We love Cognocenti, our local restaurant, and we especially enjoy their special dinners with a set menu. The service was as always, perfect. The food was excellent especially the cheese souffle, it was memorable! The wine matching was also just right. I do have a couple of comments: the green salad was lovely and fresh except that we could not detect any of the promised shallot dressing. So I asked the waitress whether perhaps it may have been forgotten and she said No, it was there. Well, it didn't taste like it had any dressing nor were there any visible bits. And she just walked away and that was it. I thought that maybe she may have taken it away or maybe even checked with the chef, however, nothing further was said or done. The green leaves were therefore a bit tasteless and missing "something". The profiterole dessert was fabulous but I could have done with one half the size (though my husband thought it was a good size!). Overall, a great experience once again.

A lovely lunch experience shared with friends. The food was delicious and service was exceptional.

Gorgeous setting with the loveliest staff. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic music. Just a wonderful afternoon out. Highly recommend.

We didn’t eat here but the pizzas next-door were very good. The ambience is fabulous, nice and busy, open fire. Over the last few years, we have been intermittent regulars but haven’t been for awhile. I don’t think the staff were particularly happy about us taking a table for 9, only 3 of us for half an hour, (personal reasons), the rest joining at various stages over the evening. Overall, a very positive experience and we will return.
