service was not good because I noticed there was only one waiter for the entire room. Also the bill was incorrect (wrong bottle of wine on the bill). When we arrived no one was there to greet us until a bus boy came over. For $200 I could have gone to many other great places for my anniversary (51st) in the palm desert area.
What a lovely evening at Cuistot. We had the Branzino fish with almonds which was fabulous.
Lovely dinner. The room really makes it special. Prices on web site are much lower than the menu prices, not sure why they haven't updated on line. The mushroom soup is excellent! Liked the lamb, but really still prefer Vicki's lamb as the best in the Valley. Will definitely try some new things next time. Server did not come around as much as we would have liked.
The lobster pot pie is to die for.
Very generous portions of lobster in each pie. Well worth the splurge.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!! Always a favorite place to meet friends fo lunch!
We were there to try the Restaurant Week specials. They did not disappoint!
Hostess and wait staff immediately made us feel welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant, warm and inviting.
My wife had the tomato basil soup that was elegant and the trout which she really enjoyed.
I tried the potato and sausage appetizer which was different and nice while the lamb chops and sliced leg of lamb was just delish!
It was our first visit to Cuistot, but it won't be our last.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
Always a wonderful experience.
Chris, the sommelier was incredibly helpful helping pair wines with the menu.
Always an excellent choice! Amazing food and attentive service! It is as if you have been whisked off to a private dining club in France. Our favorite special occasion restaurant. Actually you don’t need any occasion to visit 😄.
Restaurant is lovely. Service was very good. Meals were delivered to the table were hot. Trout dinner was disappointing in flavor. Branzino dinner was excellent. Rene Lamy Chardonnay was very good. Keenan Chardonnay was bitter and disappointing.
Gracious and charming from the time you arrive until it's (sadly) time to go. Light cuisine and friendly service in tastefully understated, yet elegant surroundings. A jewel among the many other dining gems in the Coachella Valley, but one that sparkles a bit more than the others.
The food was amazing, however the service was slow.
We had dinner outside first of all the place was dead. Our appetizers and dinner was so so. The desert was better.
Service was average.
Food was exceptional, 3 course meal as part of Restaurant Week... Service was attentive, and very professional.... It is clearly recommended when visiting Palm Desert... Utterly enjoyable evening with my daughter....
Went for Restaurant Week, six of us, 5 had Sea Bass and 1 had Veal Patty. Food was excellent but we all agreed that the portion, especially for lunch, was almost too much. The Sauvignon by the glass was too expensive for the quality. Desert was loved by all.
Best mushroom soup I’ve had since moving to the desert.
Always the best meal in the desert. A bit noisy only becasue of a large party.
During restaurant week. Had a delicious and delightful evening. Will be back.
Exceeded expectations! Food not only was good but presented in a beautiful way.
We had a great meal last night at Cuistot in Palm Desert with sister-in-law & a friend. Sat out on patio which was delightful! Huge number of choices from 3 menus - a Restaurant week menu, Regional French Menu and the regular menu! Food was delicious. And it is a Wine Vault member so 1 bottle/no corkage.
Fabulous food, ambiance and service! We will be back again..
Great food. Service could have been better.
We went for lunch during Restaurant Week. Too hot to sit outside. Beautiful old world style. My friend ordered the crab salad---what a poor excuse for a salad. Our friends ordered the shrimp louie which looked a lot better-from the regular menu. I had the fish entree and it was fine. I wouldn't serve anything that pitiful at my own house. It was a very small scoop of crab surrounded by thin slices of something. If we hadn't been with friends, I would have sent it back.
Very nice surprise!
Great service, thank you!
We asked to eat on the patio, since the weather was only 75-78F, and there was plenty of daylight left after 7:00PM.
Sat near the fireplace....great ambiance, and no heat gain, and no wind.
Chris McElroy, handled our 1989 Ch Lafite Rothschild deftly and kept the decanter in their 55F cellar, except when pouring......best idea in ages, since 78F red wine is not ideal, but unfortunately, the norm at 99% of Desert restaurants.
Chef Gernand was at the top of his game from his signature quenelles to the Floating Island desert.
Best experience at Cuistot in ages....definitely worth the price this time.
What a fantastic place for dinner. Everything was perfect. I can't say enough nice things about the restaurant the staff and most of all the food.
First time visiting. Noisy when we first arrived (bleedover from bar) but it quieted down quickly. Lovely evening. Ariandra was a terrific server and we were all very pleased with our meals. Would definitely return!
We went to a wine dinner focusing on wines from France, and specifically from the Rhone region. The food was wonderful and the wines were perfectly matched. There were five courses in all, and after each course we wondered how the next course could equal what we had before. The wines were high quality and there was a chance to order them directly fro the restaurant. The sommelier was knowledgeable and well prepared to give an interesting presentation.
Had reservation in the dining room but we came early and ate in the bar. The bar menu is quite comprehensive especially considering you are in the bar, not the main dining area. That said, we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and wanted a “special occasion “ experience without dealing with the very pricey dining room menu. And we were quite pleased with everything. Service was excellent, wine list was well designed and reasonably priced. We shared pate’ with toast points, then soup ( I had a wonderful wild mushroom soup, wife’s was chilled asparagus which she liked). I had cassoulet for main course, wife had short rib ravioli. The cassoulet was outstanding and served piping hot. Ravioli was not a big hit with wife; combination of meat, sauce and pasta just didn’t do it for her. I’ll go back for sure, maybe even try the beautiful main dining room by the fireplace.
Never disappointed. Love the fireplace room-the ambiance is transporting, the chef cooks to perfection.
Although we had many choices in Palm Desert, this was the best choice.mAttention to detail was top of mind and the device was impeccable. The lobster pot pie was superb.
Always a delight. Great for an afternoon on the patio.
The lobster pot pie was highlighted in the local magazine so I really wanted to try it! I had the short rib ravioli for starter ( don’t normally eat such rich food , so went for it) and both didn’t disappoint. My husband had the filet for main. Unfortunately it was smothered in burnt garlic even though it was cooked well. The fries tasted as though they had been reheated in old oil which was also disappointing and very little veg. The place was empty, just a few tables occupied and it was very 80s decor not what I had expected at all. Don’t think we will revisit.
Delicious as always. One of the most consistent and flavorful restaurants I have ever been to and keep going back! Service is top notch!
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Most expensive steak - the filet - was tasteless. Very disappointing.
As a former NYer living in Rancho Mirage(since 1989) we are always looking for the best dining experiences in the Coachella Valley. Cuistot and chef Bernard have only gotten better and are without doubt the best restaurant in the desert. Check them out for food, ambience, service - simply superior.
